Abstract

Asap rokok merupakan sumber radikal bebas (oksidan) yang dapat meningkatkan terjadinya peroksidasi lipid membran sel. Malondialdehid (MDA) adalah salah satu produk akhir dari peroksidasi lipid, digunakan sebagai biomarker stres oksidatif. Buah kawista (Limonia acidissima Linn) memiliki senyawa fenolik antara lain flavonoid dan tanin yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian buah kawista secara preventif, untuk menghambat peningkatan kadar malondialdehid serum tikus Wistar yang dipapar asap rokok. Studi eksperimental menggunakan post-test only group design, dengan rancangan acak lengkap, pada tikus Wistar jantan sebanyak 25 ekor, perlakuan selama 35 hari. Tikus dibagi dalam 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol negatif (tanpa perlakuan), kontrol positif (dipapar asap rokok), kelompok P1 (asap rokok dan buah kawista dosis 500 mg/kg BB), kelompok P2 (asap rokok dan buah kawista dosis 600 mg/kg BB), kelompok P3 (asap rokok dan buah kawista dosis 700 mg/kg BB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buah kawista yang diberikan secara preventif pada ketiga dosis, dapat menghambat peningkatan kadar malondialdehid serum tikus yang dipapar asap rokok (p=0,000). Kadar malondialdehid serum terendah terlihat pada dosis 700 mg/kg BB. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian buah kawista secara preventif, dapat menghambat peningkatan kadar malondialdehid serum tikus Wistar yang dipapar asap rokok.Kata Kunci: Antioksidan, asap rokok, buah kawista, malondialdehid, peroksidasi lipid

Abstract

Konsep cleaner production mampu mengolah limbah menjadi sumber pendapatan. Biji salak merupakan limbah dalam pengolahan buah salak, jumlahnya cukup besar mengingat biji merupakan 30% bagian buah salak. Kopi biji salak merupakan produk olahan limbah yang memiliki nilai tambah karena rendah kafein dan memiliki bioaktivitas antioksidan. Minuman boba adalah komoditas minuman dengan penjualan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak terhadap karakteristik organoleptik boba, dan aktivitas antioksidan boba terbaik berdasarkan metode uji penerimaan berupa uji hedonik. Studi eksperimental menggunakan desain rancangan acak lengkap, dengan perlakuan penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak sebesar 20% (X1), 40% (X2), 60% (X3), 80% (X4), dan 100% (X5). Karakteristik organoleptik dianalisis dengan uji skor dan hedonik, dan aktivitas antioksidan dianalisis dengan metode DPPH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter warna, aroma dan keseluruhan, namun tidak berpengaruh pada rasa dan tekstur boba. Produk terbaik berdasarkan uji hedonik untuk keseluruhan atribut sensori adalah produk boba dengan penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak 100% (X5). Produk X5 memiliki karakteristik organoleptik warna, cokelat; aroma, cukup beraroma kopi; rasa, kurang berasa kopi; dan tekstur, cukup kenyal. Produk X5 memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang rendah/lemah dengan Nilai IC50 391,0 μg/mL.

Abstract

Biji salak yang tidak dikonsumsi secara langsung sebagai pangan ternyata memiliki potensi nilai tambah produk. Kopi biji salak terbukti memiliki kandungan kafein yang rendah, senyawa antioksidan, dan memiliki potensi ekonomi yang tinggi. Minuman boba adalah komoditas minuman dengan penjualan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji proses pembuatan boba kopi biji salak, dan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak terhadap sifat sensori, dan aktivitas antioksidan boba. Studi eksperimental menggunakan desain rancangan acak lengkap, dengan perlakuan penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak sebesar 20% (X1), 40% (X2), 60% (X3), 80% (X4), dan 100% (X5). Daya terima panelis terhadap produk boba dianalisis dengan uji hedonik. Aktivitas antioksidan dianalisis dengan metode penangkapan radikal DPPH, dan antioksidan asam askorbat digunakan sebagai kontrol pembanding. Hasil uji hedonik menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter warna, aroma, rasa, dan keseluruhan, namun tidak berpengaruh pada tekstur. Pada uji DPPH, penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak berpengaruh nyata terhadap aktivitas antioksidan boba. Produk terbaik berdasarkan uji hedonik untuk keseluruhan atribut sensori adalah produk boba dengan penambahan ekstrak kopi biji salak 100% (X5), dengan skor 4,13 (skala penerimaan suka - sangat suka). Produk X5 memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan kategori rendah dengan Nilai IC50 391,0 μg/mL.

Abstract

Ibu memiliki peran yang penting untuk memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi, menstimulasi, dan memantau pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan peran ibu dalam merawat balita stunting di Desa Larangan Luar, Kabupaten Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki balita stunting di Desa Larangan Luar, Kabupaten Pamekasan, menggunakan teknik total sampling sejumlah 21 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner close ended dichotomy. Data yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisa menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki peran cukup sebanyak 13 orang (61.9%), sebagian kecil memiliki peran baik sebanyak 2 orang (9.5%), dan 6 responden (28.5%) memiliki peran yang kurang. Hasil penelitian ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh pendidikan ibu dan pengalaman ibu dalam mengasuh anak. Untuk dapat meningkatkan peran ibu dalam merawat balita stunting, diharapkan ibu dapat meningkatkan pengetahuannya dalam memberikan perawatan balita stunting. Abstract

Stunting is a health problem caused by a chronic lack of intake of both macro and micronutrients, which results in irreversible growth and development in children. Child health efforts are carried out for fetuses, newborns, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and teenagers. The existence of teenagers is one of the global policies focused on SDGs. However, anemia impact can give birth to babies whose development is not optimal. Peer involvement is needed in optimizing education on stunting and anemia prevention movements. GERCEPS is a youth posyandu innovation based on stunting reduction, as a pilot project in Sampang district, an acronym for Youth Movement to Prevent and Care for Stunting. This research aims to understand the government and village commitment to supporting GERCEPS action in Sampang. This research was a descriptive qualitative design using primary data sources through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The sampling technique was purposive sampling of 9 informants in 12 stunting locus villages in Sampang. Informants’ criteria for this research are residents in Sampang Regency who have work and positions in government and the village. The question instrument refers to Allen & Meyers's theory with modifications. Narrative analysis technique. The results showed that Sampang Regency had demonstrated commitment and support for the GERCEPS action effectively, sustainably, and normatively. The penta-helix approach strengthens the role of local government. However, the village character in GERCEPS action is not yet optimal because this activity is a new program and still requires adaptation and consistency. This research showed that the implications of good commitment can result in good actions at every level to reduce stunting.  We hoped that the government would more optimally provide the best support to the village in implementing GERCEPS, especially ongoing training for village officials and youth cadres in implementing the GERCEPS action youth posyandu

Abstract

We can rule the role of mothers today out for their role in domestic life. Mothers have been able to sustain family sustainability, especially in the economic field. Mothers can only wait at home and stand by and wait for their husbands, but they can play a greater role in supporting the economic needs of their families. But the question is whether mothers already have the skills to help support their family's economic needs? Based on this background, the authors conducted skills training for mothers, especially those who joined the PKK group by teaching ice cream making skills. In this article, we will discuss the training that will be given starting with the basic introduction, equipment, processing, packaging process so that they can sell to get profits for them. The training that takes place in the Ketupat Samarinda village across from this can later be expected by the mothers after the training will have the skills and can apply it at home so that it can help the family economy

Abstract

Background: Free radicals in cigarettes can increase oxidative stress, exacerbating inflammation and activating alveolar macrophage cells. The phenolic components of kawista fruit act as antioxidants that reduce free radicals.Objective: To determine the effect of kawista fruit on alveolar macrophage activation in Wistar rats exposed to cigarette smoke (CS).Methods: The experimental research used a post-test only group design with a completely randomized design for 35 days. Wistar 25 male rats were divided into five groups: positive control (exposed to cigarette smoke), negative control (no treatment), O1, O2, and O3 (exposed to cigarette smoke and Kawista fruit sonde at doses O1=0,5, O2=0,6, and O3=0,7 g/kg BW). Data were analyzed using ANOVA one analysis of variance and LSD test.Results: Kawista fruit given preventively at doses of 0,6 and 0,7 g/kg BW could prevent the activation of lung alveolar macrophages in rats exposed to cigarette smoke (p=0,000). The lowest number of alveolar macrophages was seen at a dose of 0,7 g/kg BW.Conclusion:  Kawista fruit inhibited the increase in the number of alveolar macrophages and improved the lung histopathology of Wistar rats exposed to cigarette smoke.

Abstract

One of the nutritional problems that often occurs in Indonesia is malnutrition. Providing additional food is one of the nutritional supplements given as additional food or nutrients that are intended especially for malnourished toddlers. Chicken feather fish meatballs are one form of fishery product diversification that can be an alternative to providing additional food for malnourished toddlers. Based on the analysis of nutritional content, chicken feather fish meatballs have good nutritional content so that they can meet the nutritional needs required by the body, have a good impact on body health, at an affordable price and easy to obtain. Chicken feather fish meatballs have nutritional content including 13.01% protein content; 0.39% fat; 8.5% carbohydrates; 70.81% water content; and 2.9% ash content.

Abstract

Introduction: Smoking is very detrimental from an economic point of view, especially for smokers who do not have their own source of income, because they spend a lot of money just to consume it. Due to their resistance to harmful substances, smoking becomes more dangerous for people who are close to smokers, also known as passive smokers, who inhale their cigarette smoke without a filter. Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge of the dangers of smoking in student at the Madura State Polytechnic. Method: The type of research used in this research was descriptive research using a survey research design. The population in this study were students who smoked at the Madura State Polytechnic. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling of 89. This study used one variable, namely a description of the negative impact of smoking on students. This research was carried out on May 4 2024. Data collection in this research was carried out by giving a questionnaire in the form of a g-form, then data processing was carried out in the form of editing, scoring, coding, tabulating and interpreting. Data analysis in this study used descriptive (percentage). Results: The research results show that the majority of respondents have sufficient knowledge about the negative impact of smoking on Madura State Polytechnic students. Conclusion: Knowledge and attitudes can influence smoking habits in teenagers. Cigarettes are very dangerous for teenagers' health because smoking is the same as introducing dangerous substances that have negative effects into the body.

Abstract

Background: After the covid-19 pandemic, adolescent Integrated Health Centre (IHC) activities in Sampang Regency decreased drastically, both in quantity and quality. Factors related to this problem are the lack of adolescent participation, accompanied by the lack of ability of adolescent IHC cadres to perform their duties. Adolescent IHC is preventive efforts to prevent incidents of stunting.Objective: The study aimed to measure the effect of "AKSI GERCEPS" training on nutrition knowledge among adolescent IHC cadres in Sampang Regency.Methods: : Study quasi-experimental use one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in Sampang Regency in December 2023. The sample consisted of 72 people, selected using a purposive sampling method representing 12 locus villages stunting. The research variable is the effect of "AKSI GERCEPS" training on increasing the nutritional knowledge of adolescent IHC cadres. Data analysis used the T-test.  Results: Mean scores before and after training were significantly different (p=0,000). At the end of the training, the participants' average score increased to 6,58, whereas before the training  was 2,55. The knowledge of adolescent cadres who had previously received nutrition education was also significantly different from that of those who had never received nutrition education (p=0,000). After the training, cadres who had received nutrition education had an average score of 1,78 higher.Conclusion: Cadres knowledge of nutrition increased after the training. Nutrition training for adolescents needs to be carried out continuously, to be able to provide optimal service.
