Abstract

Stunting is a health problem caused by a chronic lack of intake of both macro and micronutrients, which results in irreversible growth and development in children. Child health efforts are carried out for fetuses, newborns, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and teenagers. The existence of teenagers is one of the global policies focused on SDGs. However, anemia impact can give birth to babies whose development is not optimal. Peer involvement is needed in optimizing education on stunting and anemia prevention movements. GERCEPS is a youth posyandu innovation based on stunting reduction, as a pilot project in Sampang district, an acronym for Youth Movement to Prevent and Care for Stunting. This research aims to understand the government and village commitment to supporting GERCEPS action in Sampang. This research was a descriptive qualitative design using primary data sources through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The sampling technique was purposive sampling of 9 informants in 12 stunting locus villages in Sampang. Informants’ criteria for this research are residents in Sampang Regency who have work and positions in government and the village. The question instrument refers to Allen & Meyers's theory with modifications. Narrative analysis technique. The results showed that Sampang Regency had demonstrated commitment and support for the GERCEPS action effectively, sustainably, and normatively. The penta-helix approach strengthens the role of local government. However, the village character in GERCEPS action is not yet optimal because this activity is a new program and still requires adaptation and consistency. This research showed that the implications of good commitment can result in good actions at every level to reduce stunting.  We hoped that the government would more optimally provide the best support to the village in implementing GERCEPS, especially ongoing training for village officials and youth cadres in implementing the GERCEPS action youth posyandu

Abstract

Education and Training (Diklat) with blended learning is training with learning carried out face to face directly and indirectly (synchronous and asynchronous). Asynchronous learning can use the iPosyandu application as a learning medium in professional training. However, success in the asynchronous learning process using the iPosyandu midwife application is related to the characteristics of the training participants. This research aims to analyze aspects of blended learning based on the characteristics of education and training (training) participants based on the iPosyandu Midwife Application. This research method used quasi-experimental with posttest design. Data were collected in this research by giving questionnaires about aspects of blended learning to 95 midwives with analysis of bivariate data with the Spearman statistical test using STATA version 15 software. This study showed no relationship between aspects of blended learning (pedagogical design, social design, ethnic design, different options) and the characteristics of training participants (age, education, occupation, period). work, last training) with a value of r=0.00-0.20; p-value>0.005. Thus, the iPosyandu Midwife application as mobile learning (mLearning) can contribute to learning for trainees using the Blended Learning method. iPosyandu midwife application can be used by trainees with various ages, education levels, occupations, and tenure, as well as training experience.

Abstract

Using birth control (BC) can affect gingiva tissue, increasing the risk of developing gingivitis among women of reproductive age. Based on the Central Bureau of Statistics census, in 2021 61,77% of women in their reproductive age have used contraception and birth control in East Java. This study aims to find the correlation between the history and birth control usage and the incidence of gingivitis among pregnant women in Ambulu Public Health Center. This study uses a cross-sectional method with an analytical observational approach on pregnant women who visited the Dental Outpatient and received dental examinations in April and May of 2022. Thirty respondents were gathered with a history of birth control usage and evaluated using the dentist's Periodontal Index (PI). The results show that nine respondents (30%) had no history of using BC, two respondents (6.6%) used BC pills, ten respondents (33.3%) used 1-month injection BC, five respondents (16.6%) used 3-month injection BC, two respondents (6.6%) used implants BC and two respondents (6.6%) used IUD. From the cross table, one respondent (3.3%) was in the normal category, 1 respondent (3.3%) was in the simple gingivitis category, 15 respondents (50%) were in the early destructive periodontal disease category, and 13 respondents (43.4%) were in the destructive periodontitis. The data are analyzed using Chi-square result, showing that the significant value is p = 0,049 (p<0,05), so it can be concluded there is a significant relation between history of birth control usage and incidence of gingivitis in Ambulu Public Health Center. Dental and oral examinations are highly recommended in routine as early detection of health problems among pregnant women.
