Abstract

This study aims to explore Islamic Workplace Spirituality (IWS) as a conceptual framework for assessing employee well-being and organizational performance. The search process follows a systematic literature review based on the PRISMA protocol. The review examines Scopus-indexed journal articles on Islamic workplace spirituality, employee well-being, and performance published between 1998 and 2025. A systematic search using predetermined keywords was conducted in the Scopus database, and the selection process followed the PRISMA stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. From an initial total of 4,568 documents, twenty-one articles met the inclusion criteria and were thoroughly analyzed as shown in Table 1. The results conclude that Islamic Workplace Spirituality positively correlates with employee psychological comfort, meaningful work, ethical behavior, and inner peace. The review further demonstrates that work-related outcomes, measured in the context of workplace spirituality, include not only task-oriented behaviors but also moral responsibility, voluntary helping behavior, and commitment to organizational values. In addition, the analysis brings together and integrates key measurement indicators into an integrated framework rooted in Islamic epistemology (especially classical wisdom influenced by Al-Ghazali). This paper adds to the literature by showing that spiritual dimensions can be an integral part of organizational evaluation frameworks and by offering measurement indicators for future empirical research. This study is innovative because it has contributed to integrating Islamic workplace spirituality with employee well-being and performance through a holistic, systematic review.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultivation of religious values in the development of social intelligence among elementary school students at SDN Suryakencana CBM. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed in this research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research participants consisted of the school principal, Islamic education teachers, homeroom teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings indicate that the cultivation of religious values has been systematically implemented through various school-based religious activities, such as congregational Duha prayer, Qur’an recitation (tadarus), congregational Dhuhr prayer, and Islamic commemorative events. These activities contribute to the formation of students’ religious dispositions, including discipline, obedience, and consistent engagement in worship practices. However, students’ social intelligence remains relatively underdeveloped, as evidenced by limited cooperation, insufficient empathy, and suboptimal peer interpersonal skills. These findings reveal a discrepancy between students’ high levels of ritual religiosity and their social intelligence development. In conclusion, while the implementation of religious values contributes positively to students’ religious character formation, it has not yet been fully effective in optimizing their social intelligence.

Abstract

Premarital guidance is a preventive and strategic effort to equip prospective couples with knowledge, skills, and understanding to face the challenges of married life. This program aims to establish harmonious and sustainable families that are in accordance with the values of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah. This study aims to analyze the effect of premarital guidance on marital harmony. The research was conducted at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Gunungpuyuh District, Sukabumi City, involving 112 respondents. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. The results of the study indicate that premarital guidance has a positive effect on marital harmony (t = 8.519; p = 0.000). The study concludes that premarital guidance has a positive and significant effect on marital harmony; therefore, the research hypothesis is accepted. These findings reinforce the government’s objective of fostering strong and harmonious family life and support previous studies emphasizing the importance of premarital preparation in establishing families characterized by sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic banking has transformed financing assessment, risk management, fraud detection, and customer service systems. While AI offers significant benefits in improving operational efficiency and decision-making accuracy, it also raises concerns regarding transparency, accountability, and legal responsibility in algorithm-based decisions. This study aims to analyze the concept of algorithmic gharar  in Islamic banking and reconstruct a framework for algorithmic transparency and accountability based on Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah. This study employs normative legal research using a library research method by examining statutory regulations, DSN-MUI fatwas, scholarly literature, and contemporary studies on AI Governance, Islamic finance, and Islamic legal theory. The legal materials were analyzed qualitatively through statute, conceptual, and maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah approaches to construct a normative framework for algorithmic transparency and accountability in Islamic banking. The findings reveal that algorithmic opacity in AI-based decision-making may generate a new form of uncertainty referred to as algorithmic gharar , characterized by the inability of affected parties to understand, verify, or challenge algorithmic decisions. From the perspective of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah, algorithmic transparency and accountability are essential to safeguard wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl), intellect (ḥifẓ al-’aql), human dignity, and social justice. This study proposes a Sharia-based AI Governance framework consisting of algorithmic transparency, human accountability, Sharia algorithm auditing, data and privacy protection, and algorithmic justice. The study contributes to the development of Islamic economic law by introducing the concept of algorithmic gharar  as a contemporary legal construct and providing a normative framework for ethical AI Governance in Islamic banking.
