The low quality and deviant attitudes of educators have led to a decline in the quality of education in Indonesia. Educators, in fact, play a crucial role in building an advanced and high-quality nation. Abstract

This study explores how an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum design can help prepare graduates for the workforce. A qualitative approach is used to gain an in-depth understanding of how OBE principles are implemented in higher education and how they contribute to enhancing graduates' competencies in line with industry needs. Data for this study were obtained through a literature review and interviews with academics and education practitioners to identify key factors in developing an OBE-based curriculum. The findings indicate that OBE emphasizes the achievement of measurable learning outcomes that are relevant to the job market through the formulation of clear learning objectives, the use of teaching methods focused on skill development, and outcome-based assessments that evaluate graduates' readiness. By implementing an OBE-based curriculum, educational institutions can more effectively equip students with the skills and knowledge required by industry demands, thereby increasing their chances of securing jobs that align with their expertise.

Abstract

Learning theory is an important foundation in the process of education and effective learning. The two main theories that play a role in it are humanistic and constructivist learning theories. However, in reality, there are still many educators in the learning process in the classroom who use methods that tend to only focus on reward and punishment and there is also no active involvement of students. So that the impact on the cognitive development of students becomes slow. The aims of this study: 1) to analyze humanistic learning theory, 2) to analyze constructivist learning theory, 3) to analyze humanistic and constructivist learning theory in an Islamic perspective. The literature review was used by researchers in this study using documentary techniques as data analysis techniques. The results of the study explain that in the learning process the methods used by educators must be varied, so as to help students develop their knowledge and focus on humanizing students so that students do not only receive rewards or punishments.

Abstract

This study stems from concerns that the role of student organizations, particularly the Student Executive Board (BEM), is often perceived as limited to non-academic activities, when in fact it can serve as a driving force for learning motivation. This study aims to understand how the BEM at Darunnajah University acts not only as a forum for student activities, but also as a catalyst that fosters academic enthusiasm while honing leadership and personal development skills. This study uses a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with student affairs staff, BEM administrators, and active students. Interestingly, the analysis results produced four interrelated themes. First, BEM functions as a catalyst for learning motivation through academic programs such as seminars, workshops, scientific discussions, and writing competitions, which have been proven to foster students' confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Second, the program design strategy has proven to be adaptive because it is based on needs surveys, aspiration forums, and faculty collaboration, so that the program is not merely ceremonial. Third, institutional support in the form of funding, facilities, and faculty guidance is an important pillar, although challenges such as conflicting class schedules, low participation, and leadership regeneration issues remain obstacles. Fourth, involvement in BEM has a broad impact, ranging from strengthening learning motivation to improving soft skills, time management, and readiness for the world of work. Thus, this study confirms that student organizations can be viewed as laboratories for Islamic leadership that integrate academic, social, and spiritual aspects. The implication is that universities need to strengthen institutional support and encourage broader student involvement. In the future, similar studies should focus on external collaboration models so that BEM's contribution to student motivation and career development can be optimized.
