Abstract

Setelah mengimplementasikan usulan tindakan, diperoleh jumlah persediaan berkurang. Pada kondisi aktual sebelum diterapkan sistem kanban, jumlah persediaan tercatat 12.945 pasang. Setelah diterapkan sistem kanban, jumlah persediaan menjadi 11.602 pasang. Kata kunci: Lean Manufacturing, Process Activity Mapping, Waste Assesment Model, Pemborosan Persediaan, Kanban

Abstract

The government continues to promote public transportation so that people living in Jakarta can switch from private transportation to public transportation to reduce congestion. Rail transportation is one of the widely used modes of transportation by people when they want to travel. However, at the beginning of 2020, there was a decline in passengers and there were several regulations for traveling, this was useful to suppress the level of spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Regulations and conditions for passengers who will travel by train must comply with several things, such as being obliged to follow the instructions and rules that already exist at the train station, conducting a rapid test, and having proof that the results must be negative. This research is conducted using the service quality method and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The level of service provided by the station still must be improved to maintain the satisfaction of the passengers, because the gap scores still have a negative value. Several things cause the passengers to still not feel satisfied with some services. Eight attributes have a gap value greater than the average gap obtained. The company should continue to pay attention to the comfort and satisfaction of passengers when using train services to travel somewhere. Especially at the service level related to rapid tests, more attention can be given because there are so many passengers who will carry out rapid tests in the station area.

Abstract

Suppliers play an important role as suppliers of production raw materials, making companies must choose suppliers correctly. This paper discusses the best supplier selection to avoid financial and non-financial losses This paper uses four criteria for determining the best supplier, such as price, lead time, payment terms, and quality & service. A reasonable price following initial planning is always expected by the customers. Lead time is an essential consideration to ensure on-time delivery. Failure to perform on-time delivery will direct in poor payment terms. Besides, any products that do not meet quality standards will always lead to waste. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) are used to select and determine the best supplier for the company. Pairwise comparisons are performed by making comparisons between each criterion and the alternatives made at each level of the hierarchy in pairs to get the value of the importance of the elements in the form of a qualitative opinion. The weight values for price, lead time, payment terms, and quality and service criteria are 0.0709, 0.1409, 0.2682, and 0.5200, respectively. According to AHP, alternative weight values in each criterion are 0.3899, 0.3063, and 0.3038, namely supplier A (rank 1), supplier B (rank 2), and supplier C (rank 3), respectively. However, the results of supplier selection using the TOPSIS method are supplier B (rank 1), supplier C (rank 2), and supplier A (rank 3) with values of 518.4025, 469.2017, and 412.3928, respectively.

Abstract

Inventory control is one of the most important factors in achieving optimal organizational performance. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a common method used by businesses to manage inventories. This study focuses on a hydraulic firm that has been in operation since 2016. This research examines the planning of eleven components to get the best planning for the company. This study contributes to the integration of Moving Average (MA) and Exponential Smoothing (ES) forecasting techniques alongside the MRP and three lot sizing techniques, such as LFL, EOQ, and LUC. The minimum error values between MA and ES are evaluated and followed by the comparison between three lot sizing techniques. The result shows that ES (α=0.1) is selected as the best forecasting technique, and LUC presents the lowest total inventory cost. However, LUC is only 0.05 percent lower than what LFL presents. A larger difference is shown by EOQ with 14.57 percent higher than LUC which makes EOQ unlikely to be selected.
