Abstract

This study identified the critical thinking skills of Guidance and Counseling students. The analysis of this capability was illustrated in the scalogram resulted from the RASCH model analysis. The respondents were Guidance and Counseling students at a public University, in Bandung, Indonesia. The data obtained was used as a pilot study in measuring the critical thinking skill test constructed by the author. The results showed that the students' critical thinking skills were in the low category, with a percentage of 44%. The scalogram picture showed that there were three students who gave inconsistent patterns for several questions which showed that the result was still valid. The result of this study could be a reference for giving group counseling to some students who had inconsistent response patterns. In conclusion, counseling with a cognitive approach needed to be held in improving the critical thinking skills of Guidance and Counseling students who had low levels of critical thinking skill as a follow-up to this research. The implication of this study was that the research data could be used as a reference in the preparation of the guidance and counseling service program related to critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between learning motivation towards Economics learning achievement of high school students in Bogor Regency, West Java. This research used a quantitative approach. The subject of the study were class XI students of Bogor Regency State High School. The data analysis technique used was inferential statistics using the SPSS 23.0. This correlation study produces data: (1) there are positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and Economics learning achievement, (2) learning motivation of high school students throughout Bogor Regency influences Economics learning achievement, and (3) the increasing motivation of high school students in Bogor Regency will also increase the achievement of learning Economics as well. This study proves that dominantly learning motivation influences Economics learning achievement of high school students in Bogor Regency with a percentage of 70.8%. The results of this study can be followed up by providing guidance and counseling services with the aim of increasing the learning motivation of students who have low motivation to learn.

Abstract

The discussion of critical thinking skills concerns several multidimensional things, some of them are individual’s decision making and problem solving skills. Critical thinking skills related to an individual's ability to understand some words or sentences. Students who had a high interpretation skill were likely to have a high critical thinking skill as well. Since some studies had proven that students with language background had a high critical thinking skill, this study was aimed to find whether students with Sundanese language background also had high critical thinking skills. Using quantitative approach, this study investigated the level of critical thinking skills of Sundanese Language Education students in a public University, in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The sample in this study was 38 students. This measurement of critical thinking skills uses a test instrument of adolescent critical thinking skills developed by researchers and has moderate reliability. This study used polytomous data, which score range of 0-3 on each item's answer. Based on the results of Scalogram, analyzed using RASCH model, the critical thinking skills of Sundanese Language Education students were in a high category. The validity of this result was shown by the consistency of students in answering questions portrayed in the result of that Scalogram. This finding is allign with several studies that explained that individuals who exceled in language ability and had a high understanding ability, would also have a high critical thinking skill. Some pedagogical implications were also provided in this study.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penerapan pembelajaran literasi di beberapa sekolah belum merata. Salah satu teknik bimbingan yang direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu upaya pendukung gerakan literasi dalam pendidikan. Teknik bibliolearning sebagai upaya preventif dan preservatif dalam pemberian pendekatan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Teknik pembelajaran pustaka secara terarah ini dianggap dapat meningkatkan wawasan mengenai kemampuan pemecahan masalah sesuai tahap perkembangan peserta didik. Teknik bibliolearning diharapkan mampu mereduksi permasalahan sosial pada peserta didik akibat salah suai dan penyesuaian diri yang kurang pada peserta didik pada masa transisi anak ke tahap remaja. Kebermanfaatan teknik bibliolearning dapat menjadi suatu referensi program bimbingan pribadi dan sosial di sekolah. Teknik bibliolearning akan diaplikasikan dalam bimbingan kelompok dengan tema permasalahan yang spesifik. Pelaksanaannya cukup dengan memanfaatkan fungsi perpustakaan seperti biasa untuk menerapkan tekniknya serta untuk mendukung pembelajaran literasi dengan mengelompokkan siswa untuk membahas suatu permasalahan. Implikasi dari hasil penerapan teknik ini adalah mampu mereduksi permasalahan peserta didik dan membuka wawasan peserta didik dalam lingkungan pergaulan sosial. Abstract

Teknik empowerment dalam konseling feminis memiliki tujuan untuk memberdayakan harapan-harapan dan potensi konseli untuk berkembang berdasarkan tujuan yang ingin dicapainya. Korban pelecehan seksual memiliki traumatic sehingga akan berpengaruh pada kondisi psikologisnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mereduksi traumatic pada korban pelecehan seksual di tempat kerja. Metode yang digunakan pre-eksperimental dengan sampel tujuh orang yang pernah mendapatkan pelecehan seksual di tempat kerja dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Konseling dilakukan lima sesi pertemuan dengan materi tiap pertemuan 1) Kamu ga sendirian, 2) Belajar Tegas pada Diri Sendiri, 3) Asah Keberanian, 4) Sadar Berkembang, dan 5) Bangkit dengan Tujuan Baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari tujuh orang konseli menunjukkan perkembangan yang ditunjukkan dengan penguatan yang terjadi antar konseli dalam kelompok. Hal ini juga diindikasikan dengan adanya perubahan raut muka yang dari sesi ke sesi menunjukkan perubahan makin yakin dan percaya diri terhadap tujuan mereka kedepan. Implikasi penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi teknik konseling dalam mereduksi trauma pada korban pelecehan seksual. Namun, peneliti selanjutnya juga perlu memperhatikan teknik yang digunakan dalam konseling feminis, sehingga tidak harus menggunakan teknik empowerment sesuai dengan penggunaan teknik dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Self-concept is one component that describes itself due to the experience of interaction with the environment. The purpose of this study was to identify the level of self-concept of Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya students. In addition, this research is used as an empirical study in developing personal-social guidance programs for UNIPA students. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The results of this study illustrate that the level of self-concept of Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya students is in the positive category with a percentage of 93.18%. The data can be used as a reference in the development of curative social-personal guidance programs for students at the Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya (UNIPA). Based on the results of the research obtained, where the self-concept of students has a low category on personal self, physical self, moral ethical self, and self identity can be a reference for the preparation of hypothetical counseling and guidance service programs.

Abstract

The research topic about scientific literacy assessment has become the concern of many scientists recently, including Indonesian researchers. This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review about scientific literacy instrument research in Indonesia for the last 24 years. This research used Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) to identify and screen the articles to be reviewed. In the initial stage, as many as 3,926 articles were found in the database of Google Scholar using several related keywords. Using 7 inclusion criteria that have been determined in the screening process, 102 articles were selected to be reviewed by the researchers in this study. It was found that research on scientific literacy instruments in Indonesia has been growing massively in recent years, with the majority of respondents coming from the western part of Indonesia, making students from the central and eastern areas underrepresented. Reflecting on these findings, challenges and opportunities will be discussed in this paper, along with the suggestion for future research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 280518 Orudua Desa Hilibanua Kecamatan Namohalu Esiwa Kabupaten Nias Utara, terhadap materi operasi hitung bilangan bulat melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran sebelumnya adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa serta kurangnya partisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 12 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui dua siklus tindakan yang mencakup tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil evaluasi terhadap perangkat pembelajaran (RPP) menunjukkan peningkatan, di mana pada siklus I mencapai 78%, dan meningkat menjadi 98% pada siklus II. Dari aspek pelaksanaan pembelajaran, baik yang dilakukan oleh guru maupun keterlibatan siswa, diperoleh hasil 80% pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 98% pada siklus II. Adapun hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu dari rata-rata nilai 75 pada siklus I menjadi 90 pada siklus II. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi operasi hitung bilangan bulat di tingkat sekolah dasar.
