Abstract

This study aimed to improve fifth-grade students’ mathematics learning outcomes through the use of Genially as a digital learning medium at SDN 3 Bulango Utara. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in a cyclical and systematic manner, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 12 fifth-grade students, comprising 7 female students and 5 male students. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, observations of teacher and student activities, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ mathematics learning outcomes after the implementation of Genially-based learning media. In the pre-action stage, only 25% of students achieved the minimum mastery criterion (score ≥ 75). Following the implementation of the actions, learning mastery increased to 58.33% in Cycle I and further improved to 83.33% in Cycle II. In addition, students’ learning activities showed improvement from a fair category to a very good category. These findings demonstrate that the use of Genially as a learning medium is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN 3 Bulango Utara melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran Genially. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan secara bertahap, dengan setiap siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 12 siswa, yaitu 7 siswa perempuan dan 5 siswa laki-laki. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah penerapan media Genially. Pada kondisi awal, hanya 25% siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM ≥ 75). Setelah pelaksanaan tindakan, ketuntasan belajar meningkat menjadi 58,33% pada siklus I dan mencapai 83,33% pada siklus II. Selain itu, aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran juga mengalami peningkatan dari kategori cukup menjadi kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media pembelajaran Genially terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN 3 Bulango Utara.

Abstract

This study was motivated by Grade 5 students’ difficulties in understanding the science topic of the human circulatory system, which tends to be abstract when taught mainly through verbal explanation and textbooks. Therefore, a concrete learning medium is needed to help students visualize and comprehend the concepts. The study aimed to examine (1) the feasibility, (2) practicality, and (3) effectiveness of a concrete learning medium called Sidara (Circulatory System) for Grade 5 science learning at MIS Al Mourky. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) and was conducted in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The trial participants were 17 Grade 5 students. Feasibility data were collected through expert validation (content expert and media expert), practicality data through teacher and student response questionnaires and implementation observation, and effectiveness data through a pretest–posttest achievement test analyzed using the N-Gain formula. The results showed that the Sidara medium achieved an average feasibility score of 91.25% (very feasible) and an average practicality score of 93.27% (very practical). Its effectiveness was indicated by an increase in the mean score from 55.65 (pretest) to 84.94 (posttest), with an N-Gain of 0.66 (moderate). In conclusion, the concrete Sidara learning medium is feasible, practical, and effective for improving students’ learning outcomes on the circulatory system topic.

Abstract

This study addresses the limited availability of Android-based mathematics media that integrate content, video, games, and evaluation within a single application, and responds to this gap by developing GEMBARA (Gembira Belajar Bangun Datar) to help fourth-grade students at SDN 7 Suwawa learn the area and perimeter of plane figures. Using a Research and Development approach built on the ADDIE framework analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation the study involved 19 fourth-grade students (7 girls and 12 boys), with data collected through observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Expert validation placed the medium's feasibility at an average of 93.1%, classified as “Very Feasible,” while responses from teachers and students placed its practicality at 95.8%, classified as “Very Practical.” Learning-outcome data gathered through pretest and posttest scores produced an N-Gain of 0.73 (72.53%), placed in the “High” category. Together, these results indicate that the Android-based GEMBARA medium is feasible, practical, and effective for strengthening fourth-grade students' understanding of plane-figure concepts.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a feasible and practical flipbook medium to support early reading skills among second-grade students at SDN 7 Suwawa, Bone Bolango Regency. Initial conditions showed that learning activities were still dominated by printed books, causing some students to experience difficulties in recognizing letters, reading syllables, and understanding simple words. This study employed a Research and Development method using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The flipbook was organized into five reading levels under the theme “Let’s Live Healthy” and developed using Canva, CapCut, and Heyzine. Its feasibility was assessed by media, material, language, and user experts, while practicality was tested on 27 students. The results showed an average feasibility score of 92.10%, categorized as Highly Feasible, and a practicality score of 98.61%, categorized as Highly Practical. Therefore, the flipbook is feasible and practical for supporting early reading instruction in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop flipbook-based serial picture media as an alternative instructional medium for narrative writing in Grade IV elementary school. The research employed Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model, involving 17 Grade IV students of SDN 9 Dungaliyo, Gorontalo Regency as trial subjects. Product validation was conducted by three expert validators encompassing media, language, and content experts. Aggregate validation results showed a feasibility percentage of 92.30% categorized as "Very Feasible." Practicality testing yielded a teacher response rate of 91.67% and student response rate of 86.84%, with a combined average of 89.25% categorized as "Very Practical." These findings demonstrate that the flipbook-based serial picture media developed through Canva and Heyzine Flipbook platforms is feasible and practical for implementation as an Indonesian Language instructional medium, particularly for narrative writing competency in elementary education.
