Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Influence of Self-Efficacy on Career Decision Making in Final Year Students in Medan City. Based on the results of research on the influence of self-efficacy on career decision making in final year students in Medan City, the following conclusions can be drawn: The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between self-efficacy on career decision making in final year students who are working on their thesis in Medan City with a positive correlation, which means that if the better the self-efficacy, the better the career decision making in final year students who are working on their thesis in Medan City. The categorization results show that most final year students in Medan City have self-efficacy and career decision making abilities in the medium to high category. The results of the study show a significant difference between male and female students in terms of self-efficacy and career decision making. Female students tend to have higher self-efficacy, with dominance in the medium and high categories, and show better career decision making abilities than men. This indicates that women are more confident and persistent in planning their academic and professional future. This study shows that self-efficacy has a positive influence on career decision-making, contributing 42.8%, while other factors contribute 57.2%. These results demonstrate the importance of self-efficacy in improving career decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between organizational commitment and productivity in employees at PT X. Organizational commitment is one of the important factors that can affect business productivity. Highly committed employees tend to be more loyal, motivated and contribute optimally to achieve organizational goals. In this study, the quantitative method used by the survey method, where the questionnaire was distributed to 110 answers selected by the researcher. The data obtained were then analyzed using a statistical correlation test to measure the level of relationship between the two variables. The results of the study showed a value of 0.816, indicating a positive and significant relationship between organizational commitment and employee productivity. In other words, the higher the commitment to the organization, the more productivity can be achieved. Based on these results, it is recommended that companies improve strategies in creating employee commitment, such as through career development, reward systems and creating a supportive work environment

Abstract

Studi menunjukkan bahwa FoMO (Fear of Missing Out) berdampak pada Nomophobia (No Mobile Phone Phobia). Peneliti bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara FoMO dan nomophobia serta faktor-faktor terkait. Desain penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan pemilihan sampel berupa purposive sampling. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 348 mahasiswa dari 10 universitas berbeda di Medan yang telah mengisi kuesioner menggunakan skala Likert. Uji analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa FoMO memengaruhi terjadinya Nomophobia di kalangan mahasiswa di Medan (R2 = 0,417, F = 247,38, P = 0,000). Ini berarti bahwa FoMO, sebagai variabel prediktor, memiliki pengaruh sebesar 41,7% terhadap terjadinya Nomophobia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Family Support Terhadap Kebahagiaan Pada Remaja Akhir Di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai Pengaruh Family Support terhadap Kebahagiaan pada Remaja Akhir di Kota Medan, dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi sederhana yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), yang menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis peneliti (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Sehingga analisisnya menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dukungan keluarga yang diterima, semakin tinggi pula kebahagiaan yang dirasakan. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,315 mengindikasikan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh sebesar 31,5% terhadap kebahagiaan, sementara 68,5% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Family support yang mencakup dukungan informasional, penilaian, instrumental, dan emosional yang masing-masing membantu remaja menghadapi persoalan hidup, meningkatkan percaya diri, meringankan beban praktis, serta memberi rasa aman dan kasih sayang, sehingga bersama-sama membentuk kebahagiaan yang lebih stabil. Analisis data demografis memperlihatkan bahwa faktor usia, lamanya berdomisili, dan suku turut memengaruhi variasi skor kebahagiaan. Remaja usia 20–21 tahun, mereka yang telah lama berdomisili di Medan, serta responden dengan latar budaya kolektivistik (misalnya suku Batak) cenderung melaporkan tingkat kebahagiaan yang lebih tinggi. Aspek family support yang paling dominan berpengaruh adalah dukungan emosional, sementara aspek kebahagiaan yang paling menonjol adalah hubungan positif dengan orang lain dan optimisme realistis. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa relasi hangat dalam keluarga dan sikap optimis merupakan kunci utama dalam menciptakan kebahagiaan remaja akhir

Abstract

Students often face various challenges in their academic and social lives, such as academic pressure, uncertainty about the future, and social and economic demands. These challenges can affect students' mental health. During the course of their studies, psychological well-being becomes highly important, as it relates to how satisfied individuals are with their lives, whether they have a clear sense of purpose, and how well they manage stress and emotions. This study aims to examine the effect of self-compassion on psychological well-being among university students in North Sumatra. The research used a quantitative method, with stratified cluster sampling as the sampling technique. The sample consisted of 202 active students from public and private universities across the province of North Sumatra. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS for Windows 20. The instruments used were the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) by Neff and Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scales (PWB-42). The regression analysis showed a positive and significant effect of self-compassion on psychological well-being (p < 0.05), accounting for 43% of the variance. The level of self-compassion among active university students in North Sumatra was in the moderate category (49%), as was their psychological well-being (60.9%). The findings indicate that the higher the level of self-compassion, the higher the level of psychological well-being among students. This study highlights the importance of developing self-compassion as an effort to enhance students’ psychological well-being. Mahasiswa banyak menghadapi tantangan dalam kehidupan akademik dan sosial, seperti tekanan akademik, ketidakpastian masa depan, dan tuntutan sosial dan ekonomi. Tantangan-tantangan ini dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan mental mahasiswa. Ketika mengikuti proses perkuliahan, kesejahteraan psikologis menjadi sangat penting karena berkaitan dengan seberapa puas seseorang dengan hidupnya, memiliki tujuan yang jelas, dan mampu mengelola stres dan emosi dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-compassion terhadap psychological well-being pada mahasiswa di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Stratified Cluster Sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 202 orang mahasiswa yang merupakan mahasiswa aktif dari PTN dan PTS yang tersebar di provinsi Sumatera Utara. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS for Windows 23. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) oleh neff dan Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scales (PWB-42). Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan self-compassion terhadap psychological well-being (p < 0,05) sebesar 43%. Self-compassion pada mahasiswa aktif Sumatera Utara berada pada kategori sedang (49%). Psychological Well-Being pada mahasiswa aktif Sumatera Utara berada pada kategori sedang (60,9%). Semakin tinggi tingkat self-compassion, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat psychological well-being mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya mengembangkan self-compassion dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Dukungan Sosial Dengan Adaptabilitas Karier Pada Fresh Graduates Di Kota Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey secara kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini populasinya adalah mahasiswa yang baru lulus maksimal dua tahun dari perguruan tinggi (fresh graduates) dengan rentang usia 22-28 tahun di Kota Medan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kombinasi metode probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang dikembangkan dalam bentuk skala psikologi. Data penelitian ini diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan statistic inferensial. Analisis deskriptif dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan variable penelitian sedangkan analisis inferensial dilakukan dengan menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan uji analisis sederhana. Sebelum dilakukan pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji asumsi yaitu uji normalitas dan uji linearitas dan dilanjutkan uji hipotesis data. 1. Terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara variabel Dukungan Sosial terhadap Adaptabilitas Karir pada fresh graduates di kota medan, yaitu semakin tinggi Dukungan Sosial maka akan meningkatkan Adaptabilitas Karir pada fresh graduates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Komitmen Organisasi terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior Pada Karyawan PT. Toba Pulp Lestari. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pengaruh Komitmen Organisasi terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior Karyawan PT. Toba Pulp Lestari. Dalam penelitian ini jumlah sampel digunakan adalah 243 karyawan PT. Toba Pulp Lestari. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan design penelitian regresi linear sederhana. Variabel bebas (X) adalah Komitmen Organisasi dan variabel terikat (Y) adalah Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Skala komitmen organisasi disusun berdasarkan aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Allen & Meyer (1990) dan skala OCB dikemukakan oleh Organ dkk (2009). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh koefisien regresi linear dengan nilai (r = 0.019) dan (p) = 0.034 (p<0,05). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima yakni terdapat pengaruh antara komitmen organisasi terhadap OCB yang artinya, semakin tinggi atau naik satu satuan tingkat komitmen organisasi maka semakin tinggi tingkat OCB yang dimiliki karyawa.

Abstract

Parmalim is a belief in the Mulajadi Debate of Na Bolon, and this doctrine has existed since ancient times. As adherents of religious beliefs, parmalim adherents often receive different treatment from the society.  The study aims to understand and describe the influence of religiousity on the psychological well-being of the Parmalin community in North Sumatra. This research uses quantitative research methods. Sampling techniques in this study are non-random sampling with purposive sampling techniques. The research sample consisted of 78 people from the Parmalim Community in North Sumatra who had adhered to the Parmalim belief system for at least 11 years. Data collection was directly to the participants at Parmalim’s place of worship in Medan, and by online. Data analysis using a double linear regression test with the help of SPSS for Windows 17 The method of data collection using a psychological scale is the scale of Religiousness and the psychological well-being scale.  The psychological scale used is the Religiosity scale and the Psychological Well-Being scale. In this study, religiosity was measured using The Centrality of Religiosity Scale-15 (CRS-15) while Psychological well-being used The Scales of Psychological Well-being. The results of this study found that there was a positive influence of religion on psychological well-being among Parmalim believers, the contribution is 25.9%. Religiosity in the Parmalim Community is in the high category (85.9%).  Psychological well-being in supporters of parmalim beliefs is mostly in the high category of 68%, where individuals with high psychological wellness are able to be warm in relationships with others, have empathy, have a purpose in life and understand the principle of giving and receiving in a relationship.Parmalim merupakan sebuah  aliran kepercayaan terhadap Debata Mulajadi Na Bolon dan ajaran ini sudah ada sejak dahulu kala. Sebagai penganut aliran kepercayaan, para penganut parmalim seringkali mendapatkan perlakuan yang berbeda dari lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh religiusitas terhadap Psychological Well-Being Komunitas Parmalin di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah non random sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 78 orang dari Komunitas Parmalim di Sumatera Utara yang telah menganut aliran kepercayaan Parmalim minimal 11 tahun.  Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara langsung di 2 rumah ibadat Parmalim di Medan dan melalui online. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear berganda bantuan SPSS for Windows 17. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala psikologi, Skala psikologi yang digunakan adalah skala Religiusitas dan skala Psychological Well-Being. Dalam penelitian ini Religiusitas diukur menggunakan The Centrality of Religiosity Scale-15 (CRS-15) sementara Psychological well-being menggunakan skala The Scales of Psychological Well-being. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa ada pengaruh positif religiusitas terhadap psychological well -being pada penganut kepercayaan parmalim yaitu sebesar 25.9%. Religiusitas pada Komunitas Parmalim berada pada kategori tinggi (85.9 %). Psychological well-being pada penganut kepercayaan parmalim kebanyakan berada pada kategori tinggi yaitu 68%, dimana individu dengan psychological well-being tinggi mampu bersikap hangat dalam berhubungan dengan orang lain, memiliki empati, memiliki tujuan hidup dan memahami prinsip memberi dan menerima di dalam suatu hubungan.

Abstract

Having children is a blessing. Because the case may be different for children born with special needs conditions. What comes is emotional feelings such as anger, sadness, disappointment, and not accepting it. In this condition, the father has a significant impact on the development of the child. However, due to the child's condition, it becomes a challenge for the father to adjust. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social support and Batak values on self-acceptance in fathers who have children with special needs (ABK). The research method used is a quantitative approach using data analysis techniques, namely multiple linear regression analysis by applying SPSS 22 with independent variables, social support and Batak values, and dependent variables, namely self-acceptance. The study sample consisted of 44 fathers who had ABK, using purposive sampling techniques.  The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the application of SPSS 22.  The results showed that social support and Batak values negatively affect the acceptance of fathers who have children with special needs, which means that the higher the social support and Batak values, the lower the acceptance of fathers. Keywords: Self-acceptance, Social Support, Batak Values, Children with Special Needs

Abstract

The Batak Toba family adheres to a patrilineal family system, where couples are expected to have sons to continue the clan. Batak parents who do not have sons often feel stressed, anxious and depressed. This research aims to examine the influence of gratitude and social support on the psychological well-being of Batak Toba parents who do not have sons. A total of 50 Batak Toba fathers and mothers who did not have sons were the research sample. Data collection was carried out through online and offline questionnaires. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlation design, and data analysis uses multiple linear analysis with SPSS 22. The findings of this research show that gratitude has a positive effect on the psychological well-being of Batak Toba parents who do not have sons, this result strengthens existing literature. These results can also encourage policies to create mental health services and social programs that support them and reduce the stigma against Batak parents who do not have sons.
