Abstract

Character cultivation is one thing that must be implemented from an early age. Apart from being done in the home environment, character cultivation can also be done in the school environment. One way to instill character in children in the school environment is by participating in extracurricular programs at school. One of the extracurriculars that is mandatory in elementary school is scouting. In scouting there is an activity that can instill character in children from an early age, namely the Alert Party. The Alert Party is a series of scout agendas or activities which are attended by students aged 7-10 years. Having this alert party can certainly help in cultivating the character of elementary school students. In this research, the author will analyze in more depth the role of alert party activities in cultivating character in elementary school students. The method used by the author is a descriptive qualitative method. The author uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that alert parties have a role in cultivating the character of elementary school students. Characters that can be taken from this alert party activity include discipline and responsibility.

Abstract

Bilingual education plays an important role in improving students' language competence and cultural understanding, the success of which depends on interactive, contextual, and developmentally appropriate learning media. This research aims to design bilingual-based learning media that is in accordance with the characteristics of students and the curriculum, as well as to analyze its effectiveness and implementation in the learning process.This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of literature review. Data collection is done by literature review through identification, collection, and selection of literature. The results obtained in this study are that in the context of bilingual learning, the media not only functions to provide material understanding for students but also as a means to increase students' vocabulary and skills in foreign languages, especially English. Therefore, the right learning media is needed to convey the material so that the learning objectives are achieved optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the literacy habituation program used as a strategy to improve reading comprehension skills for fifth grade students of SDN Bringin 01. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach method. The subjects of this study were homeroom teachers and fifth grade students with high, medium, and low abilities at SDN Bringin 01. This study used data collection techniques in the form of initial observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that literacy habituation activities for fifth grade students at SDN Bringin 01 have a significant influence, especially for students with high abilities. With this literacy habituation activity, students with high abilities find it easier to understand reading in depth. However, for students with medium and low abilities, this literacy habituation activity has not had a significant impact on their reading comprehension skills. This study is expected to be able to provide a positive impact on the evaluation of this literacy habituation activity, so that the objectives of this activity can be achieved optimally.
