Abstract

The era of 5.0 has had an impact that is not entirely good, even advances in information and technology have become one of the causes of moral degradation in children. If this is allowed to continue, a younger generation will emerge who are intellectually superior but weak morally. This is at the same time an indicator of the failure of the world of education, because the ultimate goal of education is to create a moral generation. For this reason, efforts to anticipate moral degradation in children as a result of the 5.0 era must be carried out, including through the reconstruction of children's education in Islam. This study aims to offer readers a formulation of children's education in Islam in the era of society 5.0 through the integration of the thoughts of two Indonesian Muslim scholars, namely M. Quraish Shihab and Buya Hamka. This research is a qualitative research type which is library research by making a systematic review as a research approach. The findings illustrate that children's education in Islam in the 5.0 era can be done through four things, namely: First, strengthening the goal of creating humans as servants. Second, the strengthening of gratitude which is implemented in the spirit of talabul 'ilmi. Third, aqidah or monotheism education about the Oneness of Allah must be instilled from an early age. Fourth, the cultivation of good morals, especially devotion to parents and also to others and the environment, is used as the direction of children's education in Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the curricula of NU and Muhammadiyah educational institutions, focusing on their contributions to supporting moderate Islamic education. The research was conducted in Central Java, Indonesia, using a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques included classroom observations, in-depth interviews with school principals and teachers, as well as an analysis of curriculum documents and teaching materials. The findings reveal fundamental differences and similarities between the two curricula. NU's curriculum is rooted in the concept of "Islam Nusantara," emphasizing the integration of Islamic teachings with local culture and national identity, fostering harmony with state principles such as Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah's curriculum is based on the concept of "Progressive Islam," prioritizing modernity and incorporating contemporary sciences and social issues into the educational framework. This comparative analysis concludes that both educational institutions significantly contribute to shaping moderate Islamic perspectives through their curricula. The NU curriculum focuses on cultural preservation and religious harmony, while the Muhammadiyah curriculum emphasizes innovation and progress, aligning Islamic education with modern global challenges. This study highlights the potential of these curricula as frameworks to address socio-religious challenges, foster peace, and counter radicalism in Indonesia.

Abstract

Alkaline processing of Bangka monazite is carried out through stages like decomposition; partial dissolution pH 3.7; partial precipitation pH 6.3; and total precipitation pH 9.8. These procesess produce sodium phosphate, Rare Earth (RE) Hydroxide, uranium (U), and thorium (Th). On decomposition procsess, 99 % of sodium phosphate had been recovered and RE Hydroxide was separated from U and Th with 85% recovery. Meanwhile, the U and Th products were still mixed so that needs to separate. Purification of Th from U in monazite had been carried out by using Solvent Impregnated Resin (SIR) method and continued by elution after SIR. The result is that Th is still in the liquid phase as thorium nitrate [Th(NO3)2] solution so it needs to be precipitated as thorium hydroxide [Th(OH)2] to facilitate the next process. Precipitation of Th after SIR process is conducted with the aim to obtain optimum precipitation condition. The supporting resin used is amberlite XAD-16 with impregnated tributyl phosphate (TBP) extractant, dilute nitric acid (HNO3) as elution reagent, and ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) as precipitation reagent. The observed parameters are the effect of pH and precipitation time on Th recovery. The results show that the optimum precipitation conditions of Th from monazite after SIR process is on pH 1.2 and 60 minutes time, resulting recovery of 84.74 % Th, 3.26 % U, 34,74 % RE, and 8.52 % PO4.

Abstract

Arabic language learning holds significant urgency in the context of understanding Islamic teachings, as the Qur'an and Hadith—the primary sources of Islam—are conveyed in Arabic. However, learning Arabic as a foreign language often presents challenges for beginners (mubtadi’) due to the complexity of grammar (nahwu and sharf), unique phonetic systems, and substantial linguistic and cultural differences. This study aims to analyze Arabic language learning strategies based on daily routines as an alternative approach that is more contextual and natural. The research employed a library research method by collecting and synthesizing previous studies published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that integrating daily religious routines (daily prayers, dzikir, greetings), social routines (simple conversations and greetings), and learning routines (listening to murottal and writing short journals) effectively strengthens vocabulary, enhances listening skills (maharah istima’) and speaking skills (maharah kalam), and fosters consistent learning habits. Supporting strategies such as self-directed learning (SDL), contextual learning, and natural exposure also play a crucial role in promoting independent and contextualized learning. Nevertheless, these strategies face challenges, including the need for teachers’ creativity, technical skills in utilizing digital media, and learners’ commitment to consistent practice. This study recommends developing humanistic and applicative teaching methods based on daily routines to support Arabic language acquisition for beginners.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of Deep Learning in Islamic education, particularly in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) institutions, as an integrative effort to develop the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students. This study uses a qualitative method with a Literature Review approach, analyzing various recent findings from SINTA journals and other academic sources to explain the concepts, principles, and implementation of Deep Learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The results of the study show that the three main principles of Mindful Learning, Meaningful Learning, and Joyful Learning play a significant role in building a more reflective, contextual, and enjoyable learning process. The application of Deep Learning in Islamic educational institutions not only strengthens the internalization of religious values but also improves students' critical thinking skills, learning motivation, and social-emotional skills. Additionally, this approach has been proven to have a positive impact on learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, making it suitable for strengthening the quality of PAI learning in madrasahs.

Abstract

This study analyzes the comparative teaching methods used in Islamic education, focusing on Islamic secondary schools and pesantren in Indonesia. Using a literature review approach, the research examines academic books, journal articles, and educational reports to identify the characteristics, strengths, and limitations of both traditional and modern teaching methods. The findings indicate that traditional methods are effective in strengthening students’ understanding of classical religious texts, cultivating discipline, and preserving Islamic scholarly traditions. However, these methods provide limited support for the development of critical thinking and creativity. In contrast, modern teaching methods enhance student motivation, active engagement, and the ability to relate learning materials to real-life contexts and the demands of the digital era, although their implementation is often hindered by technological limitations and teachers’ competencies. Overall, the study concludes that both methods demonstrate distinct forms of effectiveness and complement one another. Integrating traditional and modern approaches is therefore considered the most relevant strategy for developing Islamic education that is comprehensive, adaptive, and aligned with contemporary educational needs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of deepened learning of the Qur’an and Hadith and its impact on enhancing religious literacy and character formation among students at SMPN 1 Patamuan, West Sumatra. The background of the research arises from the low interest in reading the Qur’an, limited understanding of Hadith, and the insufficient internalization of moral values in students’ daily lives. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved Qur’an–Hadith teachers, students, and school administrators as key informants through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. Data were examined using Miles and Huberman’s model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that deepened learning of the Qur’an and Hadith through methods such as tadabbur, simple interpretation, value-based discussions, and religious practices significantly contributes to students’ spiritual, moral, and social development. Activities such as tadarus, short sermons, character journals, and social projects help students internalize Qur’anic values and apply them in their behavior. Moreover, teacher role modeling, a religious school culture, and collaboration with families strengthen the process of character formation. This study concludes that reflective, contextual, and practice-oriented Qur’an–Hadith learning is an effective strategy to improve students’ religious literacy and foster noble character at the junior secondary school level. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for schools in developing more transformative and applicable Islamic education models.
