Abstract

This study aims to identify the forms of market risk and analyze market risk mitigation efforts in gold installment financing at Bank Syariah Indonesia's Adam Malik Branch Office in Bengkulu City. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data sources consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observations of pawning officers and customers using gold installment products, while secondary data were obtained from official bank documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and relevant literature. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, referring to the ISO 31000:2018 risk management framework. The results indicate that the primary market risk stems from gold price fluctuations, which impact the value of collateral and potentially lead to losses for the bank. Risk mitigation efforts include customer eligibility analysis, setting appropriate margins, regular gold price monitoring, and ongoing financing oversight. The implementation of ISO 31000:2018-based risk management helps the bank manage risk systematically and structuredly, resulting in safer and more stable financing. This research is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic banking risk management, especially in gold installment financing products.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of influencers, financial technology, and financial planning on the investment decisions of young investors in the Islamic capital market, both partially and simultaneously. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The population of this study consists of sharia stock investors registered with KISI Securities at STIA Bengkulu, with a sample of 50 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 18. The results show that, partially, influencers do not have a positive and significant effect on the investment decisions of young investors in the Islamic capital market. Meanwhile, financial technology and financial planning have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. Simultaneously, influencers, financial technology, and financial planning have a significant effect on investment decisions. This study indicates that the investment decisions of young investors are more influenced by technological factors and financial planning capabilities rather than social influence from influencers. Abstract

Abstract: The development of financing and deposits in Islamic banking is an important indicator in assessing the intermediation function and the level of public trust in Islamic financial institutions. However, research on financing and deposit trends at Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) in the regions is still relatively limited, particularly at Bank Maslahat Dana Syariah Nusantara in Bengkulu City. This study aims to analyze the financing and deposit trends at Bank Maslahat Dana Syariah Nusantara in Bengkulu City for the period 2020-2024 and the factors influencing them. The study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation with informants consisting of internal bank officials and customers. Data analysis was conducted by describing the development of financing and deposits each year, then interpreting the direction of the trends and the factors influencing these changes. The results show that financing experienced an increasing trend from 9,877 million rupiah in 2020 to 20,294 million rupiah in 2024, with financing dominating the MSME productive sector. Deposits also increased from 10,432 million rupiah to 18,837 million rupiah during the same period. This increase indicates that the bank's intermediation function is functioning quite well and that public trust in Islamic banks is growing. Factors influencing this trend include service quality, product suitability, implementation of Islamic principles, contract transparency, community economic conditions, and customer trust. This research is expected to serve as a reference for developing Islamic banking intermediation strategies in the regions.kata kunci: islamic banks, intermediation function, financing trends, deposit trends
