Abstract

Abstract

In biodiversity material, innovative contextual media with variety is needed to capture students’ attention. This research focuses on developing and evaluating the effectiveness of flash card for biodiversity topics. The study follows Research and Development methods (R&D), ADDIE Approach consisting of phase Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The Subjects are students grade X at SMA Kristen Satya Wacana. In the analysis phase, 78% of students' difficulty with biodiversity topics, specifically in levels, distribution and the lack of existing flash card  media. Based on this analysis, flash card and aquascape media have the potential for development. In the design phase, flash card media, aquascape, LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) and test questions were created. In the development phase, flash card media achieved was very valid (91%) and the aquascape media was very valid (87%). Trial results demonstrated that both media were very effective (81%). These results can be implemented. In the implementation phase, it showed a moderate N-gain score of 0.57. In the evaluation phase, the students’ responses were effective (75%) and the teacher responses were very effective (95%) for biodiversity topics. In conclusion, the flash card and aquascape media are very valid and effective educational tools in learning.

Abstract

Learning innovation is a form of learning development, such as teaching media development. One of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely climate action, is introduced through the ecosystem and environmental change sub-material of global warming in grade 10. At SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga, learning global warming material has not used KIT (Integrated Instrument Components) learning media and problem-based learning models. This research aims to develop KIT "EGCA" media and test its effectiveness. This is an R&D (Research and Development) study with the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Data analysis used media validity analysis and N-Gain Score to determine the improvement of learning outcomes (Pre-Post test). Based on the results of the study, most students are not familiar with SDGs, PBL, and KIT. The results of the validation test of KIT "EGCA" and learning modules obtained a very valid category, while the KIT "EGCA" instructions and student worksheets were valid. The results of the N-Gain calculation obtained a moderate category, which means that the developed product is effective. These results indicate that the "EGCA" KIT developed is valid and effective for use in learning. The implementation of KIT "EGCA" still needs to be optimized so that students are more familiar with SGDs, PBL, and KIT itself.

Abstract

Abstract A leader's behavior is suspected to influence employee's subjective well-being (SWB) in achieving organizational goals through idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized, consideration that provides an evaluation of the life and positive-negative affect on the employee. Transformational leadership (TFL) is leadership that supports followers thinking creatively by using new approaches or strategies, engaging employees in the decision making process, inspiring employee loyalty, and trying to understand individual employee differences to develop optimal potential. SWB is a global evaluation of themselves and positive and negative affect. The aim of research to determine the correlation of TFL and SWB on 66 production employees at PT. X Salatiga. The data collection is used by the multifactor leadership questionnaire scale (MLQ), satisfaction whit life scale (SWLS) and positive-negative affect scale (PANAS) to measure SWB. The result showed a positive correlation between TFL on SWB with r = 0.51 (p = 0.00). Keywords: Transformational leadership, subjective well-being, satisfaction, positive-negative affect

Abstract

The high diversity of tree and shrub that were deliberately planted in the campus environment, is a proof of Satya Wacana Christian University's (UKSW) commitment in implementing the green campus concept. This Community Service aims to assist UKSW as a partner, in providing comprehensive, educational, and accessible information regarding vegetation identity in the campus environment for all academics and visitors. Those information is presented in the form of a tree identity board containing the local name, scientific name, international name, and QR code to access a website which contains comprehensive information about each type of vegetation, called "Kampus Floraku". The outputs were PkM include: 1) documentation of existing vegetation types in the campus environment along with other relevant information, 2) installation of 140 tree identity boards, and 3) easy access to information regarding the identity of existing vegetation through QR code technology. Results of monitoring phase shown 91.3% of respondents stated that the PkM activities were useful, and 95.6% of respondents stated that the information on the tree identity board was interesting and was able to arouse curiosity about campus vegetation. Therefore, it is concluded that the outputs of PkM can increasing the awareness among campus residents regarding the importance of preserving vegetation in the UKSW environment, as one of the assets to support further efforts in implementing a green campus concept.
