Abstract

The increasing quality of Islamic educational institutions is strongly influenced by the leadership style applied by those who serve as leaders. Leaders of Islamic educational institutions can use the special characteristics of Islamic leadership in carrying out their responsibilities. The main responsibility for improving the quality of education lies with the leadership of educational institutions. This study aims to apply leadership to improve the quality of Islamic education in Islamic boarding schools. This research covers the types of leadership, the role of leadership in improving the quality of Islamic education, the way leadership is applied by the head of the boarding school, the leadership process, and how leadership is applied to improve the quality of Islamic education in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student activity in Islamic Religious Education and Character learning at SMPN 1 Salimpaung, which is still dominated by conventional methods, so that students are less enthusiastic, passive, and have difficulty understanding the material. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) method assisted by Puzzle media on increasing student activity. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a posttest-only nonequivalent groups design. The study population was all 32 seventh-grade students of SMPN 1 Salimpaung who were sampled using a total sampling technique. Class VII.1 was designated as the control class and VII.2 as the experimental class. Data were collected through questionnaires and observation sheets, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity, and t-tests. The results showed that the average student activity in the experimental class was higher than in the control class, both from the questionnaire results (79 compared to 67) and observations (78 compared to 55). The t-test at a significance level of 0.05 yielded a significance value of 0.000 with t count = -7.627 < t table = -2.042, so H1 was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the TGT method assisted by Puzzle media is effective in increasing student activity in Islamic Religious Education and Character learning, especially in the oral, writing, motor, mental, and emotional aspects.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has the potential to increase academic pressure, reduce learning focus, and reduce humanistic interactions between teachers and students at the high school level. This study aims to examine the integration of mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning approaches in realizing humanistic learning in the digital era at the senior high school level. The study used a qualitative method with a case study approach implemented in one high school. Data were collected through observations of the learning process, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation studies. In addition, a literature review was used to strengthen the analysis of the concepts and implementation of the three learning approaches. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the integration of mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning can improve learning focus, student engagement, relate the material to real life, and create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere. The humanistic learning that is formed is characterized by increased respect for students' voices, reflective abilities, and the development of critical and creative thinking patterns in the learning process. | (Versi en lama): Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi pendekatan mindful learning, meaningful learning, dan joyful learning dalam mewujudkan pembelajaran humanis di era digital pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital, khususnya kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan media sosial, siswa SMA kerap mengalami tekanan akademik hingga burnout yang berdampak negatif terhadap proses belajar mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di satu SMA, didukung kajian literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ketiga pendekatan tersebut mampu meningkatkan fokus belajar siswa, menghubungkan materi dengan kehidupan nyata, menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, serta menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek utama dalam proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran humanis yang terwujud melalui integrasi ini ditandai dengan tumbuhnya penghargaan terhadap suara dan perspektif siswa, sikap reflektif, serta orientasi pada proses berpikir secara kritis dan kreatif.
