Abstract

Religion is an important element in human life, because humans in their creation were intentionally limited in form, so they depend on the Almighty Unlimited. The West, as one of the great forms of human civilization, has experienced various phases of periodization with various upheavals of thought and action regarding religion. The early western period with philosophy as the main reference made religion something that was put aside, the middle period of the western dark ages became very radical in religion which was dominated by the church, while in the final period religion was again put aside with the growth of philosophical culture. Philosophical culture in western civilization, in the author's analysis of various sources, has actually produced various forms of thought and action in western society towards religion, the most important of which is secularism and the nihilization of the concept of God. Secularism is a form of effort to eliminate religion in the context of western civilization, in line with the development of thought with efforts to nihilize the concept of God and the scientific culture of western society. Agama menjadi salah satu unsur yang penting dalam kehidupan manusia, sebab manusia dalam penciptaannya memang disengaja dalam bentuk terbatas, sehingga tergantung kepada Dzat yang Maha tidak terbatas. Barat, sebagai salah satu wujud peradabaan besar umat manusia telah mengalami berbagai fase periodesasi dengan berbagai pergolakan pemikiran dan aksi terhadap agama. Periode awal barat dengan filsafat sebagai acuan utama menjadikan agama sebagai hal yang dikesampingkan, periode pertengahan abad kegelapan barat menjadi sangat radikal dalam beragama yang didominasi oleh gereja, sedangkan dalam periode akhir agama kembali dikesampingkan dengan tumbuh berkembangnya budaya filsafat. Budaya filsafat dalam peradaban barat, dalam penelahaan penulis dari berbagai sumber nyata-nyata telah menghasilkan berbagai bentuk pemikiran dan aksi masyarakat barat terhadap agama, yang paling utama adalah sekularisme dan nihilisasi konsep tuhan. Sekularisme yang merupakan bentuk upaya menghilangkan agama dalam konteks kehidupan peradaban barat, seiring sejalan dengan perkembangan pemikiran dengan upaya nihilisasi konsep Tuhan dan budaya keilmuan masyarakat barat.

Abstract

Sikap reiligus merupakan perilaku yang mencerminkan pada nilai-nilai yang bersumber pada kebenaran agama, sikap religius dapat tumbuh dan berkembang salah satunya melalui metode pembiasaan, penguatan pada tumbuh kembang sikap religius bagi anak salah satunya dapat dikembangkan di sekolah melalui kegiatan yang terprogramkan secara berkesinmbungan baik dalam kegiatan harian, mingguan maupun tahunan. SMA Dwiwarna (Baording School) sebagai salah satu sekolah umum yang bernafaskan nilai-nilai agama Islam membentuk pola kerja dan pola asuh yang salah satu unsur utamanyab menselaraskan pada penguatan sikap religius melalaui berbagai kegiatan yang terprogramkan, baik dalam kegiatan yang sifatnya secara langsung menunjang penguatan sikap religius pribadi yaitu ketaatan pada aturan Tuhan yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk ibadah, maupun sikap empati dan peduli sehingga membentuk sikap religius dalam hal kesalehan sosial.

Abstract

Attitudes and behaviors that do not accept differences can lead to intolerance in children, which is contrary to the core value of tolerance, which is acceptance and appreciation of differences. It is necessary to instill the value of tolerance so that tolerant attitudes continue to be maintained in children's attitudes and behaviors. One effort that can be made is through animated series, as children today are easily attracted to animated films due to their appealing visuals. This study examines the animated film Upin and Ipin by Moh Nizam Abdur Razak et al. This is a qualitative descriptive study using a literature review approach. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation and data analysis using content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that there are values of tolerance in the analysis of the characters in the animated film Upin and Ipin. These values of tolerance are accepting and respecting differences and can be categorized into religious tolerance and social tolerance. The attitude of tolerance, accepting and respecting differences, is an attitude that can be adopted and reflected by children in their daily lives through social interaction.

Abstract

Lifestyle changes and sedentary habits have led to increased health issues, including obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and cognitive decline. This study examines the impact of physical activity and sleep quality on physical fitness and cognitive intelligence among university students. A quantitative correlational design was applied to 60 students aged 19–21 years. Physical activity was assessed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), sleep quality with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), physical fitness through the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT), and cognitive intelligence via the Digit Span Test. Results showed that 58.33% of students engaged in moderate physical activity, and 80% had good sleep quality. Correlation analysis revealed significant relationships between physical activity and physical fitness (r = 0.571, p = 0.002), sleep quality and physical fitness (r = 0.735, p = 0.000), physical activity and cognitive intelligence (r = 0.520, p = 0.004), and sleep quality and cognitive intelligence (r = 0.674, p = 0.001). Regression analysis indicated that sleep quality contributed 33.2% to physical fitness and 28.7% to cognitive intelligence, while physical activity contributed 32.7% and 25.4%, respectively. These findings highlight the need to promote physical activity and sleep hygiene to enhance students’ health.

Abstract

Bullying in elementary schools has become a serious issue as it affects students’ social and emotional development. This community service focused on bullying prevention by enhancing students’ self-awareness and teachers’ empathetic communication skills. The objective was to build a healthy, safe school ecosystem that supports character development. The program was implemented at MI Ma’arif NU 1 Gunung Lurah using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving the school community actively. The strategy included socialization, self-analysis training for students, basic counseling training for teachers, and structured mentoring. The results showed that students were able to recognize themselves, express emotions, and commit to rejecting bullying, while teachers successfully applied empathetic communication and developed simple counseling modules. The impact of this program was evident in the creation of a reflective culture in the classroom through reflection corners, as well as improved openness in interactions between teachers and students.

Abstract

This study examines the Sufi values ​​contained in the story of the meeting of the Prophet Moses and the Prophet Khidr as immortalized in the Qur'an, Surah Al-Kahf, verses 65-82. Through a Sufi hermeneutic approach, this study analyzes the esoteric dimensions of the story, including the concept of fana' fi al-syaikh, etiquette in pursuing the spiritual path, and the transformation of consciousness through surrender to the guidance of a spiritual teacher. The method used is textual analysis with an interpretative-qualitative approach to the text of the Qur'an and classical Sufi interpretations. The results of the study show that this story contains fundamental Sufi values ​​in the form of: (1) the concept of seeking laduni knowledge as knowledge obtained directly from Allah, (2) the importance of adab and tawadhu' in the student-teacher relationship, (3) the meaning of spiritual patience (sabr) in facing inner trials, and (4) the transformation from rational knowledge ('aql) to intuitive knowledge (kashf). These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the Sufi dimension in the Qur'an and its relevance for the development of contemporary Islamic spirituality.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of strengthening tolerance in junior secondary schools as part of efforts to cultivate a generation capable of living harmoniously in a plural society. The research aims to analyze the strategies employed to strengthen tolerance at SMP Negeri 2 Somagede and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. A qualitative approach with a case study design was applied. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, simple questionnaires, and document analysis, and were examined using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model. The findings reveal that tolerance is reinforced through four main strategies: institutional policies emphasizing anti-discrimination principles, integration of tolerance values into teaching subjects such as Civic Education, Islamic Education, and Bahasa Indonesia, inclusive extracurricular activities including Scouts, student councils, and cultural arts, as well as religious accommodations provided for minority students. Supporting factors include inclusive leadership from the principal, teachers’ commitment, and acceptance from the majority group, while inhibiting factors are related to limited facilities. The study concludes that tolerance building in schools requires a synergy of policy, pedagogy, extracurricular programs, and community support, ensuring that tolerance becomes a lived practice in students’ daily life. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penguatan sikap toleransi di sekolah menengah pertama sebagai upaya membentuk generasi yang mampu hidup harmonis dalam masyarakat yang plural. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis strategi penguatan toleransi di SMP Negeri 2 Somagede serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, angket sederhana, serta telaah dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi penguatan toleransi dilaksanakan melalui empat jalur utama, yaitu kebijakan kelembagaan yang menekankan prinsip anti diskriminasi, integrasi nilai toleransi dalam pembelajaran PPKn, PAI, dan Bahasa Indonesia, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang inklusif seperti Pramuka, OSIS, dan seni budaya, serta akomodasi kebutuhan keagamaan siswa minoritas. Faktor pendukung mencakup kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang inklusif, sikap guru, serta penerimaan sosial siswa mayoritas, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan toleransi di sekolah menuntut keterpaduan antara kebijakan, pembelajaran, aktivitas kesiswaan, dan dukungan komunitas sehingga toleransi menjadi praktik nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa.
