Abstract

This study explores the role of Muhammad Arsyad Thalib Lubis in Islamic education and the organization of Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah in North Sumatra between 1930-1972. This study uses historical methods to reconstruct events related to Muhammad Arsyad Talib Lubis and his influence on the development of Islamic education. Data was collected through literature studies and interviews. The results showed that Muhammad Arsyad Talib Lubis, who was born in Stabat, Langkat, in 1908, had played an essential role in establishing Al Washliyah University and developing Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah from a debating club into an influential educational organization. Lubis died on July 6, 1972, but his legacy and principles still live among Al Washliyah's disciples and the wider community.

Abstract

ABSTACT This Community Service Activity is an activity based on community assistance to write and produce a local history product for its own environment. This is based on an analysis of the situation and needs of the people who do not have historical records and only rely on memories. The method used is service learning, which is divided into two activities that are synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous consists of delivering material and presentations, while asynchronous is in the form of guidance on writing Karawang toponyms. The participants who took part in this Community Service Activity were 62 history teachers who produced a history book on the toponym of Karawang. The results of this dedication show that history teachers have a strong interest in toponymy or local history. The process of finding sources, both literature study and field visits, provides an experience of researching history that strengthens soft skills in historical research. ABSTRAK Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah sebuah kegiatan yang berbasis pendampingan masyarakat untuk menulis dan menghasilkan sebuah produk sejarah lokal lingkungannya sendiri. Hal ini didasarkan atas sebuah analisis situasi kebutuhan masyarakat yang belum memiliki catatan sejarahnya dan hanya mengandalkan ingatan saja. Metode yang digunakan adalah service learning yang terbagi menjadi dua kegiatan yaitu synchronous dan asynchronous. Anchronous terdiri atas penyampaian materi dan presentasi, sedangkan asynchronous berupa bimbingan penulisan toponim karawang. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan PkM ini adalah sebanyak 62 guru sejarah yang menghasilkan sebuah buku sejarah mengenai toponim Karawang. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa para guru sejarah memiliki ketertarikan yang kuat terhadap toponimi atau sejarah local. Proses pencarian sumber, baik study literatur dan kunjungan lapangan, memberikan sebuah pengalaman meneliti sejarah yang memperkuat sofskill dalam penelitian sejarah.

Abstract

In the Merdeka curriculum, local history is one of the essential materials. One of the most critical periods in local history in Malang is the cultuurstelsel period, but currently, there are no teaching materials about this period. HIMO is a printed local history module about the cultuurstelsel period with media integration that allows students to various conditions (regular and inclusive). This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of HIMO in improving local history understanding and learning motivation. This research method is R&D using the ADDIE model. In the analysis stage, the researcher analyzed student needs and the curriculum, which was continued with the design stage. In the development stage, HIMO was declared very feasible by material experts (average score of 98%) and teaching materials experts (average score of 89%) with several revisions. Furthermore, the implementation stage was carried out in an inclusive school in Malang (101 students as subjects) with research instruments in the form of comprehension tests and learning motivation questionnaires. Based on the implementation results, it was found that HIMO can improve understanding (94% of students) and learning motivation (average score 77%). Based on these results, at the evaluation stage, HIMO was declared suitable as local history teaching material for inclusive schools.

Abstract

The Israeli Palestinian conflict that has seized the world community until now continues. How will the Balfour Declaration be considered as the trigger for the onset of the Palestinian Israeli conflict occur? The Ottoman Turks ruled Palestine for quite a long time, having to give their territory to Britain in 1917 due to the defeat of the Ottoman Turks when the war broke out. It is beneficial for Jews who want the Palestinian territory as a National Home called Israel. Evidenced by the existence of the Balfour Declaration in England which was officially declared on November 2, 1917. For Jews with the existence of this Balfour Declaration beneficial, the article this Declaration promised the Jews to be able to establish a homeland in Palestine. Konflik Israel Palestina yang menyita masyarakat dunia hingga saat ini terus berlanjut. Akan diurakan bagaimana Deklarasi Balfour yang dianggap sebagai pemicu awal mula konflik Israel Palestina terjadi. Turki Utsmani menguasai Palestina begitu cukup lama, harus memberikan wilayah kekuasaannya kepada Inggris pada 1917 dikarenakan kekalahan Turki Utsmani ketika perang terjadi. Hal yang menguntungkan bagi kaum yahudi yang menginginkan wilayah Palestina sebagai National Home yang bernama Israel. Terbukti dengan adanya Deklarasi Balfour di Inggris yang resmi dideklarasikan pada 02 November 1917. Bagi Yahudi dengan adanya Deklarasi Balfour ini menguntungkan, pasalnya Deklarasi ini menjanjikan kaum Yahudi untuk dapat mendirikan tanah air di Palestina.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sejarah Kampung Lio yang berada di Kelurahan Depok, Kecamatan Pancoran Mas. Kampung Lio merupakan kampung yang memiliki sejarah yang menarik dan merupakan salah satu bukti dari eksistensi Kaum Belanda-Depok yang sudah masyhur dari tahun 1700-an. Kampung Lio ketika Pemerintah Hindia-Belanda masih berkuasa, merupakan salah satu wilayah yang sangat terkenal akan kualitas produk turunan tanah liatnya. Wilayah ini dalam Bahasa Belanda dikenal dengan nama Depoksche-Steenbakerij. Produk yang dihasilkan di dalamnya meliputi lantai atau ubin, genteng, batu-bata, kendi hingga tembikar. Namun karena terjadi modernisasi dalam struktur bangunan, berkembang teknologi pembuatan bata serta mulai meledaknya populasi masyarakat di sekitarnya, secara perlahan Kampung Lio mulai tergusur akan kebutuhan primer manusia, yaitu tempat tinggal.

Abstract

This article describes the implementation of differentiated learning in history subjects at SMAN 23 Tangerang Regency. This research method uses qualitative methods, with a single case study strategy. The research method in this study is a qualitative method. The validity of the data used in this research uses triangulation of data sources and methods. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews, observation and document study. Research results: First, the history teacher's learning planning has prepared and implemented a history module that uses a differentiated learning approach. Second, implementation of learning, history teachers apply learning in the form of differentiation of content, processes and products for material on ancestral origins, four theories of ancestral origins, and their relationship to current Indonesian society. Third, learning evaluation, teachers use assessments based on cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Fourth, the impact of differentiated learning in history subjects is improving critical and creative thinking skills in history learning. Fifth, the obstacles experienced are inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and also insufficient learning time.

Abstract

Penerapan “Kurikulum Merdeka” di sekolah menekankan bahwa pembelajaran sejarah memegang peranan penting dalam menumbuhkembangkan, menilai, dan melatih keterampilan peserta didik. Akan tetapi, pembelajaran sejarah hanya dengan menggunakan buku paket sekolah yang hanya menyajikan narasi dan gambar, sedangkan pemanfaatan seperti koleksi-koleksi di museum kurang begitu maksimal digunakan oleh guru sejarah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memahami pemanfaatan Museum Balaputra Dewa oleh guru sejarah sebagai implementasi “Kurikulum Merdeka” pada pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka melalui jurnal, dan dokumen-dokumen. Analisis menggunakan tiga komponen, yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa “Kurikulum Merdeka” telah memberikan ruang yang luas bagi guru sejarah untuk menggunakan berbagai sumber belajar sejarah termasuk pemanfaatan museum sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah. Upaya guru memanfaatkan Museum Balaputra Dewa sebagai sumber belajar dilakukan melalui koleksi-koleksi peninggalan sejarah masa lampau di Sumatra Selatan, yakni zaman prasejarah dan pra-Sriwijaya. Hal ini disesuaikan dengan materi sejarah kelas X Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di semester ganjil. Peserta didik diajak berkunjung ke museum sebagai upaya untuk mendalami pemahaman belajar sejarah. Setelah kunjungan ke museum, peserta didik lebih antusias belajar Sejarah, karena mereka mendapatkan berbagai informasi sejarah yang tidak ada dalam buku paket sekolah.The “Merdeka Curriculum” implementation in schools emphasizes that history learning plays an important role in developing, assessing, and training students' skills; however, history education only uses textbooks that present narratives and pictures. This research aims to understand history teachers' use of the Balaputra Dewa Museum to implement the "Merdeka Curriculum" in history learning at school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and literature studies through journals and documents. The analysis uses three components, i.e. data condensation, data presentation, and conclusions or further verification. Research results indicate that the "Merdeka Curriculum" has provided ample space for history teachers to use various history education resources including using museums as a medium for history learning. The history teachers use the Balaputra Dewa Museum as a learning resource and adapt to the history material for class X Social Sciences during the odd semester. After visiting the museum, students became more enthusiastic about learning history, because they received various historical information not provided in school textbooks.
