Penelitian tentang pengaruh penambahan eco-enzyme terhadap struktur komunitas alga perifiton bertujuan untuk menjawab salah satu alternatif penanganan pencemaran ekosistem perairan dengan memperhitungkan dampak negatif yang dapat dihasilkan seperti meledaknya populasi alga perifiton. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Akuakultur Fakultas Biologi, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, Salatiga. Waktu penelitian dilakukan mulai bulan Januari hingga Mei 2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental, perifiton akan ditumbuhkan pada aquarium volume 4 L., dengan menggunakan enam pemberian eco-enzyme konsentrasi 0,5 ml/L, 1 ml/L, 2 ml/L, 4 ml/L, 8 ml/L, dan tanpa eco-enzyme sebagai kontrol, kemudian akan dilakukan pengamatan terhadap suhu, TDS, dan struktur komunitas alga perifiton. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ditemukan 5 jenis spesies alga perifiton. Kepadatan terendah alga perifiton ditemukan pada perlakuan eco-enzyme dam tertinggi pada kontrol, sedangkan berdasarkan indeks keanekaragaman dan keseragaman ditemukan rendah dengan nilai dibawah 1. Indeks dominansi nilainya mendekati 1, yang berarti terjadi dominansi oleh salah satu spesies alga perifiton yaitu Synedra ulna. Penambahan eco-enzyme pada konsentrasi yang tinggi dapat menghambat pertumbuhan alga perifiton. Research on the effect of adding eco-enzymes on the community structure of periphyton algae aims to answer one alternative for dealing with pollution of aquatic ecosystems by taking into account the negative impacts that can result, such as exploding populations of periphyton algae. The research was conducted at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Faculty of Biology, Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga. The time of the research was carried out from January to May 2023. The method used is an experimental method, periphyton will be grown in a 4 L volume aquarium, using six eco-enzyme concentrations of 0.5 ml/L, 1 ml/L, 2 ml/L. L, 4 ml/L, 8 ml/L, and without eco-enzyme as a control, then observations will be made on temperature, TDS, and periphyton algae community structure. The research results showed that 5 types of periphyton algae species were found. The lowest density of periphyton algae was found in the Eco-enzyme treatment and the highest was in the control, whereas based on the diversity and uniformity index it was found to be low with a value below 1. The dominance index value was close to 1, which means that there was dominance by one species of periphyton algae, namely Synedra ulna. The addition of eco-enzyme at high concentrations can inhibit the growth of periphyton algae.
