Abstract

Herbal medicine is a traditional medicine that has proven effective in maintaining and overcoming health problems. Currently, consuming herbal medicine is a trend in maintaining the body's immune system. One of the natural ingredients used is the butterfly pea flower, which grows abundantly in the yards of residents of Siwalan Village, Sawaahan District, Nganjuk Regency. This community service activity targets the local Family Health Empowerment (PKK) group so that members are motivated to utilize butterfly pea plants as herbal medicine ingredients and business opportunities. The activity was conducted through counseling, direct practice, and interactive discussions. Participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity and actively participated. The evaluation results showed increased participant understanding from an average of 1.2 - 2.2 before the activity to 1 - 4.5 after the activity. This shows a significant increase in participant knowledge and skills. In this activity, participants learned about the benefits, processing methods, and increasing the economic value of butterfly pea plants. In addition, participants also learned about business opportunities from butterfly pea raw materials to create entrepreneurial activities in the local environment.

Abstract

Kegiatan budidaya tanaman bawang merah merupakan salah satu usaha yang banyak dilakukan oleh petani di Kecamatan Rejoso Kabupaten Nganjuk. Hal ini dikarenakan bawang merah merupakan salah satukomoditas yang secara ekonomis memberikan keuntungan. Tujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan usaha di tingkat petani dengan melihat nilai R/C. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Rejoso Kabupaten Nganjuk dalam waktu 2 bulan, yakni Oktober sampai dengan November 2022 dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 30 petani. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pendekatan dekriptif dan pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat analisis menggunakan perhitungan penerimaan, keuntungan, dan R/C ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata biaya petani bawang merah sebesar Rp23.568.610,33; rata-rata penerimaan petani dengan produksi mencapai 2.770 Kg sebesar Rp33.240.000,00; dan keuntungan petani sebesar Rp9.671.389,33. Hasil perhitungan rata-rata R/C petani bawang merah ialah 1,4. Usaha budidaya bawang merah dinilai layak dan menguntungkan untuk dijalankan dalam usaha tani di Kabupaten Nganjuk Shallot cultivation is one of the many business carried out by Farmers in Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. Because shallots is one of the commodities that economical profitable. The purpose of this research was to know R/C analysis in onion farmer’s onion. It was in Rejoso Nganjuk Regency. It done among 2 month, October until November 2022. It needed 30 farmers. Method used descriptive and It used purposive sampling. Analysis that was used to counting of appropriateness was income, profit and R/C ratio. The result showed average of production Rp23.568.610,33; production onion 2.770 Kg, average total income Rp33.240.000,00; and the profit as Rp9.671.389,33. R/C of this research was 1,4. Business of onion has a good value of R/C

Abstract

Mustard greens (Brassica sp.) are one of the horticultural plants widely cultivated by the community. Mustard production can be increased through fertilization activities. Mustard plants require balanced soil nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (N, P, K) to support optimal growth. Liquid organic fertilizer (POC) has been developed to reduce dependence on the use of inorganic fertilizers. POC made from shallots contains complete macro and micronutrients that can be utilized by mustard plants for optimal growth. This research aims to study the response of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from shallots on the growth of various types of mustard greens. The research was conducted at the Jember State Polytechnic from June to August 2024, using a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 replications, involving POC concentrations of 0, 20, 40, and 60 ml/L on the mustard varieties Pakcoy, Samhong, Pagoda, and Caisim. The results showed that the 60 ml/L POC concentration significantly increased the number of leaves and plant height in Samhong and Pagoda mustard greens at 40 days after planting.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to empower women entrepreneurs in Nganjuk Regency through training in processing banana heart and catfish into shredded fish. This program was initiated to improve the skills and economic income of women's groups, as well as to optimize the utilization of abundant but underutilized local resources. The criteria for women entrepreneurs who participate in this program are 1) women entrepreneurs who are members of the Nganjuk Regency UMKM, 2) have an interest in catfish processing and 3) women entrepreneurs who play an active role in developing the creative economy. The methods used include analysis of needs problems, technical training in raw material processing, business management, and shredded fish product marketing strategies, monitoring and evaluation. This activity was carried out at the Village Hall of Kauman Village, Nganjuk District, Nganjuk Regency. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in technical skills, business knowledge, and income of the women's groups involved. In addition, participants were able to learn business management and marketing strategies that helped them develop their businesses professionally and sustainably.. The success of this activity confirms that appropriate training and empowerment can produce sustainable positive changes and become a model that can be applied in other areas.
