Abstract

Background: Electronic medical records in dentistry are the latest implementation in the health sector, especially dental health history to the services needed by patients by health care facilities and affect the format of dental, medical records and electronic medical record security systems. This study aimed to review the completeness of the medical record format and the electronic medical record security system of the dental polyclinic of the General Hospital in Batam City. Method: This study used a descriptive cross-sectional observational design with two samples. Processing data in the form of tables and texts and conclusions as a result of research. Result: The results showed incomplete dental electronic medical record formats at hospital A, such as patient identity, required medical data, odontogram, intraoral examination, and treatment chart, while Hospital B included patient identity, required medical data, intraoral analysis, treatment chart, and appendix. The two samples did not meet the integrity and non-repudiation aspects of the electronic medical record security system. Conclusion: According to the Indonesian Dental Medical Record Guidelines, both samples have an incomplete dental electronic medical record format and security system.

Abstract

Background: The practice of dentists must appropiate with the standards and ethics of the dental profession. Lack of understanding of the Kode Etik Kedokteran Gigi and lack of professional discipline have led to many cases of legal and ethical violations committed by doctors. Knowledge will affect a person's actions or practices, knowledge of dental law and ethics will influence students to act in accordance with dental ethics and law to prevent ethical and legal violations. Basically, the level of one's knowledge of professional ethics and dental law can be influenced by several factors. The aim to this study to determine the level of dental law and ethics knowledge. Method: The research was conducted by filling out questionnaires directly by the subject. The level of knowledge is classified into 3 levels, low, sufficient and high. Result: The results showed that students in the second year of preclinical, fourth year of preclinic, first year of clinic, second year of clinic, and third year of clinic had a good level of dental ethical and legal knowledge with an overall percentage in the range of 76-100%, while third year preclinical students have a sufficient level of knowledge. Conclusion: Sultan Agung Islamic University dental students have a good level of knowledge regarding the ethics and laws of dentistry.

Abstract

Background: The Social Security Organizing Agency (BPJS) is an initiative by the government to improve the quality of healthcare services. However, in reality, the services provided to BPJS patients have not yet reached optimal standards. The objective of this research is to identify patients' perceptions regarding the quality of services between BPJS and non-BPJS patients in the dental clinic of Sunan Kalijaga Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Demak.Method: This research was conducted at the Dental Clinic of Sunan Kalijaga Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Demak in the year 2020, using an observational analytical approach based on a cross-sectional design. The sample was selected using the slovin technique, with a total of 78 respondents divided into two groups, namely 39 respondents who were BPJS participants and 39 other respondents who were not BPJS participants.Result: The research results showed differences in SERVQUAL service quality scores between patients who were participants of BPJS and those who were not BPJS participants. Based on the analysis of both groups across the dimensions, reliability had gap scores of -0.7 and -0.9, tangible evidence had gap scores of -0.5 and -0.6, responsiveness had gap scores of -0.9 and -1, assurance had gap scores of -0.4 and -0.4, and empathy had gap scores of -0.4 and -1.1. These scores obtained a significance value (p<0.05),Conclusion: There were significant differences in patient perceptions between the quality of patient services for BPJS participants and non-BPJS patients.

Abstract

Background: Implementation of electronic medical records in health facilities is still very rare. The issuance of Regulation No. 24 of 2022 by the Minister of Health, which requires electronic medical records, means that all health facilities in Indonesia must be prepared to use electronic medical records. The results show that the format of electronic medical records, especially in dental facilities, is incomplete and non-standardized. Objective : The purpose of this study is to create an electronic medical record application for dentistry according to the standards of the Ministry of Health and works well. Method: The methods type is research and development with an action research approach. The method used to create the application is SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle), which includes problem identification, design, application development, testing, implementation and maintenance. Result:, The results of dental electronic medical record system application has 100% complete formats according to the minimum requirements of the minister of health regulations, including patient identity formats, patient medical record formats, odontogram formats, medical treatment formats, supporting examination upload formats, and informed consent upload formats . Conclusion: This research has succeeded in creating an web-based application for an electronic medical record system for dentistry that has standard specifications of the Ministry of Health

Abstract

ABSTRAK : IMPLEMENTASI TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT (TQM) PADA CUSTOMER JOURNEY DI RUMAH SAKIT: TINJAUAN PUSTAKA  Latar Belakang : Total Quality Management (TQM) adalah pendekatan manajemen untuk meningkatkan kualitas organisasi dengan fokus pada kepuasan pelanggan,  diperkenalkan oleh tokoh seperti Deming, Juran,  dan Ishikawa dalam manufaktur. Di rumah sakit, TQM diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan efisiensi operasional melalui partisipasi seluruh staf dalam perbaikan proses dan pengambilan keputusan berbasis data. Keterlibatan pasien sebagai pusat aktivitas juga ditekankan, dengan penggunaan survei kepuasan dan umpan balik untuk memastikan pelayanan yang memenuhi harapan pasien.Tujuan: Menganalisis pengaruh implementasi Total Quality Management (TQM) terhadap customer journey di rumah sakit.Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh implementasi Total Quality Management (TQM) terhadap customer journey di rumah sakit, dengan fokus pada identifikasi pertanyaan penelitian utama, strategi pencarian literatur, seleksi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, serta analisis dan sintesis data untuk mengidentifikasi temuan utama, tren, dan kesenjangan penelitian terkait (Snyder, 2019).Hasil : Hasil dan pembahasan dari literature review ini menyoroti bahwa implementasi Total Quality Management (TQM) di rumah sakit berpotensi signifikan untuk meningkatkan customer journey dengan memperbaiki kualitas layanan dan kepuasan pasien secara keseluruhan.Kesimpulan : Implementasi Total Quality Management (TQM) di rumah sakit dapat secara positif mempengaruhi customer journey dengan fokus pada peningkatan kualitas layanan dan kepuasan pasien.Saran : Menggunakan pendekatan gabungan kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mendalami implementasi TQM di rumah sakit, dengan fokus pada pengaruhnya terhadap customer journey dan pengalaman pasien. Kata kunci : Total Quality Management (TQM), customer journey, rumah sakit, kepuasan pasien. ABSTRACT Background . Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management approach aimed at improving organizational quality with a focus on customer satisfaction, introduced by figures such as Deming, Juran, and Ishikawa in manufacturing. In hospitals, TQM is applied to enhance service quality and operational efficiency through the participation of all staff in process improvement and data-driven decision-making. Patient engagement as the center of activities is also emphasized, using satisfaction surveys and feedback to ensure services meet patient expectations.Objective : To analyze the impact of Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation on customer journey in hospitals.Methods : This study employs a literature review method to explore the influence of Total Quality Management(TQM) implementation on customer journey in hospitals, focusing on identifying key research questions, literature search strategies, criteria for inclusion and exclusion, and analyzing and synthesizing data to identify main findings, trends, and research gaps (Snyder, 2019).Results  :  The  results  and  discussion from  this  literature  review  highlight  that  implementing  Total  Quality Management (TQM) in hospitals has the potential to significantly enhance the customer journey by improving service quality and overall patient satisfaction. Conclusion: Implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in hospitals can positively impact the customer journey by focusing on enhancing service quality and patient satisfaction.Suggestion : Utilize a combined qualitative and quantitative approach to delve deeper into TQM implementation in hospitals, focusing on its influence on customer journey and patient experience. Keywords : Total Quality Management (TQM), customer journey, hospitals, patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Background : Composite resin is a commonly used material in dentistry due to its ease of application and aesthetic qualities. A specific type of this material, known as fiber reinforced composite, consists of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers. This study aims to compare the impact of various concentrations of non-dental glass fibers on the flexural strength of composite resin when immersed in artificial saliva.Methodology : This study was experimental and followed a post-test only control group design. It included 18 specimens, each measuring 25x2x2 mm. The specimens were divided into three groups: the first group consisted of non-dental glass fiber reinforced composite with concentrations of 0%, 1%, and 2%. The data were analyzed using a One Way ANOVA parametric test.Results : The average flexural strength for the first group of non-dental glass fiber reinforced composite at 0% concentration was 52.496 MPa. For the second group, with a 1% concentration, it was 96.268 MPa. The third group, with a 2% concentration, had an average flexural strength of 134.791 MPa. The One Way ANOVA results yielded a p-value of 0.000Conclusion : The research results indicated that the highest flexural strength was observed in the non-dental glass fiber reinforced composite with a 2% concentration

Abstract

Background: Pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan Kesehatan. Di desa Dempet masih banyak dijumpai keadaan giginya yang karies dan kebersihan mulutnya masih rendah. Melakukan upaya promotif dan preventif sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya perilaku menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut.Method: Metode yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat berupa penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif dan pemutaran video tentang bagaimana cara menjaga Kesehatan gigi mulut.Result: Pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap kesehatan gigi meningkat, terbentuknya sikap masyarakat yang perduli terhadap kesehatan gig Conclusion: Penyuluhan dan video edukasi sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang kesehatan gigi.

Abstract

Background: Masyarakat masih banyak yang belum memahami tentang Tindakan pencabutan gigi dan resikonya. Tindakan pencabutan gigi kepada pasien memiliki resiko kecacatan bahkan kematian, untuk itu dokter gigi harus melakukan anamnesa dan informed consent terlebih dahulu sampai pasien benar-benar mengerti segala hal tentang resiko Tindakan pencabutan gigi. Objective : Edukasi tentang informed consent dan resiko Tindakan pencabutan gigi kepada masyarakat sangat perlu dilakukan agar tidak terjadi sengketa medis dalam pelayanan Kesehatan gigi Method: metode edukasi yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan interaktif secara langsung kepada masyarakat kabupaten tegal dan penyebran leaflet tentang informed consent tindakan pencabutan gigi . Result: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di kabupaten tegal berjalan dengan lancar dan dihadiri oleh 47 peserta. Pemahaman masyarakat kabupaten tegal tentang Tindakan pencabutan gigi dan informed meningkat Conclusion: Penyuluhan interaktif serta penyebran leaflet efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang tindakan pencabutan gigi dan persetujuan tindakan kedokteran (informed consent) dalam pelayanan kesehatan

Abstract

Background: Pada  lingkungan  sekolah,  guru  merupakan  salah  satu  agen  perubahan  untuk  penerapan perilaku  hidup  sehat,  sehingga  pembentukan  kader  kesehatan  gigi  dilingkungan  sekolah  yang melibatkan guru tentulah sangat strategis. Pelatihan kader kesehatan pada guru-guru Sekolah Dasar di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kesambi Kabupaten Tegal.Method: Metode edukasi yang dilakukan berupa penyuluhan kepada para guru Sekolah Dasar sebagai calon kader Kesehatan, pembuatan buku  saku materi Kesehatan gigi dan melakukan diskusi interaktif dengan para guru serta murid Sekolah dasarResult: Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 2  hari  yaitu  tanggal  7-8 Oktober 2022,  dengan jumlah peserta 30 orang guru. Abstract

Background: kurangnya pemahaman tentang praktik kebersihan gigi yang benar dan kurangnya perhatian terhadap perawatan gigi berkualitas dapat berkontribusi pada masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada usia remaja.SMA 11 negeri Semarang juga belum memiliki program UKGS (Unit Kesehatan Gigi Sekolah) serta belum memiliki kader-kader kesehatan gigi, sehingga pemahaman dan informasi terkait kesehatan gigi dan mulut di SMA Negeri 11 masih sangat terbatas. Pelatihan Kader Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut Usia Remaja untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan dan Perilaku Kesehatan gigi di SMA Negeri 11 SemarangMethod: metode edukasi yang digunakan berupapelatihan kader kesehatan gigi dan mulut untuk remaja siswa kelas XII SMA 11 Negeri Semarang sebanyak 46 siswaserta pengambilan data secara deskriptif cross sectional untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan siswa remaja menggunakan kuesionerResult: Kegiatan pelatihan kader kesehatan gigi dan mulut di SMA Negeri 11 Semarang berjalan dengan baik dan didapatkan hasiil tingkat pengetahuan kategori kurang adalah 0%; kategori sedang adalah 8,7% dan kategori baik sebanyak 91,3 %Conclusion: Kegiatan pelatihan kader kesehatan gigi dan mulut usia remaja efektif meningkatkan pemahamam dan pengetahuan siswa-siswi di SMA Negeri 11 Semarang
