Abstract

Low productivity of ruminants due to many factors and one of them is lack of feed ingredients in quality and sustainable in quantity. One of sources can be an alternative feed ingredients that containing fibers as a substitute of grass is corn cobs which becoming other earnings of corn farmers. The aim of this research is going to determine the effect of using EM4 on nutritional (contents of crude protein and crude fiber) fermentation quality of corncobs. The experimental design used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 times replication, treatment J0 = corncobs with no fermentation (control); J1 = fermentation corncobs with EM4 (500 ml); J2 = corncobs fermented with EM4 (700 ml); J3 = fermentation corncobs with EM4 (500 ml). Treatment effects was analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and followed by a test (DUNCAN) if only known there is a significant effect among the treatments. The results showed that the lowest crude fiber content in treatment J3 (38.41) and the highest in J0 (46.01) was significantly different with treatment J1 (42.49) and J2 (40.81). The Lowest of protein content is in treatment J0 (2.88) and the highest in J3 (8:02) significantly different with treatment J1 (3.65) and J2 (4:27). The best treatment of this research is contained in fermented corn cob with EM4 with the in 900 ml.

Abstract

Emergency management is a key component in patient care that requires rapid and appropriate intervention. Effective training of nurses in this regard is essential to ensure competent and professional treatment. The proposed test approach is an evaluation method that can provide in-depth insight into the effectiveness of training in improving nurses' knowledge and skills in handling emergencies. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of emergency management training for adult nurses using a pre-post-test approach. The main focus of the research was to measure the increase in nurses' knowledge and skills after attending the training. This research method was carried out using a quantitative approach with a pre-post-test study design. Data was collected through knowledge tests before and after training, as well as direct observation of nurses' practical skills in handling emergencies. The results of this study indicate an increase in nurses' knowledge and skills after attending emergency management training. The average score on the knowledge test increased after training, indicating the effectiveness of training in increasing nurses' understanding of emergency management procedures. In addition, observations of nurses' practical skills also showed a significant improvement in their ability to handle emergencies. The conclusion of this study shows that emergency management training with a pre-post-test approach is effective in increasing the knowledge and skills of adult nurses. These results emphasize the importance of regular training and systematic evaluation of nurses' abilities in handling emergencies. Thus, recommendations are given to continue the development and implementation of similar training in an effort to improve the quality of emergency health services.

Abstract

Background: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into the criminal justice system, promising to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. However, the use of AI also raises significant ethical and legal challenges, including concerns about bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability. These challenges necessitate a thorough examination of AI's impact on the criminal justice system to ensure its benefits are realized without compromising ethical and legal standards. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the impact of AI on the criminal justice system, focusing on the ethical and legal challenges it presents. The research seeks to understand how AI technologies are being implemented, their effects on decision-making processes, and the extent to which they adhere to ethical and legal principles. The goal is to identify best practices and propose solutions to mitigate potential risks. Methods: A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Quantitative data were collected from 250 criminal justice professionals, measuring their perceptions of AI's impact on various aspects of the justice system. Qualitative interviews with 40 key stakeholders provided deeper insights into the ethical and legal challenges associated with AI integration. Data were analyzed using statistical methods for the surveys and thematic analysis for the interviews. Results: Findings indicate that AI can significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the criminal justice system but also presents substantial ethical and legal challenges. Issues such as algorithmic bias, lack of transparency, and accountability were frequently highlighted. Best practices identified include implementing rigorous validation processes, ensuring transparency in AI decision-making, and establishing clear accountability frameworks. Conclusion: While AI holds significant promise for improving the criminal justice system, addressing ethical and legal challenges is crucial for its successful integration. Implementing best practices can mitigate risks and ensure that AI technologies are used responsibly. Future research should focus on developing comprehensive guidelines and policies to govern the use of AI in the criminal justice system.
