Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan hasil dari penelitian awal yang dilakukan oleh peneliti tentang Job performance pada pegawai pemerintah di 2 Kabupaten di Sumatera Utara.   Penelitian ini  menganalisis pengaruh iklim organisasi terhadap job performance. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket model rating scale dengan skor yang terentang antara 1 sampai dengan 4. Responden adalah 115 orang  Pegawai Negeri Sipil di Kabupaten Humbahas dan Kabupaten Tobasa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan iklim organisasi memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap job performance. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif juga dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara untuk menggali persepsi  pegawai pemerintah mengenai konsep 3H. Peneliti menemukan bahwa  nilai yang selama ini dianut oleh masyarakat suku Batak yaitu nilai ?kekayaan, anak, kehormatan? (Hamoraon, Hagabeon, Hasangapon ? 3H) telah dijadikan falsafah dan menjadi cita-cita setiap masyarakat suku Batak secara turun menurun. Peneliti melihat bahwa nilai 3H ini menjadi pendorong bagi semangat kerja masyarakat suku Batak sehingga akhirnya rela bekerja keras demi meraih 3H. Hal ini tentu saja berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya job performance secara khusus dimensi contextual performance Pegawai Negeri Sipil Kata kunci: iklim organisasi, job performance, cultural value, suku BatakAbstractThis is a preliminary research about job performance on government office in the District of North Sumatera. This research was conducted at 2 regency in North Sumatra, that is Humbahas and Samosir. This study also analyzes the influence of organization climate on job performance. A climate organization and  job performance questionnaire were used as measuring instruments with a score between 1 and 4. The respondents were 115 people. Data were analyzed using regression. The results showed that organizational climate had a positive and significant effect on job performance. Researchers also found that the value of  Bataknese people which is "wealth, children, honor" (Hamoraon, Hagabeon, Hasangapon - 3H) was used as the philosophy and the ideals of any society from one generation to the Bataknese. The researchers noticed that the this value  become a booster to work hard in order to achieve 3H. This might be have a contribution to the increase of  job performance specially in government employees?s contextual performance. Keywords: climate organization, job performance, cultural value, Bataknice

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran Workplace Well-being di PT. X di kota Medan. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sejumlah 121 orang karyawan di PT.X. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang menggunakan skala Workplace Well-Being yang dikemukakan oleh Page (2005). Reliabilitas dari alat ukur ini adalah sebesar 0.837. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan program SPSS 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Workplace Well-Being pegawai di PT. X berada pada kategori sedang mengarah ke tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-esteem and peer groups on consumptive behavior among generation Z students in Medan City. This study uses quantitative research methods with the help of the SPSS for windows 17.00 program. This study uses three scales, namely the consumptive behavior scale which is arranged based on the consumptive behavior indicator according to Summartono (2002), the self-esteem scale which is based on the self-esteem aspect according to Coopersmith (1998), and the peer group scale which is arranged based on the characteristics of the peer group according to Santrock (2007). The subjects in this study were active students aged 18-25 years from 4 public and private universities in Medan, namely the University of North Sumatra (USU), Medan State University (UNIMED), University of HKBP Nommensen Medan (UHN), and the University of Muhammadyah North Sumatra (UMSU) Based on the hypothesis test, it is known that there is no effect of self-esteem and peer groups on consumptive behavior in generation Z students in Medan City with a significance value of 0.622.

Abstract

This study aimed to discover and explain the types, lexical meaning and contextual meaning of figurative languages used in Joe Biden’s Inaugural speech and this study is hoped to be utilized by further researcher. The data sources used in this study was the inaugural speech of Joe Biden. Inanalyzing the data, the writer used descriptive qualitative research method through semantic approach. Data were obtained by using the techniques of reading, noting, and analyzing. While inclassifying the data, the writer used Keraf’s theory of figurative language. In this study, the writeranalyzed the inaugural speech of Joe Biden in order to find and classify the figurative language and the meaning. The results of this study indicate that there were 13figurative language used by Joe Biden. There were 6 types figurative language found in the speech consists of six metonym, one synecdoche, two simile, one epithet, two metaphor and one allusion. There were 26 meanings of the data consists of13 contextual meanings of the data which the meanings based from the context where the language is used. And 13 lexical meanings of the data were the meanings found in online dictionary.

Abstract

Psychological well-being merupakan kesejahteraan hidup yang ditandai dengan penerimaan diri, hubungan positif, kemandirian, penguasaan lingkungan, tujuan hidup, dan pengembangan diri. Mahasiswa seringkali mengalami perubahan kualitas hidup yang menimbulkan perubahan pada psychological well-being mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap psychological well-being pada mahasiswa selama pandemic Covid-19. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 356 mahasiswa yang berada di Kota Medan dengan metode pengambilan data simple random sampling. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hipotesa diterima yaitu terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap psychological well-being mahasiswa, ditunjukan dengan nilai F hitung (175.263) dengan signifikan (p)=0,000<0.05. Dukungan sosial mempengaruhi psychological well-being sebesar 33,1%. Kata kunci : Psychological well-being, dukungan sosial, perubahan kualitas hidup, mahasiswa di kota Medan.

Abstract

Students are one of the human resources who will later enter the world of work and must adapt and be able to develop themselves to the environment they will face after graduating from college by equipping themselves with education and skills (soft skills and hard skills). In order to produce a workforce that is reliable and professional in their fields, universities are required to prepare their graduates well in implementing the knowledge they have learned in improving human resources (HR). From the results of interviews conducted by the author to the four staff, it is known that the have problems related to team performance. This statement can be supported from complaints that have been submitted by staff that the contribution made by each individual in the team is very minimal, such as in terms of giving arguments/opinions/ideas to problems in the room. The purpose of this study is to apply psychological principles related to carrying out data collection, diagnosis, prognosis, counseling and psychotherapy activities under the guidance of a psychologist. The main areas of study in this internship program include: educational psychology, social psychology, organizational industrial psychology, clinical psychology and developmental psychology. This research method conducted interviews and observations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Burnout terhadap Turnover intention pada karyawan pabrik di Kota Medan. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pengaruh Burnout terhadap Turnover intention pada karyawan pabrik di Kota Medan. Dalam penelitian ini jumlah sampel yang dilihat dengan menggunakan tabel penentuan sampel yang dikembangkan oleh Isaac dan Michael dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Maka jumlah sampel yang digunakan berdasarkan tabel adalah 349 karyawan pabrik di Kota Medan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan design penelitian regresi linear sederhana. Variabel bebas (X) adalah Burnout dan variabel terikat (Y) adalah Turnover intention. Skala Skala Burnout disusun berdasarkan aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Maslach 2001 dan skala Turnover intention dikemukakan oleh Mobley 1986. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh koefisien regresi linear dengan nilai (r = 444) dan (p) = 0.000 (p<0,05). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima yakni terdapat pengaruh antara Burnout terhadap Turnover intention yang artinya, semakin tinggi atau naik satu satuan tingkat Burnout maka semakin tinggi tingkat Turnover intention yang dialami karyawan.
