Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by blood sugar levels that exceed normal limits (hyperglycemia). Knowledge is a very important factor in the actions of people with diabetes mellitus, behavior that is based on knowledge will be easier to implement than that which is not based on knowledge. The aim of this screening and counseling is to increase knowledge about diabetes in the surrounding community so that people know how important it is to maintain health. The methods used in this activity are action research methods and participatory activity programs with the community. The results of outreach activities about diabetes mellitus to residents in RT 2 Batu Urip Village were that the average pre-test knowledge of residents about diabetes mellitus before being given counseling was 60% in the poor category. Then the average post-test knowledge of residents after counseling on diabetes mellitus was 60% in the good category. From the results of the community service carried out, it can be concluded that there are still many people who do not realize the importance of maintaining lifestyle and habits to avoid diabetes and carrying out health laboratory examinations at the nearest health center so that many people still suffer from diabetes.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain frequently experienced by adolescent girls and impacts concentration, school attendance, and quality of life. One psychological factor contributing to dysmenorrhea is stress levels. Stress can affect reproductive hormone balance, thereby worsening menstrual pain. This study aimed to determine the relationship between stress levels and dysmenorrhea among adolescent girls at SMAN 1 Bengkulu City in 2025. This study used quantitative analytical methods with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 80 respondents, all female adolescents in grades 10 and 11 at SMAN 1 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods using the Chi-Square test.. The results showed that almost all respondents experienced moderate stress (37.5%) and moderate dysmenorrhea (36.3%). The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a p-value (0.022) smaller than the ∝ value (0.05), so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that statistically there is a significant relationship between stress levels and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls at DMAN 1 Bengkulu City in 2025.. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that schools and health workers provide education on stress management and reproductive health as an effort to prevent and treat dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls.

In this design, measurements are carried out twice, namely before being given treatment (pretest) and after being given treatment (posttest) prenatal yoga on the same group of subjects, so that changes can be known before and after the intervention. The results showed that before doing prenatal yoga movements, most respondents (60.0%) experienced moderate anxiety and almost half of respondents (40.0%) experienced severe anxiety. After doing prenatal yoga movements, most respondents (70.0%) experienced mild anxiety, almost half of respondents (40.0%) experienced moderate anxiety and a small portion of respondents (20.0%) experienced severe anxiety. With the results of the normality test ρ = 0.000 (ρ

Abstract

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) (2025), maternal health disorders remain a global problem, with a maternal mortality ratio of 197 per 100,000 live births influenced by physical and psychological conditions during pregnancy. Sleep disorders are a common complaint among pregnant women and can affect the health of both mother and foetus. Data from the Bengkulu City Health Office in 2024 shows that there were 428 pregnant women in the working area of the Sawah Lebar Community Health Centre. This study aims to determine the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and their sleep quality while doing pregnancy exercises in the working area of the Sawah Lebar Community Health Centre in Bengkulu City in 2025.This study uses a correlational analytical method with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires administered to 45 pregnant women using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test (p-value < 0.05).The results showed that most respondents had good knowledge (60%), supportive attitudes towards pregnancy exercises (66.7%), and good sleep quality (68.9%). Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between pregnant women's knowledge and sleep quality during pregnancy exercise (p-value = 0.000), while pregnant women's attitudes did not show a significant relationship (p-value = 0.000).This study shows that pregnant women's knowledge and attitudes are significantly related to sleep quality during pregnancy exercise. The results of this study are expected to serve as a basis for improving pregnancy exercise education by health workers and as a reference for further research.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia remains a serious health issue. According to the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI), the MMR reached 189 per 100,000 live births. One important effort to reduce the MMR is through regular Antenatal Care (ANC) checkups. However, the national coverage of complete ANC visits (K6) has only reached 80.47%, still below the 100% target. The regularity of ANC visits is influenced by various factors, one of which is the level of knowledge of pregnant women. This study aims to determine a correlation between the knowledge of pregnant women and the regularity of Antenatal Care (ANC) visits in third trimester pregnant women in the Working Area of Telaga Dewa Health Center, Bengkulu City, in 2025. This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 60 third trimester pregnant women selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through knowledge questionnaires and maternal and child health (MCH) books to assess regularity of ANC visits. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that 65.0% of respondents had good knowledge and 66.7% attended ANC visits regularly. Statistical tests showed a p-value of 0.004 (p < 0.05) with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 5.16. This indicates a significant correlation between the knowledge of pregnant women and the regularity of ANC visits. This study concluded that there is a significant correlation between pregnant women's knowledge and the regularity of ANC visits, so that increasing pregnant women's knowledge plays an important role in increasing the regularity of ANC visits and supporting efforts to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate.

Abstract

Gout arthritis is a disease characterized by elevated blood uric acid levels exceeding normal limits, which then triggers the deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints. A recent analysis of the 2019 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) data shows that approximately 1.71 billion people worldwide live with musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis (18 million people; 2.4 million YLDs) and gout (54 million people; 1.7 million YLDs). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of moringa leaf compresses on reducing gout arthritis pain in the elderly in the Jembatan Kecil Community Health Center (Puskesmas) work area in Bengkulu City in 2026. The research method used was a quasi-experimental study using a one-group pretest-posttest. Purposive sampling was used, with a sample size of 15 participants. Univariate analysis showed that before the intervention, the majority of respondents (66.7%) had moderate pain, while after the intervention, the majority of respondents (60%) had mild pain. The results of the bivariate analysis of the Wilcoxon test showed the effect of moringa leaf compresses on reducing gout arthritis pain in the elderly with p=0.001. There was an effect of moringa leaf compresses on reducing gout arthritis pain in the elderly in the Jembatan Kecil Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area, Bengkulu City, in 2026. The researchers recommend that Puskesmas develop and implement non-pharmacological therapies, such as moringa leaf compresses, as part of their gout arthritis pain management efforts in the elderly.
