Abstract

This study addresses a significant issue concerning the doubts raised by modern Arab writers about the authenticity of the Prophetic Sunnah, particularly their claim that fabricated Hadiths have been mixed with authentic ones. These allegations, presented as original ideas by their proponents, in reality, heavily rely on Orientalist studies. The importance of this study lies in defending the integrity of the Prophetic Sunnah and demonstrating the methodology developed by Hadith scholars for its preservation. The research aims to explore these claims, trace their origins, and provide a scholarly response based on strong foundations. The main challenge is to uncover these misconceptions and clarify that the Sunnah has been meticulously preserved. The study adopts a historical, analytical, and critical approach, examining the claims of fabrication, the foundations they rely on, and the origins of their proponents' ideas, while providing a critique of them. The key findings reveal that these modern criticisms lack robust evidence and are primarily based on Orientalist sources, often marked by intellectual dishonesty. Furthermore, the research demonstrates that Hadith scholars have accurately identified and classified fabricated Hadiths, ensuring the authenticity and preservation of the Prophetic Sunnah.

Abstract

The importance of this topic lies in the role of religious awareness in promoting ethical values among individuals and communities, and its profound impact on shaping social and moral concepts that contribute to building a stable society. Therefore, this research aims to explore the impact of religious awareness on individuals' behaviours and perceptions of ethical values, as well as how various media contribute to reinforcing these values. The research problem revolves around the following question: Can religious awareness bring about a real and tangible change in individuals' behaviours and perceptions towards ethical values in the contemporary world? The methodology followed in this research is descriptive and analytical, where we examined the verses and prophetic sayings related to the topic in order to explore their meanings and implications for protecting individuals and communities psychologically, physically, socially, economically, and politically. Data collection was also carried out through questionnaires and surveys to determine the impact of religious awareness on individuals' ethical values. The key findings show that religious awareness plays a pivotal role in enhancing ethical values. It was confirmed that individuals exposed to religious content adopt more positive behaviours and values in their daily lives. Additionally, various media outlets, such as religious speeches and videos, significantly contribute to shaping and changing moral attitudes. In conclusion, the research highlights the importance of religious guidance as an effective tool in achieving moral change and enhancing values within society.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores Islamic architecture as a holistic civilizational product shaped by the intricate interplay of religious, social, political, economic, and environmental factors. Rather than being a mere stylistic or aesthetic tradition, Islamic architecture is positioned as a dynamic expression of the Muslim Ummah’s identity and its contextual interactions. The research aims to analyze how these diverse factors have contributed to the development of a distinct architectural language and to evaluate the extent of influence from earlier civilizations, such as the Roman and Byzantine without compromising core Islamic values. The central research question investigates whether Islamic architecture can authentically represent Muslim identity and serve as a viable foundation for contemporary architectural practice. Employing an analytical and critical methodology, the study examines various architectural models within their historical and cultural contexts. The findings reveal that Islamic architecture reflects a balanced civilizational consciousness, integrating functionality with aesthetic and spiritual values. Moreover, it presents environmentally responsive and ethically grounded alternatives that can inform and enrich modern architectural development.

Abstract

Abstract This study explores the evolution of mosque architecture in Islamic civilization by analyzing its structural elements, functional roles, and symbolic meanings. It emphasizes the mosque’s significance not only as a place of worship but also as a central social and urban institution within Islamic society. Despite centuries of architectural change, the mosque has preserved its unique identity and spiritual essence. Drawing on selected examples from the Islamic East, the Maghrib, and al-Andalus, the study examines defining features such as domes, minarets, Mihrabs, Minbars, and ornamental details. The core question addresses how Islamic architecture has remained rooted in religious principles while interacting with a range of cultural and artistic influences. Employing a descriptive and comparative approach, the research contends that mosque architecture represents a dynamic tradition—firmly anchored in Islamic values yet adaptive to historical shifts and regional contexts, reflecting the civilization’s openness to other cultures without compromising its distinctive identity.
