Abstract

In the province of West Nusa Tenggara, the purpose of this study is to investigate the extent to which salary levels, educational levels, and working hours have an impact on the capacity of the formal sector to absorb labor. From 2013 to 2023, this analysis makes use of secondary data in the form of time series derived from publications by the Bureau of Public Statistics. This research was conducted utilizing the OLS (ordinary least square) approach, which was carried out with the help of the Eviews 12 software. According to the findings of the research, the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable only accounts for 99.5% of the total, while the remaining 5% is influenced by other variables that are not related to this study. It is possible to draw the conclusion that the salary level variable has a positive and substantial influence on the formal sector labor absorption variable in NTB. On the other hand, the education level and working hours variables do not have a positive and significant effect on this variable. At the same time, it is possible to draw the conclusion that the salary level variable has a substantial influence simultaneously (at the same time), whereas the education level and working hours variables do not have an effect and are not significant on the capacity of the formal sector to absorb labor in NTB.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of economic conditions, family environment, and self-efficacy on entrepreneurial interest among students of the Economics Department at the University of Mataram. The research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. A total of 50 students were selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS software. The results indicate that both simultaneously and partially, all three independent variables—economic conditions, family environment, and self-efficacy—have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. The R² value of 0.559 shows that 55.9% of the variation in entrepreneurial interest can be explained by these variables. These findings suggest that a combination of external support and personal confidence plays a crucial role in fostering students' entrepreneurial motivation.

Abstract

Through various life experiences that include moral, social, and spiritual education, the Prophet Muhammad's education provides in-depth knowledge about character and intellectual formation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature approach and analyzes various primary and secondary sources about the Prophet's life to learn how he was educated, from childhood to adulthood, and how it has influenced the modern education system. This education builds loyal, responsible, and moral characters. A holistic approach to character, such as the habituation of moral values, dialogic, and deliberation, is important for the modern education system. In short, the education taught by the Prophet Muhammad can serve as an ideal model for building individuals who excel spiritually, morally, and intellectually. This method offers a solution to the moral crisis occurring in the modern education system.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which work environment, health insurance, incentives, and motivation influence employee productivity at Bank BNI Sub Branch Office  in West Sumbawa. The subjects of this research include all employees located across three sub-districts, namely Taliwang, Maluk, and Sekongkang, with a total of 39 respondents. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method and purposive sampling technique as the basis for sample selection. Data were collected through the distribution of closed ended questionnaires conducted online via the Google Form platform. Data analysis was carried out using EViews software through a multiple linear regression model.  The analysis results indicate that the work environment variable has a significant influence on employee productivity. Meanwhile, the variables of health insurance and motivation, when examined individually (partially), do not show a significant impact. On the other hand, the incentive variable shows a nearly significant influence, indicating a potential positive contribution to productivity enhancement. Overall (simultaneously), the four variables are proven to significantly influence employee productivity. The regression model used in this study also demonstrates a reasonably adequate level of accuracy, with the variation in productivity being explained by the independent variables at a moderate level.

Abstract

The cherry tree is one of the plants that has great potential to be utilized because it contains several beneficial bioactive compounds, one of which is flavonoids.. The purpose of this research is to determine the alpha-glucosidase enzyme inhibition activity of an ethanol extract of cherry blossoms (Muntingia calabura L.) in vitro using a microplate reader instrument. The research method begins with preparing the sample by maceration using 96% ethanol as a solvent, followed by testing the inhibition of alpha-glucosidase enzyme activity using p-nitrophenyl- α-D-glucopyranoside (PNPG) substrate and acarbose as a comparison. The potential of a compound to inhibit enzyme activity can be determined by calculating the IC50. The results showed that the ethanol extract of cherry blossoms (Muntingia calabura L.) has an IC50 value of 135.53 µg/mL, higher than the IC50 value of acarbose at 41.17 µg/mL.
