Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is a new curriculum launched by the Ministry of Education as an effort to restore learning from 2022 to 2024. The Merdeka Curriculum encourages the implementation of project-based, problem-based learning methods and other methods that support children to freely explore. The objectives of this research are 1) to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in class VII science learning at SMP Negeri 4 Jember. 2) to know the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at SMP Negeri 4 Jember. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The research was carried out from March to May 2023 with research subjects including Head of Curriculum, Science Teachers and Class VII students. Next, the data is analyzed and tested for credibility. The results of the research can be concluded that, 1) The Merdeka Curriculum is implemented in stages starting from class VII. In science learning, teachers use the Problem Based Learning model and differentiated learning. 2) supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum include adequate facilities and infrastructure, the willingness of science teachers to learn about the Merdeka Curriculum, lack of references, little experience, and the unavailability of school gardens.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat validitas dan respon dari peserta didik atas alat peraga 3D berbahan bekas khususnya materi sel hewan maupun tumbuhan di MTs Zainul Hasan Balung Jember. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE, dengan melakukan tahapan analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate. Data pada tahap develop ini berasal dari ahli materi, ahli media, praktisi dan peserta didik dengan beberapa instrumen seperti lembar validasi materi, lembar validasi media dan angket respon peserta didik. Selanjutnya, data tersebut dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Proses validasi ini dilakukan oleh dua orang dosen IPA UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember dengan kualifikasi khusus dan seorang praktisi, yakni seorang guru yang mengampu mata pelajaran IPA di MTs Zainul Hasan. Untuk mendapatkan tingkat keterbacaan alat peraga tersebut, respon dari peserta didik menjadi parameter yang peneliti kumpulkan melalui angket. Kemudian, hasil validasi termasuk kategori sangat valid sehingga alat peraga 3D dapat dipergunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Buktinya adalah rerata nilai validasi dari ahli materi dan praktisi sebesar 93% dan dari ahli media sebesar 96%. Begitupun, rerata nilai yang diberikan oleh peserta didik dalam responnya terhadap alat peraga 3D menunjukkan angka 87% dalam penilaian skala kecil dan angka 95% dalam penilaian skala besar. Ini berarti bahwa keterbacaannya termasuk kategori sangat menarik.

Abstract

Education is able to affect the level of the community's economy. Linier with the low level of public education, the knowledge and skills of the community are also low and then the income they obtain tends to be low. Most of the PKH participants in Tegalwangi village are elementary school graduates and work as farm laborers. They tends to think that to send their children to higher education requires a lot of money. It is not surprising that they are apathetic to support their children to get the highest possible education. Therefore, it is necessary to provide counseling in order to give understanding and motivation to them that obtaining education to the highest level can be achieved with scholarships and the many benefits obtained when children they are highly educated, one of which is to improve the family's economy. Counseling is done by lecture and dialogue methods. Counseling is carried out in groups consisting of 10 groups with each group consisting of 20 people and counseling is delivered in turns. The activity was carried out with full enthusiasm from the participants as evidenced by the many questions they asked. From here they can finally understand that higher education is not as expensive as they think and they also understand how important education is in improving the family's economy. Pendidikan dapat mempengaruhi tingkat perekonomian masyarakat. Linier dengan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat, ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat juga rendah sehingga ini berimplikasi pada ragam pekerjaan yang dapat dilakukan cenderung kasar dan berpenghasilan rendah. Sebagian besar peserta PKH desa Tegalwangi itu adalah lulusan SD dan bekerja sebagai buruh tani. Mereka cenderung berpikir bahwa untuk menyekolahkan anak hingga Perguruan Tinggi membutuhkan banyak biaya. Tidak heran jika mereka apatis untuk mendukung anak-anak mereka mengenyam pendidikan setinggi mungkin. Oleh karenanya perlu memberikan penyuluhan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan motivasi kepada mereka bahwa mengenyam pendidikan hingga tingkatan tertinggi dapat diraih dengan beasiswa serta banyaknya manfaat yang diperoleh ketika anak-anak mereka berpendidikan tinggi salah satunya adalah dapat meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan Tanya jawab. Penyuluhan dilakukan secara berkelompok yang terdiri dari 10 kelompok dengan masing-masing kelompok beranggotakan 20 orang dan penyuluhan disampaikan secara bergiliran. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan antusias penuh dari peserta dibuktikan dengan banyaknya pertanyaan yang dilontarkan mereka. Dari sini mereka akhirnya dapat memahami bahwa pendidikan tinggi tidak semahal yang mereka pikirkan dan merekapun paham betapa pentingnya pendidikan dalam meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga.

Abstract

Populasi ternak sapi di desa Kesilir memiliki potensi yang sangat besar. Dalam hal ini sapi menghasilkan limbah kotoran yang sebenarnya bermanfaat bagi masyarakat petani desa Kesilir, namun belum terfikirkan oleh masyarakat. Padahal kotoran sapi berpotensi sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan pupuk organik, yang dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk mengurangi ketergantungan masyarakat dalam penggunaan pupuk kimia di bidang pertanian. Oleh karena itu, pembuatan pupuk organik perlu terus disosialisasikan kepada masyarakat khususnya petani di pedesaan yang kekurangan informasi dan teknologi. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah, 1) untuk melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang manfaat dan bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan dalam pembuatan pupuk organik, 2) untuk melakukan pelatihan kepada warga desa Kesilir dalam melakukan proses pembuatan pupuk organik dari kotoran sapi. Program pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), yang diawali dengan menggali potensi yang ada di desa untuk kemudian dikembangkan, yaitu potensi banyaknya peternak sapi beserta kotorannya dan luasnya lahan pertanian. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan memberikan pemahaman mengenai manfaat pupuk organik melalui pelatihan serta praktik pembuatannya sehingga bisa lebih mudah untuk diterapkan oleh warga. Hasil pengabdian ini antara lain masyarakat mengetahui dan faham tentang manfaat pupuk organik pada lahan pertanian, diantaranya dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia, dan dapat meningkatkan unsur hara dalam tanah. Warga akhirnya juga mengerti bahwa pembuatan pupuk organik dari kotoran sapi membutuhkan bahan tambahan berupa sekam, molase, Em4, dan air. Adapun warga yang mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik ini adalah warga yang tergabung dalam kelompok-kelompok petani di desa Kesilir. Pelatihan ini dilakukan sebagai inisiasi kepada warga dalam pembuatan pupuk organic, merekapun antusias dalam melaksanakan pelatihan. In this case, cows produce manure waste which is actually beneficial for the farming community in Kesilir village, but which the community has not yet thought about. In fact, cow dung has the potential to be a basic ingredient for making organic fertilizer, which can be an alternative to reduce people's dependence on the use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture. Therefore, organic fertilizer production needs to continue to be socialized to the public, especially farmers in rural areas who lack information and technology. The purpose of this community service is, 1) to provide outreach to the community about the benefits and materials needed to make organic fertilizer, 2) to provide training to Kesilir village residents in carrying out the process of making organic fertilizer from cow dung. This service program is carried out using the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method, which begins by exploring the potential that exists in the village to then be developed, namely the potential for the large number of cattle breeders and their dung and the size of agricultural land. Development is carried out by providing an understanding of the benefits of organic fertilizer through training and practice in making it so that it can be easier for residents to apply. The results of this service include the community knowing and understanding the benefits of organic fertilizer on agricultural land, including reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and increasing nutrients in the soil. Residents finally understood that making organic fertilizer from cow dung requires additional materials in the form of husks, molasses, Em4 and water. The residents who took part in the training in making organic fertilizer were residents who were members of farmer groups in Kesilir village. This training was carried out as an initiation for residents in making organic fertilizer, they were enthusiastic in carrying out the training. Abstract

Research this aiming for develop and describe validity as well as practicality of learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 in the material classification creature life with approach scientific at Junior High School 2 Panti. Research using the 4D development model to stage distribution limited. Products validated by experts materials, media, language, and practitioners, then tested its practicality through trial scale small (10 students) class VIII) and scale large (32 students) class VII). The validation results show a very high level of validity with average scores from each validator: subject matter experts scored 95.31%, media experts scored 96.25%, language experts scored 100%, and practitioners scored 100%. Furthermore, the practicality test results showed a score of 88.75% in the small-scale test and 91.07% in the large-scale test, which falls into the “very practical” category. With thus, the learning media developed stated to be very valid and practical for used in science learning.
