Abstract

Improving thestudents’ critical thingking attitude by using an inquiry-based students’ worksheet becomes the research objective by using 4D model development research design from Thiagarajan. The worksheet is validated by the expert andthe science teacher, and then it’s practically tested to thejunior high school students of class VIII. The validation resultsshow that the worksheet is categorized sufficiently valid. So even also with the results ofpractical test indicating that the worksheet is effectively used on learning process because of improving the students’ critical thingking attitude.Keywords: critical thinking attitude, inquiry-based worksheet, inquiry method.

Abstract

The development of information technology has influenced the use of various types of media as a tool in the learning process. Based on the observation of biology learning process,it is explained that many students who didn’t do the homework and follow the biology lesson while learning process run in the classroom which difficult to learn biology and the language within it difficult to understand were the reason of them, that way the average of student learning outcomes are still low below the standards of KKM values. So researchers used Macromedia flash application as an interactive media to improve the student learning outcomes. This research used Classroom Action Research with data obtained using quantitative data derived from the test of learning outcomes and qualitative data obtained from classroom teacher interviews, document archives and student questionnaires. This research used the purposive technique with the respondent in 22 students. Based on the results of the students' assessment on cycle 1 and cycle 2 decided the grade average increased from 75 to 84.2 %,meanwhile the completion of classical learning increased from 81% to 100% and the result of classical student percentage analysis has 68% with good enough criteria. Based on both of comparison can be concluded that macromedia flash can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Educations  is very important  to make a good or bad  of  individual innormative. Learn is a work or activites that apose to turn persons, also in turning behavior, attitudes, traditions, knowledges, and skill. This research attempts to increasing the activity of student learning to learn the matter of moving system  in plants on the Inquiry model. Type of research is use classroom actions research (CAR). The procedure use a cycle model, based on the result of research data showed 43,2% of student learning activity on the first cycle and 86% on the second cycle. While in the learning outcomes of students on the first cycle showed 46% and 81% on the second cycle. This case proves that the activity and learning outcomes of students can  increase by Inquiry model, make students think and  be active in the process of intelectual activity and learning experiences is something meaningfull in real life, tested by experimenting to answer questions that real, conclude hypotesis and conclusions.Keywords: Model  Inquiry Learning, Learning Activity

Abstract

The research aims to test the validity of attitude evaluation instrument in order to measure the students’ learning attitude in line with their positive respons to science instructionalbased on Discovery Learning Model. The type of the develpment research uses Thiagarajan 4D model development research design. The attitude evaluation instruments are validated by the theoritical expert and science teacher as the practical expert before being used experimentally to class VIIAstudents of Al – Maufijunior high school Tempurejo, Jember regency. The validation results of the attitude evaluation instruments developed have 3,58 score or categoried sufficenty valid and effective used to instructional process to arise curiosity, honesty, diligent, and critical attitudes. The effectivity of the instruments is proven by the students’ positive respons score up to 90, 63%.Keywords: evaluation instrument, attitude, Discovery Learning Method.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to increase student learning motivation through the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by audio-visual media on material about the human digestive system at SMP Plus Darus Sholah. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 21 students in class VIII H of SMP Plus Darus Sholah. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive statistics to analyze questionnaire data. The research results show that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model through the stages of stimulation, problem formulation, data collection, data analysis, verification and generalization can increase students' learning motivation. Apart from that, increasing learning motivation can also improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' difficulties in understanding the material in depth so that students tend to be passive when learning and this affects their learning outcomes. The PBL model is an appropriate learning model for students to develop their knowledge and be actively involved in learning. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of applying the PBL model on students' critical thinking competence in class VII global warming material at MTsN 2 Jember. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Research data was obtained using an observation sheet instrument to measure critical thinking competence. The research results have been tested using the independent samples t-test statistical test, obtaining a significance value of 0.000 for critical thinking competence, so it was decided that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the PBL model on students' critical thinking competence in global warming material in class VII MTsN 2 Jember.

Abstract

Pandemi Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) menyebabkan proses pembelajaran tatap  muka di sekolah dialihkan menjadi proses pembelajaran secara daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi guru IPA SMP/MTs yang ada di kabupaten Jember terhadap praktikum IPA selama pandemi COVID-19. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebar angket berupa google form melalui media WhatsApp (WA) kepada 24 guru IPA SMP/MTs yang tersebar di kabupaten Jember dengan metode cluster sampling mulai bulan April sampai Mei tahun 2020. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan mocrosoft excel 2007. Hasil survey menunjukkan bahwa 29% guru menyatakan siap melaksanakan praktikum secara daring, 38% menyatakan kurang siap dan 33% menyatakan tidak siap melaksanakan praktikum secara daring. Tingkat kesiapan tersebut berpengaruh terhadap keterlaksanaan kegiatan praktikum. Hasil survey menunjukkan bahwa guru yang menyatakan praktikum secara dapat terlaksana sebesar 33 %, selebihnya 67% menyatakan praktikum secara daring tidak dapat dilaksanakan. Fenomena tersebut terjadi karena terdapat kendala-kendala baik kendala yang berasal dari guru sendiri ataupun kendala yang berasal dari siswa dan orangtua siswa.

Abstract

Tanaman jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) memiliki banyak manfaat, salah satunya dapat digunakan sebagai obat tradisional untuk mengobati penyakit kuku dan mulut (PMK) pada sapi. Petani sekaligus peternak sapi di Kecamatan Kota Anyar Kabupaten Probolinggo memanfaatkan tanaman ini sebagai obat PMK, namun jumlah tanaman jarak pagar di desa tersebut sangat rendah sehingga perlu diupayakan budidaya tanaman jarak pagar sebagai bahan baku pembuatan obat PMK. Pendampingan masyarakat dilakukan dengan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang meliputi lima tahapan yaitu tahap to know, to understand, to plan, to act dan to change. Subjek pengabdian adalah petani sekaligus peternak sapi di Kecamatan Kota Anyar berjumlah 20 orang yang berasal dari 7 desa dan mewakili populasi petani di Kecamatan tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil pendampingan masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan budidaya tanaman jarak pagar yang dilakukan telah berhasil membuat 300 bibit tanaman jarak pagar sehingga dapat meningkatkan jumlah tanaman jarak pagar di Kota Anyar Probolinggo. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model on the holistic learning outcomes of seventh-grade students in the plant classification topic at SMP Asy-Syarifiy IEBS Lumajang. The PJBL model was implemented through a herbarium-making project designed to enhance students’ active engagement in learning and to develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills in a balanced manner. This research employed a quantitative approach with a post-test only control group design. The results indicate that the implementation of PJBL has a significant effect on students’ holistic learning outcomes compared to conventional teaching methods. Through participation in real-life projects, students demonstrated improved understanding of plant classification concepts, teamwork skills, and the expression of values and attitudes toward the environment. Therefore, PJBL has been proven effective in supporting comprehensive and contextual learning achievements.
