Abstract

Education must be adapted to the development of the times so that the academics are required to innovate by utilizing the sophistication of technology as a source of learning, learning media, and teaching and learning process. The development of globalization has an impact on the character of children today who are considered alarming. This can be seen from the development of personality and social development that is not in accordance with religious norms, cultural norms, and social norms prevailing in society. Children tend to be so selfish that they don't like to work together, can't respect their parents or teachers, often they are trapped in the world of crime and drugs. Efforts to instill the values of character education in children in the millennial era can be done by integrating subjects through technology, for example in learning Indonesian language children are assigned to memca poems, short stories, or novels which contain elements of moral values contained in literary works on the Internet. The formulation of the problems in this study are as follows: a) What are the values of character education contained in the short stories of IKIP Siliwangi students? b) What character education values are most contained in the short stories of IKIP Siliwangi students? This research is a qualitative study using descriptive analytical methods. Judging on the basis of methods and objectives, this research includes research and development.

Abstract

This dedication is motivated by the many legal problems that are motivated by the unwise language on social media. One of them, social media at this time is often misused by humans to spread false news and spread hatred. Not infrequently people who do not have the awareness and knowledge about the use of social media are carried away by the current. As a result, the community will potentially get into legal problems. Currently, the use of social media that contains such violations will be subject to the ITE Law. The purpose of this service is to provide counseling as a solution for people who are considered to still do not have the awareness and language skills on social media wisely, well, and politely. This service method is by providing planned and structured counseling to teachers and students of the Miftahul Ihsan Al Banjary Foundation, Banjar City. The results of observations and questionnaires showed that the teacher and student participants were enthusiastic and gained knowledge about polite language on social media. It is hoped that this activity will provide knowledge and increase the awareness of teachers and students of the Miftahul Ihsan Al Banjary Foundation in Banjar City in wise and polite language on social media.

Abstract

Poetry is a literary work whose language is bound by rhyme and is a person's ideas and feelings about something that are poured into beautiful words.  Language style is one of the media in stylistic studies that can be used as a medium in assessing the beauty of fictional poetry and prose works.  The background of this research is to analyze the language style (figure of speech) used in Ali Hasjmi's sorry poetry, as well as to assist in the development of Indonesian language learning in analyzing the language style of the poetry.  The method used by researchers is a qualitative descriptive method.  The data analysis was carried out through several stages including literature study by reading, writing the required content, and identifying the verse and lines of poetry that contained language styles.  The results found in Ali Hasjmi's regretful poetry include three styles of language including affirmation, satire and comparison.  The figures used are personification, metaphoric, hyperbole, sinekdoke, rhetorical, and irony.  In regret poetry there are four stanzas and fifteen lines.

Abstract

Writing exposition text is still considered difficult by students, especially in today's online learning which is not face to face. The use of appropriate methods and media can be a solution in the online learning process by utilizing available applications. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in online learning to write exposition text with discovery learning method assisted by Quizizz media and what difficulties students experience in writing exposition text; to find out students' responses to online learning to write exposition text using discovery learning method assisted by Quizizz media. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and questionnaires. The success of learning is seen from the results of the knowledge and skills test which shows the average value of both of them is 77.2 and has met the achievement indicators. The difficulty of the knowledge test questions with a score of 5 regarding the command shows the structure of the text of the exposition of the thesis section, while the difficulty of the skill questions with a score of 70 is in the rules of the reference word language. The results of a very good response during the learning process showed a percentage of 83%. Judging from student learning outcomes and student response results, the methods and media used can motivate students in online learning to write exposition text.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing corruption in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the punishment applied is still not effective, so additional social punishment is needed in the mass media. The purpose of this study is to examine the various meanings and constructors that give rise to dysphemism in the online mass media Okezone.com. This study uses a descriptive semantic approach to 30 reports related to corruption. Based on the results of the analysis found 21 words and 51 phrases that can be categorized as dysphemism. This dysphemism can be seen in the limitation of views, marginalization, classification, cynicism, and sarcasm used to create a bad image for corruption and corruptors. Meanwhile, from a semantic perspective, at least four categorizations of meaning are found, namely denotative which is used for the purpose of describing corruption with its true meaning. The connotative meaning is used to include negative sense values. The meaning of the metaphor is used to compare corruption and corruptors with negative things. The meaning of euphemism is associated with corruption which has a negative image.

Abstract

This study discussed directive speech (direct speech) in student conversations in the form of suggestions, requests, and orders. Direct speech is classified as productive in daily activities, so it is possible to find the use of maxims that are violated by students. This study also describes the form of politeness usage and the use of politeness principle maxims in students' direct speech. To describe and explain this, a qualitative descriptive research method was used, so that the forms and violations of maxims in the speech practices of the students were clearly explained. The results of the study show that the interaction between students in using directive utterances shows the use of the principle of the maxim of discretion; generosity/generosity; award; simplicity/humility; agreement; and sympathy. All the principles of politeness arise because of a combination of educational patterns in the family, community, and campus environment. AbstrakDalam penelitian ini dibahas terkait tuturan direktif (tuturan langsung) pada percakapan mahasiswa berupa saran, permintaan, dan perintah. Tuturan langsung tergolong produktif dalam aktivitas sehari-hari, sehingga memungkinkan ditemukan penggunaan maksim yang dilanggar oleh mahasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini juga dideskripsikan bentuk pemakaian kesantunan serta penggunaan maksim prinsip kesantunan pada tuturan langsung para mahasiswa. Untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan hal tersebut digunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, sehingga dipaparkan dengan jelas bentuk dan pelanggaran maksim dalam praktik tuturan para mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan interaksi antar-mahasiswa dalam  menggunakan tuturan direktif menunjukkan pemakaian prinsip maksim kebijaksanaan; kedermawanan/kemurahan hati; penghargaan; kesederhanaan/kerendahan hati; permufakatan; dan kesimpatian. Semua prinsip kesantunan muncul karena gabungan pola pendidikan di keluarga, masyarakat, dan lingkungan kampus.

Abstract

In the 21st century, it encorages teachers and students to be able to keep up with the times. The 4C skills needed in the 21st century include critical thinking, communication, creative thinking, and collaboration. Process of learning Indonesian there is often a lack of interaction between students and teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the discovery learning method in collaboration with the 4C skills so that the learning process is more impactful and enjoyable. This study aims to determine the response of class X-5 students of SMAN 1 Ngamprah in learning exposition text using discovery learning method. The method used is descriptive qualitative method, the instrument used is a questionnaire in the form of a list of statements addressed to class X-5 students of SMAN 1 Ngamprah. The results of the study concluded that the interest of students in class X-5 with the application of discovery learning method in learning exposition texts was around 93.1% interested and 78% agreed that the discovery learning method in learning exposition texts was effective to be applied to students in class X-5 at SMAN 1 Ngamprah.Keywords:        discovery learning; exposition texts; SMAN 1 Ngamprah

Abstract

Kurangnya motivasi belajar dan minat siswa mengenai pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah MTs Nurul Hidayah menjadi latar belakang utama dilaksanakannya penelitian ini, hasil tersebut diketahui dari pandangan guru bahasa Indonesia dan hasil belajar siswa yang kurang memuaskan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif penerapan metode pembelajaan Problem Based Learning berbasis aplikasi Canva pada materi teks iklan di kelas VIII MTs Nurul Hidayah dan mengetahui perkembangan hasil menulis siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti memilih metode penelitian deskriptip kualitatif untuk mengetahui hasil menulis pada materi teks iklan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis aplikasi canva pada materi teks iklan. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini diikuti 20 siswa dari kelas VIII B MTs Nurul Hidayah, penggunaan model pembelajaran problem based learning pada materi teks iklan memperoleh hasil yang efektif, hasil menulis teks iklan peserta didik memperoleh nilai rata-rata 85,3 dengan nilai tertinggi 100, menengah 84 dan terendah 79.
