Abstract

Internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam moderat, seperti tawassuth (sikap moderat) dan tasamuh (toleransi), merupakan kebutuhan mendesak di tengah tantangan keberagaman dan meningkatnya radikalisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses internalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut di SMP Modern Al-Miftah, sebuah lembaga pendidikan berbasis Islam yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai moderasi dalam pembelajaran dan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap siswa, guru, dan staf sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai-nilai tawassuth dan tasamuh dilakukan melalui pembelajaran berbasis keteladanan, diskusi kelompok, dan pengalaman langsung dalam lingkungan yang mendukung. Nilai-nilai ini tidak hanya diajarkan secara teoritis, tetapi juga diterapkan dalam interaksi sosial siswa, seperti kerja kelompok dan penyelesaian konflik. Pendekatan tersebut berhasil menciptakan budaya saling menghormati, memperkuat keharmonisan, dan membangun karakter siswa yang toleran dan adil. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa proses internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam moderat membutuhkan penguatan peran guru, pengembangan kurikulum berbasis moderasi, dan penciptaan lingkungan yang mendukung. Dengan implementasi yang konsisten, SMP Modern Al-Miftah dapat menjadi model ideal dalam membangun generasi yang moderat, toleran, dan siap menghadapi keberagaman. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan evaluasi berkelanjutan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dampak positif dari internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam moderat dalam pembentukan karakter siswa.

Abstract

This study analyzes the concept and wisdom of dhikr based on the interpretation of the book Mafātīḥ al-Ghayb by Fakhruddin ar-Razi and Tafsir al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. The purpose of this study is to understand the depth of the meaning and function of dhikr through an interdisciplinary tafsir approach, and to identify its relevance in a modern spiritual and psychological context. The research method used is comparative tafsir (muqaran) to compare the two tafsirs, as well as an interdisciplinary tafsir approach that integrates disciplines such as Sufism and psychology. This study found that dhikr has an important role in growing faith (QS. Al-Anfal: 2), making the heart tremble when the name of Allah is mentioned, and as the main means of achieving peace of mind (QS. Ar-Ra'd: 28). In addition, Allah will remember His servants who do dhikr (QS. Al-Baqarah: 152). In the Qur'an, dhikr is not only interpreted as repeated utterances, but also as an awareness of God's presence in all aspects of life. Dhikr has broad dimensions, covering spiritual, psychological, and social aspects. Sufis view dhikr as a means to achieve ma'rifatullah (knowing Allah), while commentators interpret it as the instructions of the Qur'an that contain wisdom in forming the character of believers. In Sufism, dhikr is classified into three levels: oral, heart, and sir, which indicate spiritual depth in getting closer to Allah. From a psychological perspective, the practice of dhikr has been shown to have a significant positive impact on mental health, reducing stress, anxiety, and increasing emotional stability. This study concludes that dhikr is a multidimensional practice that is essential for the spiritual and psychological life of Muslims, and is a main pillar in achieving closeness to Allah swt. and peace of mind.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of moderate Islamic character education presented in Akhlaq Ar-Rasul Shollallahu Alaihi Wa Sallama Lil Athfal by Sheikh Mahmud Al-Mishri and explores its relevance for shaping the moral character of young people in the digital era. Using library research and a descriptive qualitative approach, the study analyzes the core values of moral moderation emphasized by Al-Mishri. The findings reveal that the principles of tawassuth (middle path), i‘tidāl (proportionality), and tawāzun (balance) serve as the foundation for developing well-balanced character traits such as trustworthiness, honesty, disciplined courage, patience, generosity, and social responsibility. These values are highly relevant for addressing moral decline among youth and for fostering a proportional religious understanding and constructive social behavior. The study underscores the importance of strengthening character education based on Islamic moderation to cultivate morally grounded and adaptive young generations capable of responding to contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic educational moderation from the perspective of Dr. KH. Afifuddin Dhimyati in Tafsir Hidayatul Qur’an and its implications for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research design. The primary source is Tafsir Hidayatul Qur’an fi Bayani Ma’ani Al-Qur’an, analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that Islamic educational moderation in Dr. KH. Afifuddin Dhimyati’s thought is constructed through the consistent application of the tafsir al-Qur’an bi al-Qur’an method. Moderation is understood as a proportional and balanced approach that harmonizes text and context without compromising fundamental Islamic principles. The key values include tawassuth (middle path), tawazun (balance), ‘adalah (justice), and tasamuh (tolerance). Its implications for Islamic education involve strengthening the integration of moderation values into the curriculum, reinforcing character formation through traditional learning methods, and developing an inclusive and contextual educational paradigm oriented toward the public good at both national and global levels

Abstract

Konsep nasikh–mansukh merupakan tema penting sekaligus kontroversial dalam kajian tafsir Al-Qur’an karena berkaitan dengan dinamika penetapan hukum Islam. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji konsep nasikh–mansukh dalam perspektif ulama klasik dan kontemporer serta menelaah urgensinya terhadap pola keberagamaan generasi Muslim masa kini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan dengan analisis isi terhadap karya-karya tafsir dan ulūm al-Qur’ān.Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa dalam tradisi klasik, nasikh–mansukh berfungsi sebagai instrumen metodologis pembentukan hukum secara bertahap, sedangkan dalam perspektif kontemporer dipahami sebagai penyesuaian penerapan hukum sesuai konteks sosial dan tujuan syariat. Pemahaman yang proporsional atas konsep ini penting untuk membangun sikap keberagamaan yang moderat dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Kodifikasi Al-Qur’an pada masa Khalifah Utsman ibn ‘Affan merupakan salah satu momen paling penting dalam sejarah Islam, namun sepanjang sejarahnya hal ini juga menjadi objek berbagai kontroversi. Penelitian ini mengkaji konteks historis mushaf Utsmani, perdebatan yang melibatkan sahabat-sahabat terkemuka seperti Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud, serta respons intelektual dari kalangan ulama klasik dan sarjana kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-historis dengan menganalisis sumber-sumber primer, literatur klasik Islam, serta kajian akademik modern guna memahami motivasi, proses, dan implikasi kodifikasi Al-Qur’an tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontroversi yang muncul terutama disebabkan oleh kesalahpahaman terhadap mushaf pribadi, perbedaan qirā’āt, serta perbedaan penafsiran historiografis, bukan karena adanya perubahan atau manipulasi terhadap teks Al-Qur’an. Para ulama klasik menegaskan bahwa kebijakan Utsman bertujuan untuk menjaga keutuhan teks dan persatuan umat Islam, sementara para sejarawan kontemporer menyoroti aspek kebutuhan administratif dan sosial yang melatarbelakangi keputusan tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Mushaf Utsmani merupakan pencapaian fundamental dalam menjaga keotentikan Al-Qur’an, serta bahwa diskursus intelektual seputar kodifikasi tersebut memperkaya pemahaman kita tentang sejarah Islam awal, transmisi teks, dan dinamika penafsiran keilmuan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept and educational approaches of moral education presented in Bidayatul Hidayah written by Abu Hamid Muhammad Al-Ghazali and examine its relevance to Islamic boarding school education in the modern era. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. The primary data source is Bidayatul Hidayah, while secondary sources include books, journal articles, and other relevant literature discussing moral education and Islamic boarding school systems. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify the core concepts and educational approaches embedded in the text. The findings reveal that the concept of moral education in Bidayatul Hidayah consists of three main dimensions: obedience to God, avoiding both outward and inward sins, and maintaining proper social ethics in human interactions. The educational approaches identified include religious-spiritual orientation, habituation, role modeling, and preventive–repressive methods. These concepts remain relevant for contemporary pesantren as they provide a strong moral framework for students facing modern challenges such as digitalization and moral degradation. When implemented adaptively, Al-Ghazali’s ideas can strengthen the role of pesantren in shaping morally upright and socially responsible generations

Abstract

Al-Qira’at is one of the key branches of Islamic knowledge that plays an essential role in comprehensively understanding the Qur'an. This study aims to historically examine the development of al-Qira’at or reading style and the role of Qurra’ who have been central figures in the transmission of the Qur'anic recitations. Employing a qualitative approach with a historical and descriptive-analytical methodology, this research analyzes both classical and contemporary literature on the science system of reading style. Unlike previous studies that primarily focused on the technical aspects of recitation, this research integrates historical, methodological, and educational dimensions, particularly in relation to contemporary Islamic education. The findings show that it began during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the concept of the seven ahruf, and was subsequently codified by the prominent Reciters imams under strict standards that include three criteria: alignment with the Uthmanic script, conformity with Arabic linguistic rules, and an authentic chain of transmission. The seven main imams of Reading style—Nafi', Ibn Kathir, Abu 'Amr, Ibn 'Amir, 'Ashim, Hamzah, and Al-Kisai—established a robust transmission tradition that persists to this day. This research underscores the significance of it not merely as a technical matter of recitation but as an intellectual heritage that must be preserved and developed within the framework of modern Islamic education, especially through its integration into the curricula of Islamic boarding school and Islamic universities. The significance of this research lies in its ability to bridge the historical depth of it with its practical application in contemporary Islamic pedagogical practices.
