Abstract

Digital transformation offers farmer groups new ways to strengthen administrative governance, yet financial records are often kept manually and without standardized procedures. This community service program aimed to improve farmer groups' digital financial literacy through training on the Farmers' Budgeting System Application and to examine its initial effects on record-keeping orderliness, transparency, and the efficiency of cash recapitulation. Using a pre-experimental one-group pre-test–post-test design, we conducted a participatory, hands-on training session with 11 participants in a face-to-face setting at Politeknik Jambi. Data were collected via a pre/post knowledge test, an operational skills checklist, and a perception questionnaire. Participants' mean knowledge score increased from 46.55 (pre-test) to 82.45 (post-test), and most participants mastered core functions for entering income and expense transactions and generating summary reports for recapitulation. Early outcomes included faster administration, neater and better-documented records, and more transparent cash reporting. We conclude that application-based training can rapidly raise digital financial literacy and improve basic financial governance in farmer groups. This program contributes a practical, replicable training model and preliminary evidence supporting the use of digital record-keeping tools to strengthen community-based financial management.

Abstract

Manual grass cutting still requires considerable labor and has a low level of efficiency. Therefore, a device is needed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the grass-cutting process. This study aims to design and test a grass-cutting machine based on a control system equipped with a blade drive mechanism and a track-based mobility system. The research method included mechanical design, system assembly, and performance testing of the device. Testing was carried out on several main components, namely the blade drive mechanism, the track tensioning system, and the safety of the track shoe under various terrain conditions. The test results showed that the blade drive mechanism worked properly, in which the blade could rotate optimally when the linear actuator piston stroke reached 60 mm. The testing of the track tensioning system indicated that a tensioning distance of 6 cm was the most stable condition, as the track did not detach from the sprocket during operation. In addition, testing of the track shoe on flat and inclined roads over a distance of 15 meters showed that the system was able to provide good movement stability and traction without causing damage to the track components. Overall, the designed grass-cutting machine was able to operate stably and has the potential to be used under various terrain conditions in the grass-cutting process.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada POKTAN Mayang Mandiri, sebuah kelompok tani yang beranggotakan 11 orang dan berlokasi di Kota Jambi. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan efisiensi kerja dan kemampuan manajerial petani melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna dan sistem pencatatan keuangan berbasis aplikasi. Permasalahan utama mitra meliputi keterbatasan alat bantu pertanian dan lemahnya administrasi keuangan yang masih dilakukan secara manual. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Sistem Budgeting Petani serta pengenalan dan pemanfaatan alat bantu pertanian seperti alat angkut dan pelubang tanah. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pelatihan, demonstrasi, serah terima alat, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Peningkatan keterampilan mitra diukur menggunakan sistem evaluasi berbasis observasi dan wawancara terstruktur. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta terhadap pencatatan keuangan digital, di mana 73% anggota mampu menggunakan aplikasi secara mandiri. Selain itu, pemanfaatan alat bantu pertanian mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pengolahan lahan hingga 30%. Tingkat kepuasan mitra mencapai 91,5%, menandakan bahwa program ini efektif dan relevan dalam mendukung produktivitas serta kemandirian kelompok tani.Abstract: This community service activity was carried out at POKTAN Mayang Mandiri, a farmer group with 11 members located in Jambi City. This program aims to improve work efficiency and managerial skills of farmers through the implementation of appropriate technology and an application-based financial recording system. The main problems faced by partners include limited agricultural tools and weak financial administration, which is still carried out manually. The solution offered was training on the use of the Farmer Budgeting System application and an introduction to and utilization of agricultural tools such as transport equipment and soil drills. The implementation method included training, demonstrations, tool handover, and monitoring and evaluation. Improvement in partner skills was measured using an observation-based evaluation system and structured interviews. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of digital financial recording, with 73% of members able to use the application independently. In addition, the use of agricultural tools was able to increase land cultivation efficiency by up to 30%. The partner satisfaction rate reached 91.5%, indicating that this program is effective and relevant in supporting the productivity and independence of farmer groups.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan proses pembersihan komponen otomotif di Bengkel 3 Putra yang masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan sikat kawat, amplas, dan cairan pembersih. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan waktu pengerjaan relatif lama, beban kerja operator tinggi, kualitas pembersihan belum seragam, serta kurang efektif untuk komponen dengan bentuk rumit dan celah sempit. Solusi yang diberikan adalah implementasi mesin vapor blasting sebagai teknologi tepat guna yang memanfaatkan campuran air, udara bertekanan, dan media abrasif halus untuk membersihkan permukaan komponen. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi kebutuhan mitra, perancangan dan pembuatan mesin, pengujian fungsi alat, implementasi di lokasi mitra, serta pelatihan pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa total waktu pembersihan lima jenis komponen menurun dari 195 menit menjadi 85 menit, sehingga terjadi penghematan waktu sebesar 110 menit atau 56,41%. Produktivitas kerja meningkat dari 1,54 komponen/jam menjadi 3,53 komponen/jam atau naik 129,41%. Kualitas hasil pembersihan juga meningkat dari skor rata-rata 2,68 menjadi 4,46 atau meningkat 66,42%, terutama pada aspek kebersihan permukaan, keseragaman hasil, kehalusan visual, kemampuan menjangkau celah, dan penurunan debu kerja. Evaluasi pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra pada aspek prinsip kerja, persiapan media, pengaturan tekanan, teknik penyemprotan, dan perawatan dasar. Dengan demikian, implementasi mesin vapor blasting terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi proses restorasi, kualitas layanan, dan kapasitas kerja bengkel skala kecil.
