Abstract

Anak rentan sakit apabila lingkungan sehari-hari berinteraksi dengan orang yang mengalami sakit dimana sistem imun dibentuk sejak awal kehidupan ketika dalam kandungan mengalami perkembangan seiring pertambahan usia. Kesehatan anak yang optimal akan berdampak positif terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam meraih prestasi belajar dimana kemampuan siswa dalam berperilaku dalam menyerap ilmu pengetahuan. Hal ini sangat diperlukan peran serta orang tua sebagai keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui karakteristik tugas keluarga terhadap nilai rapor siswa. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 111 responden orang tua siswa (ayah atau ibu) dan siswa kelas 2-6 di SDN Jatimulyo 02 Malang yang diambil secara acak dengan accidental sampling pada periode Oktober 2022. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu diadopt dari Dunst 1984 the family support scale analisa data menggunakan uji regresi linear. Hasil nilai F hitung > Nilai F tabel untuk df 110 sebesar 3.087 artinya variabel independen tugas keluarga (mengenali masalah kesehatan, mengambil keputusan, merawat keluarga, modifikasi lingkungan, memanfaatkan yankes) berpengaruh bersama-sama terhadap nilai siswa.

Abstract

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic is limited to activities outside the home, focusing on online activities with academic and practical learning, which can cause changes in blood pressure, reducing physical activity for students. Lifestyle changes are a trigger for non-communicable diseases (PTM), one of the factors that trigger changes in blood pressure. Methods: Observational analytic research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used Stratified Random Sampling with 66 nursing students in semesters 2, 4, 6, and 8. Physical activity was measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), and blood pressure measurement using an aneroid sphygmomanometer. Data analysis used the Kruskall-Wallis test. Results: The majority were female, 68.2%, and had an average age of 20.97. 66.7% had no family history of the disease, and as many as 77.3% had no previous medical history. 56.1% had a normal Body Mass Index (BMI), and the majority, 81.8%, had no smoking behaviour. The majority, 54.5%, had moderate physical activity and normal blood pressure, with a mean of 111.08/79.89. The result of data analysis between physical activity and systolic blood pressure is p= 0.804, and for diastolic blood pressure, p= 0.961. Conclusion: There is no significant correlation between physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic and blood pressure in STIKES Widyagama HusadaMalang nursing students.

Abstract

The issue of nutritional health among toddlers has become a concern for the Indonesian government. The aim of this initiative is twofold: firstly, to prevent and early detect stunting in toddlers by leveraging local food resources through spinach-based technology, and secondly, to enhance the skills of Posyandu health cadres in spinach-based technology and improve their knowledge on stunting prevention. The service team will provide health education on stunting prevention using lecture and discussion methods and conduct anthropometric measurements. Practical or demonstration methods will be used to make cakes and jelly candies. The next stage is evaluation. Findings from the community empowerment evaluation show that health cadres are able to make jelly candy and spinach biscuits. The level of knowledge and skills of cadres on early stunting prevention and anthropometric measurements increased compared to before community empowerment. The evaluation results for knowledge and skill levels after training were 79.4 versus 66.5 before training. Paired t-test analysis found that the p-value was 0.002, so it was concluded that there was a significant increase in knowledge and skills scores in transferring spinach technology before and after training.

Abstract

The manifestation of human resources begins in the womb until the first 1000 days of life. Increased nutritional needs in the body that are not met while in the womb can result in various nutritional problem such as low birth weight, malnutrition, iron deficiency. The completeness of nutritional elements in food is often experienced by toddlers as having an impact on stunting, one of the influencing factors is the mother’s knowledge about the nutritional adequacy of toddlers and how to process food as Makanan Pendamping Air Susu Ibu (MPASI, weaning food) ingredients. The most common commodities in Srigonco village are green bananas, tuna, and red spinach but these commodities are sold at the Bantur market and families only eat rice, salt and crackers. In April 2023 survey through cadres, there were 30 stunted children. The solution offered is in the form of training, mother’s assistance for 3 months in making daily food menu variants using natural ingredients in Srigonco village with the combination of green bananas, tuna, and red spinach as MPASI which are adapted to the child age group. The service implementation procedure provides training and assistance to mothers who have stunted children and are at risk of stunting.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting is a national level health problem experienced by the majority of Indonesian toddlers. Stunting has a negative impact on human resources in the future, both physically and intellectually. The problem of stunting is caused by multiple factors, one of which is poor fulfillment of the nutritional needs of toddlers. The combination of fulfilling macro and micro nutrition in stunted toddlers is an effort needed to treat stunted toddlers. To determine the effectiveness of combination therapy of red spinach powder and tuna fish oil for treating stunted toddlers. The method used in this research was a quasi-experiment with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The results of measuring nutritional status in stunted toddlers were analyzed using the independent T - test. Combination therapy was given to 52 stunted toddlers who were divided into 2 groups, namely control and treatment groups. Combination therapy consists of providing high macronutrient nutrition (tuna fish oil) as the main food and providing high micronutrient nutrition (red spinach powder) as a snack. The results of this study prove that there were significant changes in nutritional status in the treatment group. The average weight of toddlers before giving combination therapy was (10.885) and after giving BB (11.855) with a P value of 0.000. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the difference in mean weight between the treatment group and the control group were found to be significantly different with a difference of 1.98 and a P value of 0.035. Stunting menyebabkan efek jangka pandang di masa mendatang yakni buruknya kualitas sumber daya manusia baik dari fisik maupun kognitif. Masalah stunting disebabkan oleh multi factor salah satunya adalah buruknya pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi balita. Kombinasi pemenuhan gizi makro dan mikro pada balita stunting merupakan upaya yang dibutuhkan dalam penanganan balita stunting. Mengetahui efektifitas terapi kombinasi bubuk bayam merah dan minyak ikan tuna untuk penanganan balita stuting. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) dengan rancangan randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil pengukuran status gizi pada balita stunting di analisa menggunakan uji T tidak berpasangan. Terapi kombinasi diberikan kepada 52 Balita stunting yang dipecah menjadi 2 kelompok, yakni kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan. Terapi kombinasi terdiri dari pemberian nutrisi tinggi makronutrien (minyak ikan tuna) sebagai makanan utama dan pemberian nutrisi tinggi micronutrient (bubuk bayam merah) sebagai makanan selingan. Data perubahan status gizi berupa peningkatan rerata BB/U signifikan pada kelompok perlakuan. Rerata status gizi BB/U balita sebelum pemberian terapi kombinasi (10,885) dan setelah pemberian BB/U (11,855) dengan P value 0.000. Kemudian hasil perbedaan rerata status gizi BB/U kelompok control didapatkan beda signifikan dengan selisih 1,98 dan P value 0,035. intervensi nutrisi (kombinasi bubuk bayam merah dan minyak ikan tuna) efektif dalam meningkatkan BB balita dengan stunting Kata Kunci: Stunting, Bayam Merah, Minyak Ikan Tuna, Balita

Abstract

In January-February 2022, there was a surge in Covid-19 cases due to the omicron virus mutation. Consequently, the government advised conducting remote learning for all students using internet-connected devices. Changes in vision function during childhood occurred globally in 2050 children, with 10% of Indonesia's 66 million children experiencing visual impairments. Maintaining eye health in this age group is facilitated through school health units, and the results are reported to parents during each semester's report card distribution. This study aimed to measure the differences in family developmental tasks concerning childhood vision function. The research design employed was a cross-sectional study using descriptive analysis involving 111 respondents: parents and elementary school students selected through accidental sampling. Data collection took place in October 2022. The measurement tool, developed from Dunst (1984), assessed family developmental tasks, converted into the Brinkman index. Student vision was measured using a Snellen card, and the level of difference was assessed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. The Brinkman index results showed that 38.14% had good vision function, 45.35% were adequate, and 16.51% were poor. The hypothesis test yielded a p-value of 0.316 0.05, indicating no significant difference between family developmental tasks and childhood vision function.Top of Form

Abstract

Pneumonia merupakan infeksi saluran pernafaan akut dengan morbilitas dan mortilitas cukup tinggi pada anak di bawah 5 tahun, terutama di negara berkembang. Salah satu faktor pemicu yang mempengaruhi kejadian pneumonia yaitu kondisi fisik rumah yang kurang sehat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan kondisi fisik rumah menara Sumba dengan kejadian pneumonia balita di Wilayah Kerja RSUD Waikabubak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitan cross-sectional. Sampel ditentukan dengan menggunkan teknik probability sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah 58 responden. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2024. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner  dengan kriteria inklusi orang tua yang bersedia menjadi responden dan mempunyai balita dengan diangnosa medis pneumonia yang pernah berobat di RSUD Waikabubak serta tinggal di rumah menara Sumba, kriteria eksklusi orang tua balita yang tidak bersedia menjadi responden. Penelitan ini menggunakan uji chi-square dengan α 0,05. Hasil menunjukkan mayoritas kejadian pneumonia sedang 40 (69,0%) responden dan kejadian pneumonia berat 18 (31,0%) responden dengan kondisi rumah yang tidak sehat. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan  uji chi-square diperoleh p value 0,048 yang berarti lebih kecil dari α = 0,05 dengan demikian dapat dikatakan Ha diterima berarti ada hubungan kondisi fisik rumah menara Sumba dengan kejadian pneumonia balita. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kondisi fisik rumah menara Sumba dengan kejadian pneumonia balita pada periode Juli 2024.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is caused by hormonal imbalances that trigger lower abdominal pain, which may radiate to the suprapubic region, lower back, medial thighs, and perineum. Dysmenorrhea typically occurs 1–2 days before or during menstruation, causing disruptions in concentration and increased anxiety. Non-pharmacological management of dysmenorrhea with SJKT (Lemongrass, Ginger, Turmeric, Curcuma Xanthorrhiza) formulations, containing gingerol, shogaol, essential oils, flavonoids, polyphenols, and curcumin exerts analgesic effects that are effective in reducing pain. To analyze the effectiveness of SJKT formulations in reducing menstrual pain associated with dysmenorrhea. A true experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The intervention group received SJKT formulations, while the control group consumed young coconut water, 300 ml/day for 4 days. The Wilcoxon test for the intervention group yielded a p-value of 0.001, while the control group had a p-value of 0.157. The Mann-Whitney test produced a p-value of 0.022, showing a significant difference between the two groups, as the SJKT formulation is more effective in reducing dysmenorrhea pain compared to young coconut water. SJKT formulation effectively reduces dysmenorrhea pain. Further studies could involve larger samples for more comprehensive results.

Abstract

Promosi kebiasaan makan sehat harus dilakukan sejak dini, kebiasaan makan sehat salah satu perilaku dari lingkungan sosial, salah satunya lingkungan sekolah (Lytle dan Achterberg, 2015). Anak usia sekolah sangat dipengaruhi oleh teman sebayanya yang ditemui dalam waktu lama, yaitu di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, promosi kesehatan berbasis sekolah diharapkan mampu meningkatkan konsumsi buah dan sayur anak usia sekolah (de Sa dan Lock, 2018). Sekolah sebagai tempat pembentukan generasi penerus bangsa sehingga kualitas penerus bangsa salah satunya tergantung dari asupan nutrisi anak sehai-hari. Pengelolaan jajanan yang kurang hygienis dan kurang memperhatikan sanitasi lingkungan memungkinkan terkontaminasi mikroba serta adanya penambahan bahan penyedap rasa dapat mengindikasikan bahaya bagi kesehatan dan tumbuh kembang anak. Metode pelaksanaan program pengmas pemberikan kuesioner pengetahuan petugas kantin sekolah tentang olahan sayur dan buah, melakukan pendampingan petugas kantin sekolah melalui link vidio pembuatan olahan makanan berbahan sayur dan buah dikarenakan masa pandemi covid-19, kesepakatan dan kebijakan dalam variasi menu jajanan yang dijual di kantin sekolah. Hasil uji wilcoxon Pvalue sebesar 0.000 < 0.05 disimpulkan ada pengaruh pendampingan terhadap petugas kantin sekolah dalam penyajian olahan sayur dan buah pada anak usia late childhood. Proses pendampingan petugas kantin sekolah secara daring dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan petugas kantin sekolah. Kata Kunci: Tingkat pengetahuan, petugas kantin sekolah, olahan sayur dan buah, late childhood.

Abstract

Pemenuhan gizi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan akan mendorong pertumbuhan yang baik dan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangannya sehingga dapat membentuk generasi yang sehat, cerdas, dan produktif sebaliknya jika kebutuhan gizi dalam tubuh tidak tercukupi akan mengakibatkan berbagai masalah gizi seperti gizi kurang, gizi lebih, defisiensi zat besi, dan zink. Gizi kurangseringdialami oleh balita, salah satu faktor yangberpengaruh terhadap masalah gizi kurang yaitu masih rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pemeliharaan gizi balita, dan kurangnya pengetahuan tentang cara pengolahan varian menu keseharian balita sebagai bahan pengolahan MPASI. Metode pelaksanaan program pengmas pemberikan kuesioner pengetahuan kepada tim kader posyandu balita tentang alih teknologi pengolahan bayam merah sebagai food suplement, melakukan pendampingan tim kader posyandu balita melalui zoom meeting dan link vidio pengolahan varian bayam merah sebagai food suplemen balita dikarenakan masa pandemi covid-19, kesepakatan dan kebijakan dalam variasi menu bayam merah sebagai MPASI dan PMT ketika posyandu balita dilaksanakan. Hasil uji wilcoxon Pvalue sebesar 0.000 < 0.05 disimpulkan ada pengaruh alih teknologi oalahan bayam merah sebagai food suplement balita kepada kader posyandu balita. Proses pendampingan tim kader posyandu balita secara daring dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tim kader posyandu balita.
