Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kemampuan siswa kelas X SMAN 5 Padang dalam menulis teks deskriptif dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan tersebut, khususnya minat membaca dan penguasaan kosakata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen untuk memperoleh data yang komprehensif. Hasilnya menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks deskriptif, dengan skor berkisar antara 25 hingga 100. Beberapa siswa menunjukkan pemahaman dan keterampilan menulis yang sangat baik, sementara yang lain mengalami kesulitan. Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa metode pengajaran langsung dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa, namun diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih individual dan adaptif untuk mengakomodasi perbedaan kemampuan siswa. Faktor-faktor seperti kurangnya minat membaca, kurangnya kosakata, dan pengaruh teknologi juga mempengaruhi kemampuan menulis siswa

Abstract

Teaching materials that are less relevant to the needs of students can affect the effectiveness of learning, so it is necessary to develop teaching materials according to the needs of students to achieve learning objectives. This study aims to describe the feasibility of teaching materials for job application letter writing guidebooks with a content and language integrated learning (CLIL) approach and a problem based learning (PBL) model, analyze the effectiveness, and practicality of student responses to teaching materials for guidebooks. This type of research is research and development (Research & Development) with the 4D model from Thiagarajan which includes define, design, develop, and disseminate. Product validity instruments were obtained from material experts, language experts, and design experts. The study showed (1) the feasibility of developing a "very valid" guidebook based on the average assessment results from the validator of 84.29%, namely material validity of 93.75%, language validity of 82.14%, and design validity of 77%. (2) The effectiveness of the teaching materials of the guidebook shows an average learning response of the experimental class of 86.90% (3) The teaching materials of the guidebook are considered practical because they are able to make it easier for students and support the learning process based on the results of the study, the student response was 85.39% with the criteria of "very practical". Based on the results of the percentage of teaching materials of the guidebook for writing job application letters with the content and language integrated learning (CLIL) approach and the effective problem based learning (PBL) model, it was stated as "very suitable" as a learning resource for students.

Abstract

Tujuan artikel ini untuk mengetahui seberapa efektifnya siswa kelas X SMA Pertiwi Padang dalam menjawab soal. Tulisan ini juga menguraikan angket kebutuhan siswa untuk mengetahui apakah siswa SMA 1 Pertiwi Padang kelas X E 7 memahami teks negosiasi dengan lebih baik atau masih terdapat kesenjangan pemahamannya terhadap materi. Sebuah perundingan yang terjadi di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif, pengumpulan data melalui observasi terhadap kegiatan negosiasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa sebagian besar siswa kelas X E 7 SMA 1 Pertiwi Padang dapat mengidentifikasi dan menjelaskan unsur- unsur tersebut dengan baik, meskipun terdapat beberapa kesalahan dalam memahami langkah-langkah negosiasi.

Abstract

Assessment in education is very important to determine the achievement of educational goals, with continuous evaluation referring to comprehensive results. One of the assessment domains is the cognitive domain, which measures students' mastery of knowledge and critical thinking abilities, including problem solving. This research examines instruments for assessing cognitive learning outcomes in description and objective tests through literature study, using references from books, journals and related government regulatory documents. The research results show that the cognitive domain includes mental activities that focus on the ability to connect and combine various ideas or methods to solve problems. Written objective tests, which consist of true-false, multiple choice, matching, and complete/short answer, are important for accurately measuring cognitive aspects in the learning process.
