Abstract

This research was conducted on July 20, 2016 at the launching of Community Gotong Royong Bulan Bakong Masyarakat (BBGRM) XIII and PKK 44th Day of PKK held at Taman Kota Bungin Koto Village, Kuantan Singingi. West Labuh Baru Subdistrict, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City get the highest award at Riau Province level. The community in West Labuh Baru village has implemented the spirit of Mutual Cooperation to build the region. This is one form of leadership success in managing the leadership of community leaders based on the spirit of mutual help in building the region.The purpose of this research is to know the leadership of Lurah in increasing the community participation in regional development and to know the leadership of Lurah in policy or development initiative in Sub-district of Labuh Baru Barat Kecamatan Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru City. The location of this research was conducted in West Labuh Baru Subdistrict, Payung Sekaki Sub District, Pekanbaru City. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews and documentation. Data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative data analysis.The results of this research Leadership Lurah in improving community participation in regional development in West Labuh New Village to approach the community using persuasive techniques in government leadership and communicative techniques in government leadership. Lurah leadership style run by H. Lukman Hakim, SP also shows the power style. In terms of using his power as Lurah, his leadership style implies a participatory or democratic style. The Leadership Initiative of the New West Labuh Village in Development, namely: Creating Community Activities, Physical Development Initiatives through Cooperation with Local Community Organizations (CSOs).Keywords: Leadership Village, Community Participation, Development.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter bangsa merupakan inisiatif yang bertujuan membentuk suasanakepekaan secara serius dengan lingkungan sosial dan masyarakat agar seseorang menjadiindividu yang bertanggungjawab dengan mematuhi prinsip-prinsip kabajikan. MenurutLickona (1996), Ryan & Bohlin (1999) bahwa gerakan pendidikan karakter menekankanaspek kognitif, afektif dan tingkahlaku yang sejalan dengan landasan nilai dan agama bagimewujudkan amalan dan prilaku yang baik. Menurut Huffman (1994), pembangunanwatak seorang murid tidak dapat dipisahkan daripada interaksi mereka dalam masyarakat.Karakter adalah watak, tabiat, akhlak, atau keperibadian seseorang yang terbentuk darihasil internalisasi berbagai kebajikan (virtues) yang diyakini dan digunakan sebagailandasan untuk cara pandang, berpikir, bersikap, dan bertindak. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the implementation of the local customs prohibitions in the village of rice fields Kampar left and for know how the public’s perception of the value of local wisdom of the tradition of the village the left Kampar. Respondents in this study were 50 people using purposive sampling techniques. The data collection techniques that are done are observation, polls, and interviews. This from of research is a qualitative descriptive. The method of study used is the mixed method. this method is done by collecting data and analysis of qualitative data at a later stage to reinforce the research results. Based on the results of the research conducted on the public perception of local wisdom in the village of rice field prohibition in the left Kampar district, it can be concluded that the overall data on public perception about local wisdom under the prohibition of many states that the tradition of a ban is very good prohibition of 86,14%. Based on the results of the research and analysis of data, the researchers give recommendations to the community of rice fields should be more concerned about the tradition of a prohibition in kampar, especially in the village of rice field Kampar left district.Key Words: Local Wisdom, Lubuk Ban

Abstract

Anambas Islands tourism is supported by most of the natural potential that has selling power to tourists, one of which is mangrove ecotourism. This study will discuss the development of community-based mangrove ecotourism by looking at the community's perspective in planning, implementing, and managing ecotourism. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods and participatory observation in Batu Ampar Village to be able to describe or explain clearly what facts are in the field. The data were analyzed descriptively and then the SWOT analysis was used to analyze the management strategy in developing mangrove tourism areas based on the community's perspective. The results of the study show that the community already has its own plans for the development of mangrove ecotourism based on existing local knowledge and the entire community is ready to support future development, and is open to tourists who want to visit. With the presence of mangrove ecotourism in Batu Ampar Village, the community hopes to open new jobs and develop existing UMKM. However, from the tourism manager, there are still many things that must be developed in the mangrove ecotourism of Batu Ampar Village to make it a sustainable tourism object.

Abstract

Nilai-nilai Pancasila harus dihayati, diinternalisasi dan diterapkan dalam semua bidang kehidupan warga negara. Diajarkan melalui cara-cara yang edukatif (menghindari cara-cara indoktrinatif) dan tidak lagi dijadikan alat untuk mempertahankan pengaruh politik dan kekuasaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Diskusi dan sosialisasi kepada pendidik/ guru PPKn SMA/SMK di Kota Dumai. Diskusi dimulai dengan kegiatan brainstorming, ceramah dan tanya jawab, kemudian internalisasi melalui sosialisasi kartu pintar pengamalan pancasila guna membangun kecerdasan berideologi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan akademisi merupakan satu upaya nyata untuk mengedukasi masyarakat terhadap ideologi, bukan karena lupa dan abai dengan ideologi tetapi memperkuat pemahaman yang telah ada agar pancasila terus lestari dan terjaga. Berdasarkan hasil survey yang dilaksanakan setelah kegiatan pengabdian, para peserta memperoleh (1) peningkatan pemahaman mengenai nilai-nilai pancasila sebab disampaikan dengan cara yang menarik dan mudah dimengerti serta (2) motivasi untuk terus menerapkan nilai-nilai pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis paper analyzes social capital as an important factor for teachers who are gathered in the MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) organization in the formation of teacher competencies which include; pedagogic competence, personality competence, social competence and professional competence. The purpose of this study is to analyze; 1) social capital and 2) the role of social capital in MGMP-PPKn SMA to form teacher competence in Pekanbaru City. The subjects in this study were administrators and members of the PPKn MGMP, the determination of research subjects (informants) was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques through 1) Data Collection 2) Data Reduction 3) Data display, and 4) Data verification. The findings in this study are that the application of social capital in organizations is carried out with three main elements as pillars of togetherness, namely; 1) trust, 2) norms and 3) network. In this study, it does not claim that educator certificates are proof of teacher competence based on policies/laws. However, to get MGMP members to achieve teacher certificates, the findings of this study are that "social capital" has become a part of growing and being maintained and socialized in their togetherness, in other words the social capital in the MGMP organization has played a major role in bringing teachers to achievement, careers and positions in the world of education as a manifestation of the formation of teacher competence itself.Keywords: Social Capital, Teacher Competencies, MGMP, Civic EducationABSTRAKTulisan ini menganalisis modal sosial sebagai faktor penting bagi guru yang terhimpun dalam organisasi MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) dalam pembentukan kompetensi guru yang meliputi; kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi profesional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis; 1) modal sosial dan 2) peran modal sosial dalam MGMP-PPKn SMA membentuk kompetensi Guru di Kota Pekanbaru. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ialah pengurus dan anggota MGMP PPKn, penentuan subjek penelitian (informan) dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data melalui 1) Pengumpulan Data 2) Reduksi Data 3) Display data, dan 4) Verifikasi data. Temuan dalam penelitian ini bahwa penerapan modal sosial pada organisasi dilakukan dengan tiga unsur utama sebagai pilar kebersamaan yaitu; 1) kepercayaan, 2) norma dan 3) jaringan. Dalam penelitian ini sama sekali tidak mengklaim bahwa sertifikat pendidik adalah pembuktian kompetensi guru berdasarkan kebijakan/UU. Namun, untuk sampai anggota MGMP meraih sertifikat guru, maka temuan penelitian ini bahwa ”modal sosial” telah menjadi bagian tumbuh dan terjaga serta tersosialisasi dalam kebersamaan mereka, dengan kata lain modal sosial yang ada dalam organisasi MGMP menjadi andil besar telah mengantarkan guru ke prestasi, karier dan jabatan dalam dunia pendidikan sebagai manifestasi dari terbentuknya kompetensi guru itu sendiri.Kata Kunci: Modal Sosial, Kompetensi Guru, MGMP, PPKn

Abstract

one of which is giving a title to the groom which is called the "Batagak gala" tradition. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the existence of the "Batagak gala" tradition of Minangkabau society in the modernization era. The purpose of the study was to find out how the existence of the "batagak gala" tradition of the Minangkabau community in the modernization era in Olo Village, Nanggalo District, Padang City, West Sumatra. The data analysis technique in this study used a qualitative method with an ethnographic study approach. The results in this study explain that the "Batagak gala marapulai" tradition has undergone changes, including: the implementation time is not limited anymore, the place of implementation where the "Batagak gala" tradition

Abstract

Artikel ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya potensi yang mengacu pada sikap kepribadian siswa salah satunya pengamalan karakter peduli sosial dengan hasil belajar PKn siswa. Tujuan penelitian pada artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat korelasi karakter peduli sosial dengan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. Penelitian tersebut bersifat kuantitatif melalui metode analisis statistik yaitu rumus Korelasi Product Moment dibantu program IBM SPSS versi 20. Populasi penelitian adalah 452 siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik Proportional Random Sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 68 orang siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru dengan pertimbangan hasil belajar PKn yang diperoleh di kelas X semester 2. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis statistik bahwa hipotesis Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi karakter peduli sosial dengan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas XI di SMAN 12 Pekanbaru dengan koefisien korelasi r-hitung 0.650 lebih besar dari r-tabel 0,235. Korelasi dapat dilihat dari angka koefisien korelasi hasilnya positif yaitu 0,650 yang berada pada rentang 0,60-0,799 dengan tafsir “hubungan besar atau kuat”.

Abstract

Pre-voters are a group that will prepare to become novice voters in the next few years; it is important to prepare them to become intelligent and rational voters, one of which is through the existence of the Election Smart House. The research design employed a qualitative descriptive method. The researcher describes in-depth and comprehensively the activities of pre-voter political education at the Election Smart House of the Pekanbaru City of General Elections Commission during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants include the commissioner of the General Election Commission of Pekanbaru City, the Elecivicction Smart House of Pekanbaru City manager, and Pancasila and Civic Education teachers teaching at Senior High Schools in Pekanbaru City. The results showed that during the Covid-19 pandemic, from 2020 until now, the activities in the Election Smart House were not very active. It was noted that during the pandemic in the last two years, there were no visits from students to the Election Smart House of the Pekanbaru City owned by the General Elections Commission or visits from the City’s Election Smart House to high schools in Pekanbaru. Therefore, to overcome this situation, the Election Smart House manager initiated a creative idea by procuring Voter Education Podcasts in the Election Smart House by inviting resource persons and broadcasting them through the Pekanbaru City KPU (General Election Commission) YouTube channel. This activity is one way to educate the public without violating the health protocol and an effort to keep the Election Smart House as the center of community political education, especially students as pre-voters.

Abstract

This research is based on the trend of folk traditions in the people of West Sumatra. One of them is a tradition in the form of a competition that uses livestock such as cows, buffaloes, and ducks were in its implementation the community blends from several Luak Limapuluh (Limapuluh Kota Regency and Payakumbuh) West Sumatra Province. This study intends to explain the values of togetherness and gotong royong (team work) in the tradition of Flying Duck Race in the Limapuluh Kota Regency. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the values of togetherness and gotong royong (team work) in the tradition of Flying Duck Race of Limapuluh Kota Regency. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the values of togetherness and mutual cooperation in the tradition of Flying Duck Race in Limapuluh Kota regency. The data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of 9 (nine) people, namely the Chairman of the Nagari Traditional Density as well as the head of porti, the Tourism Office for Sports and Culture of Limapuluh Kota Regency, the Chairman of the Luak Reinbond the Chief Executive, the Competition Participants, and the community. Data analysis techniques use qualitative methods with a sociological study approach. The results in this study explain that in the tradition of Flying Duck Race there are values of togetherness in the form of humility, service and mutual cooperation has values in the form of unity, voluntary, kinship, help which are reflected when the implementation starts from the pre-implementation stage to the post-implementation or evaluation stage where the tradition is always maintained in the life of the community.
