Abstract

Hospitals are vital health facilities that aim to improve public health by providing high-quality health services. This study aims to evaluate nurses' compliance in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in hospitals as an effort to prevent nosocomial infections. Through a literature review of various studies between 2021-2024, it was found that nurse compliance was influenced by knowledge, attitudes and availability of PPE. Good knowledge and positive attitudes towards PPE, as well as adequate accessibility of PPE, have been proven to increase nurse compliance. In addition, demographic characteristics such as age, gender, education, and years of service also influence compliance levels. In conclusion, improving compliance requires a multifactorial approach that includes continuing education, adequate facilities, and close supervision. Implementation of this strategy is important to prevent nosocomial infections and improve the quality of health services in hospitals.

Abstract

Mining is a crucial sector in the global economy, yet it faces high risks and serious potential hazards for workers. According to statistical data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the number of mining accidents in 2023 increased significantly compared to 2021 and previous years, totaling 217 incidents. Therefore, the effective implementation of occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS) is necessary to protect worker safety and health. The purpose of this writing is to review the implementation of occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS) in mining companies, covering policy establishment, K3 planning, K3 plan execution, K3 performance monitoring and evaluation, as well as review and enhancement of OHSMS performance. This review employs a Literature Study method, sourcing data and articles from Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. Based on the literature study, the analysis of Occupational Health and Safety Management System implementation reveals that, on average, mining companies have their own policies established. Regarding K3 planning, each company has its own K3 planning strategy. However, the execution of K3 plans shows varying levels of implementation across different companies. In terms of performance monitoring and evaluation, companies assess K3 performance using specific indicators and undertake necessary improvements. Finally, review and performance enhancement efforts are undertaken for continuous improvement.

Abstract

. Implementing a culture of safety or safe work in oil palm plantations is very difficult for the workforce, especially those with low education. The palm oil industry faces many risks, including heat exposure, heavy workloads, exposure to hazardous chemicals, fires, and accidents due to heavy equipment. OHS is still seen as a cost and not an investment to prevent work accidents in companies or industries. The purpose of this study was to summarize the journal and find important information about the implementation of OSH in palm oil mills. In writing this journal, a literature review approach was used. The journals used in this study came from journals accessed through Google Schoolar. Abstract

The number of workplace accidents in Indonesia continues to increase every year. In 2019, there were 210,789 cases of workplace accidents, which rose to 221,740 cases in 2020, and further increased to 234,370 cases in 2021. The welding process involves various risks of workplace accidents that may occur at different stages. Starting from selecting and moving products, workers can be scratched by materials or even hit by them. The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a relationship between knowledge and workplace accidents among welding workshop workers using a qualitative method. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between an individual's knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices and their performance in the work environment. The better the welders' knowledge of OHS, in terms of basic knowledge, understanding of concepts, and application in the field, the lower the risk of workplace accidents.

Abstract

There are a number of challenges facing Indonesia's Community Health Center Management Information System (SIMPUS) adoption. The application of SIMPUS is hampered by a number of variables, according to earlier studies. The purpose of this study is to investigate the barriers to SIMPUS implementation, as demonstrated by Indonesian Community Health Centers. This study is a literature review that utilizes secondary data from publications published in the Google Scholar database between 2018 and 2023 and is relevant to the topic of discussion. The results showed that there were 892 articles that matched the search terms, but 871 articles were excluded because they were duplicates, could not be accessed in full paper form, did not match the topic, exceeded the specified year, or were indicated as assignments/thesis/dissertation. This left 24 articles to be tested for eligibility, which resulted in 17 articles that passed the feasibility test and would undergo narrative synthesis. Analysis shows that obstacles to implementing SIMPUS in Indonesia are caused by various factors including technology, infrastructure, human resources, policies and management support, as well as benefits.

Abstract

Health Information Systems (HIS) are a crucial element in improving the efficiency and accuracy of medical services in community health centers. This study aims to analyze the impact of HIS implementation on the quality of healthcare services, using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The analysis process involved identifying 300 relevant articles through academic databases, such as Taylor and Francis and Scopus, which were then selected into 10 primary articles based on inclusion criteria. This study explored the impact of HIS on service efficiency, data accuracy, and evidence-based decision-making. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of HIS, such as the Community Health Center Management Information System (SIMPUS) and web-based applications, significantly contributes to accelerating services, reducing patient waiting times, and increasing user satisfaction. However, challenges such as limited human resources, inadequate technological infrastructure, and the complexity of data management remain major obstacles. System integration, such as bridging systems, and the development of web-based applications have proven effective in addressing some of these obstacles. This study concludes that HIS has a positive impact on improving the quality of healthcare services in community health centers, although its implementation requires better infrastructure support and human resource training. Technological integration and innovation efforts are key to optimizing the benefits of HIS in supporting efficient, patient-centered healthcare services.
