This study aims to determine the description of the main duties of nurses in assisting pregnant women using OSOC (One Student One Client) aproach in Semarang. This study aims to determine the main duties of nurses in assisting pregnant women using OSOC (One Student One Client) aproach in Semarang. The design of this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The number of samples for Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was 4 nurses participants. Triangulation participants were 2 midwifes and 1 community health workers. This study shows nurses are still not optimal in carrying out their role in assisting pregnant women because they work in the outpatient health centers within the scope of the treatment center and the implementation of assistance policies for pregnant women does not fully support the nurses. Nurses do not get the main duties structurally assisting pregnant women but still carry out their duties in public health care. This research shows that nurses are able to become partners of pregnant women in assistance.

Abstract

Introduction Hallucinations are the loss of human ability to distinguish between internal stimuli (thoughts) and external stimuli (the outside world). Clients give perceptions or opinions about the environment without real objects or stimuli such as clients who listen to voices when no one is talking. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that in 2018, there were about 300 million people (21%) affected by depression, 60 million people (36%) were affected by bipolar, and 23 million people (12%) were affected by schizophrenia, 50 million people. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing strategies for implementing client hallucinations on the ability to control auditory hallucinations at the Mental Hospital of Southeast Sulawesi Province. Method This study used a quasi-experimental design (pre-experimental) one group pretest-posttest design, the population of all patients with auditory hallucinations was 97 people, and a sample of 49 people who met the criteria with a simple random sampling technique located at the Mental Hospital of Southeast Sulawesi Province in August April to May 2020. Results From the results of the Wilcoxon test, it was found that the deviation value before and after the implementation of the implementation strategy in controlling hallucinations was that there was increased before and after the implementation strategy was given, the value was 0.000 < 0.05, then H1 was accepted, which means that there is an influence on the implementation of the strategy for implementing nursing actions. client hallucinations on the ability to control auditory hallucinations. Conclusion There is an implementation strategy for implementing corrective actions for clients on the ability to control hearing so that researchers are expected to become nurses' knowledge about the client's ability to control hearing experienced during the recovery process

Abstract

Abstract. The Coronavirus disease has caused fear and tension globally since the pandemic started. The increasing number of cases with high mortality is of course very stressful, especially for medical nurses who are at the forefront of dealing with cases of the world-scale Corona virus pandemic. The purpose for this research is to investigate the meeting of medical nurses while really focusing on Corona virus patients at Kendari City Hospital. The type of research used is phenomenological research. This research was carried out at the Kendari City Hospital in August 2022 involving 6 participants who used a purposive sampling technique. The triangulation used is data and research triangulation. The results of the study found that the theme of the nurse's experience in the ups and downs category showed that the nurse's care that was expressed was when wearing personal protective equipment, unable to meet with family for a very long time while the joy was that with this pandemic nurses gained new knowledge and experience.Furthermore, the category that causes stress is the problem of using PPE (personal protective equipment) due to difficulty breathing, overheating and dehydration, in the category of how to reduce anxiety, namely nurses by praying a lot and chatting with other nurses, in the category of how to adapt, namely by obeying SOPs to be protected from being infected with covid 19. Furthermore, the category of using PPE for nurses stated that they were less comfortable in using personal protective equipment, while in the category of expectations, nurses while caring for Covid-19 patients wanted the pandemic to end soon and the welfare of nurses to remain a priority as well as the hopes of other nurses so that all elements of the community still adhere to the appropriate health protocol. standard operating procedures (SOP). It was concluded that nurses gain new knowledge and experience. It is recommended to improve the quality of nurses when providing services during the Coronavirus pandemic, emphasizing the importance for nurses to receive clear and up-to-date information about best practices in nursing care, prevention and control of Coronavirus infection.

Abstract

Background: Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli are infection agents. The onion is known to have antibacterial properties. Meanwhile, sugar paste is effective to inhibit bacterial growth. Objective: This study aimed to identify the antibacterial activity of onion extract (Allium cepa Linn) and sugar paste mixture on staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli by in vitro. Methods: We used a post-test-only control group design with a completely random design. The onion extract with sugar paste mixture was divided into 4 concentrations; 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% with 3 repetitions. The data were analyzed by measuring inhibition zone diameter and tested using the One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test. Results: Findings showed that on average, the antibacterial activity of onion extract and sugar paste mixture on staphylococcus aureus was 14.57mm, 17.44mm, 18.36mm, and 22.28mm, respectively 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% concentrations. Meanwhile, on Escherichia coli, it was 17.27mm, 19.67mm, 20.31mm, and 21.62mm.Conclusion: onion extract and sugar paste mixture can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.

Abstract

Background: Anemia is an indirect cause of death for pregnant women and women in labor due to bleeding. One of the inabilities of the uterine muscles to contract is caused by anemia. The use of integrated service posts or Posyandu, especially in the fourth and fifth steps as a stage of individual health promotion, should prevent anemia in mothers. Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of midwives in the implementation of the fifth stage of function in integrated service posts in relation to preventing anemia in mothers. Methods: This was a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach conducted from January to November 2020. The participants consisted of eight midwives, two nutritionists, one laboratory analyst, six cadres, and two pregnant women. The participants were selected using accidental sampling in the Poasia Public Health Center working area, Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi of Indonesia. Results: The results showed two themes related to the implementation of the fifth stage of the integrated service post activities: pregnancy examination and treatment of anemia. Conclusion: The implementation of the fifth stage in the integrated service postal service has been carried out maximally utilizing the resources owned by the public health center and the community. However, midwives receive additional burdens for its implementation because cadres are less able to provide health education for pregnant women, especially regarding anemia. The study was supported by the Research and Community Engagement Directory (DRPM) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract. Cupping is one of the complementary therapies that can reduce blood pressure in people with hypertension. Wet cupping therapy is a cupping process by making a fine incision or stabbing to remove dirty blood in the epidermal capillaries and plays a role in controlling vasodilation so that blood pressure can decrease. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of complementary wet cupping therapy on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients at the Pomaala Public Health Center, Kolaka Regency. This study is a quantitative study, with a quasi-experimental design with a "pre-post test design" without a control group which was carried out in June to July 2022. The population in this study was carried out at the Pomalaa Health Center, Kolaka Regency with a total of 25 people. The statistical test method uses 2 different test models, namely the t test for systole and the Wilcoxon for diastole due to the normality test with the results of systole >0.05 and diastole <0.05. The results showed that pre-post obtained p value 0.001< 0.05, on diastolic blood pressure obtained p value 0.001< 0.05 indicating that Ha was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effectiveness of complementary wet cupping therapy on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. blood at the Pomalaa Health Center.
