Abstract

Abstrak - Tujuan pembuatan Prototipe alat penyiraman tanaman otomatis berbasis arduino uno untuk membuat suatu sistem yang dapat mengontrol kelembaban tanah dan suhu udara pada tanaman didalam greenhouse. Selama ini penyiraman tanaman yang dilakukan di greenhouse masih menggunakan tenaga manusia. Sistem  ini  menggunakan  arduino  uno sebagai  pusat  kontrol  dan menggunakan  sensor YL-69 dan DHT11 sebagai  sensor  untuk  mendeteksi  kondisi  di  dalam greenhouse. YL-69   merupakan   sensor   untuk   mengukur   kelembaban   tanah, sementara DHT11 merupakan sensor untuk mengukur suhu udara. Sebagai pengendali di dalam  greenhouse terdapat dua output kendali yaitu  motor pompa serta fan. Sistem ini telah berhasil dibuat dan telah dapat mengendalikan greenhouse secara otomatis sesuai dengan batas  set point. Nilai set  point untuk kelembaban  tanah adalah  50 % , apabila kelembaban tanah kurang dari 50% maka motor pompa akan bekerja. Nilai set  point suhu udara adalah 28°C, apabila suhu udara lebih dari 28°C maka fan akan bekerja. Kata Kunci: Greenhouse, YL-69, DHT 11, Arduino Uno Abstract - The aim of making a prototype of an automatic plant watering device based on Arduino Uno is to create a system that can control soil moisture and air temperature for plants in the greenhouse. During this time of watering is done in greenhouses are still using manpower. The system uses arduino uno as a control center and using the YL-69 sensor and DHT11 as sensors to detect conditions in the greenhouse. YL-69 is a sensor to measure soil moisture, while DHT11 a sensor to measure air temperature. As a control in the greenhouse, there are two outputs that control the pump motor and fan. This system has been successfully created and has been able to control greenhouse automatically in accordance with the limit set point. The set point value for the soil moisture is 50%, if the soil moisture is less than 50% then the pump motor will work. Values set point temperature is 28°C, when the air temperature is over 28°C, the fan will work.Keywords:  Greenhouse, YL-69, DHT 11, Arduino Uno

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the application of a confined space special work permit procedure for welding the main tank of the fuel truck at PT. Mangala Usaha Manunggal. Confined space has a very high potential hazard that can endanger the safety of someone who enters it, so prevention efforts are needed to avoid work accidents, one of which is the application of a special work permit to work in a confined space. This type of research is descriptive research with qualitative methods. Data collection was done through observation and interviews. Informants in this study consisted of: 1 head of the HSE department, 1 HSE executive, 1 head of the PLANT department, and 1 work supervisor. Data analysis based on KEP No. 113/DJPPK/IX/2006, and SOP-00-HSE-008 special work permit for PT. Mangala Usaha Manunggal. The process of working in confined spaces includes the implementation of procedures for the confined spaces system in which every work in a confined space must have a person in charge, working employees, stand-by person and safety officer who gives permission to work in the confined spaces area. The results of this study indicate that the amount of conformity between regulatory standards and existing conditions at the work preparation stage is 86%, at the work implementation stage is 81%, at the closing/completed work stage is 100%, then the overall value obtained is 89% so that these results indicate the level of achievement in the level of effectiveness included in the criteria of "fairly effective". Conclusion from The application of special work permit procedures for confined spaces work at PT Manggala Usaha Manunggal has not been fully in accordance with KEP No. 113/DJPPK/IX/2006, but has been "effectively enough" carried out according to company procedures. This is because the company has not certified personnel/officers in particular (intermediate and primary) for work in confined spaces, the company has not provided SCBA (self contain breathing apparatus), the company's Rescue Plan has never conducted a first aid simulation for victims in a confined space, the company does not yet have certified first aid personnel as required in the guidelines.

Abstract

The protection system is essential in the 20 kV distribution network system. The 20 kV equipment control system is supplied from 2 sources: PT (Potential Transformer) and DC voltage supply (Battery). If the protection relay and mechanics do not get a DC voltage supply, it will have an impact on the equipment not being able to trip when there is a disturbance in the network. There is no DC voltage supply due to battery failure or damage. For this reason, it is necessary to operate the tool manually, which results in the normalization process taking longer because it takes time and long distances, so the duration of outages is even greater. In this study, a monitoring system for the battery of the equipment will be made where previously observations were made about the need for this tool. The method used by the tool uses the blynk application as a receiver of direct voltage and temperature measurement reports that are connected to the gsm module. As a microcontroller processes, Arduino Nano commands from intelligent phones, generating a measurement report from the battery. GSM SIM 900 module as a data receiver and sender in the system. This tool is easy to apply to the system because it does not require a sufficient additional voltage source from the battery. The results of this study become a solution for companies to improve their 20 kV. distribution network system.

Abstract

In general, security safe box is currently still using key combination that has some drawbacks. One of the weaknesses is the risk of lossing of the keys and forgetting the lock codes that impact at users of not being able to operate the safe box. Therefore, the researcher is designing a tool that is more practical and safe that can replace the key of security safe box. In the research,  the researcher uses the method of fingerprint and a PIN by  designing a circuit input tool using the output fingerprint sensor and keypad. For the series of processor,the researcher applies the Arduino microcontroller Uno R3 while for series output the researcher applies  three output circuit such as LCD, Buzzer, and Selenoids. Security tool safe box can only be operated by entering PIN and fingerprint which have been registered. Hence, the users do not need to save an object to operate the safe box. Based on the results of testing, this tool is able to open the safe box by inputting 5 registered  ID interchangeably as much as 25 times. The Solenoids then are able to operate when they are given voltage > 9, 5V 350 mA to 12V 800 mA.

Abstract

Abstract—The process of sorting tomatoes can be done using visual methods by paying attention to color. The purpose of this research is to improve the process of sorting tomatoes based on color in distinguishing ripe tomatoes and immature tomatoes. Streamline the time of sorting tomato fruit in order to avoid losses due to spoilage. This research method is with a sample of tomato fruit taken RGB value through TCS 3200 color sensor according to the level of maturity. After the RGB value is obtained, it will be processed into the Arduino Uno to obtain maturity information through the rules that have been made and sorted using a servo motor. The results of this study indicate that a good condition for detecting tomato fruit is with a closer distance to the fruit with a dark background. This is because there is no excess light reflection so that the TCS sensor can take RGB values well and reduce the occurrence of misreading of ripeness information in the sorting process. Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology necessitates an enhancement of digital literacy among the public, especially among vocational high school students. This study aimed to improve the digital literacy competencies of Electronics Engineering students at SMK Negeri 2 Parepare in solving mathematical problems through the utilization of Google Gemini. Initial observations revealed that students exhibited misconceptions and faced challenges in finding accurate information related to mathematical concepts on the internet. This educational initiative was conducted in three distinct phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the implementation phase, students received interactive training on the utilization of Google Gemini. The evaluation results demonstrated a significant improvement in the students' ability to find relevant information, solve mathematical challenges, and foster a growth mindset towards learning. The application of Google Gemini as an educational tool has proven effective in enhancing students' digital literacy. This underscores the importance of integrating technology into the educational framework to facilitate the advancement of students' competencies in the digital era.

Abstract

Abstract—The growth of rapid development in the big cities but without well planning in terms of fire prevention and the things that can cause a fire, for example electrical installations and gas that can either lead to frequent fires in the residential homes. The aim of the study is to prevent fires by detecting the presence of smoke and excessive heat around the house and protect the occurrence of fires that have wide impacts. The outcome of the fire protection design using smoke and heat detector based on microcontroller is to detect both smoke and heat hazards. If there is a danger of smoke or heat, then the system will provide a warning alarm, provide the path to the door emergency evacuation, and provide protection to extinguish the fire before the fire was enlarged.

Abstract

In the soil there are many compound of Fe and Mn as well as in the clay. Those two compounds need to be reduced to improve the resistive value of the clay. One method to reduce those compounds is by electromagnetic filter using solenoid. From the experiment circuit, it was found that the resistive value was 4.5 Ohm with maximum current of 5 Ampere. Concentration of Fe and Mn after filtered were 0.46 ppm and 0.40 ppm respectively.

Abstract

Kaltim-5 Factory is the biggest plant for Ammonia and Urea in Indonesia. Construction of this plant was executed by Consortium IKPT-TOYO. Along the construction stage, procurement for materials were absolutely needed, and Procurement Department IKPT-TOYO has responsibility to handle materials procures. System that currently used is still using Microsoft Excel by manual input for each steps beginning from inquiry stage, getting vendor quotation until PO issued. This method still has some problems occurred such as uncontrolled stock and material requisition, also inquiry sheet which can be easily lost. In order to support the completion of K5-Project that needs more materials, therefore it needs a system that can ease and also improve the work of Procurement Department. Based on this background, research study to resolve this problem is held. This system gives status information and it is integrated to the each control step smoothly. System development used on this program is SDLC with Waterfall model. Moreover, testing methods is using Black Box system. The design of this monitoring information system describes a work order application by using PHP Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, AppServ 2.10.2 as web server and MySQL as database. Having testing the application, the result of this study shows that the application is able to improve the data processing of material procurement with minimum of error and high accuracy.

Abstract

In a building should have a good security system,especially Emergency Exit (emergency evacuation path).Emergency Exit is important because when an emergency occursin the building, the first thing to do is get out of the lab building.One thing to note is the emergency exit door. With the emergencydoor that can be opened quickly so all workers can get outquickly as well from the building when an emergency occurs.So,we need a model (prototype) controlling an emergency door thatcan function properly in an emergency. Prototype newemergency door controller is expected to be implemented intoactual emergency door. Prototype can be accessed with a pushbutton by the user facility. The prototype controller usemicrocontroller ATMega16. And for each emergency exitmovement is monitored and its status is expressed in LEDindicator lights and LCD display on 16x2. Modeling controllingemergency exit of a series of tests using a prototype have workedwell except on the 3rd test caused an error when calibrating thedistance between Ultrasonic sensor with Emergency Door.
