Abstract

This study aims to examine the quality of public services in the health sector and their impact on patient satisfaction at the Prof.dr. Panusunan Lubis Hospital, University of North Sumatra (USU Hospital). In this study, a qualitative approach with descriptive method was used. Data were collected through interviews with four patients who are currently or have undergone treatment at USU Hospital. The results showed that most patients were satisfied with the quality of service they received at USU Hospital. Factors such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence have contributed positively to the patient experience. However, there were some complaints from some patients related to unfriendly administrative services, incompetent nurses, and room mismatches with expectations. In conclusion, good public service quality at USU Hospital has increased patient satisfaction, although there are still some areas that need to be improved. The results of this study can be valuable input for USU Hospital in improving public services and patient experience to achieve higher standards. Abstract

Choosing Halal Products is a new lifestyle trend in a country with a predominant Muslim population. Samarinda is one of the most promising regions for the introduction of halal culinary products, particularly bread products. Every entrepreneur must comprehend consumer behavior and all the factors that influence purchasing decisions, as well as endeavor to develop and create products with distinct advantages over rivals and pay more attention to taste and the use of high-quality ingredients. Rarely has research been conducted on the factors that influence the decision to purchase halal bakery products. This study aims to add to previous research by focusing on consumer behavior when purchasing halal bakery products. This form of research is quantitative and employs a causal-associational methodology. This study's population consists of Samarinda consumers of Certified Halal Bakery Bread Products. Sampling technique is purposive sampling, with samples of as many as 100 respondents using the Lemeshow formula. Utilizing Google forms for the distribution of questionnaires to collect data. Techniques for data analysis using SmartPls version 3.0. The results indicated that Brand variables and Price variables have no influence on purchasing decisions, whereas Product Innovation variables and Cite preference variables have a significant influence on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi menuntut pendidikan untuk terus berinovasi dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang efektif, seperti augmented reality. Augmented reality menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif dan menyenangkan melalui penggabungan visualisasi dunia nyata dengan objek virtual, sehingga menarik perhatian dalam dunia pendidikan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep materi perangkat keras komputer mata pelajaran Informatika. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas X TKJ 1 dan X TKJ 2 di SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes objektif tipe pilihan ganda dan instrument non tes berupa angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep materi siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis memperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00 (<0,05) dan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,7293 (kategori tinggi), dengan persentase keefektifan 72,92%. Media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality dinilai sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran tambahan berdasarkan validasi ahli (95%), serta angket praktikalitas oleh guru (95%) dan siswa (87%). Keunggulan media AR meliputi visualisasi yang realistis, kemampuan pengamatan berulang, pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif, dan efisiensi dalam penggunaan alat peraga.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing educational communication in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic on student achievement at SMA Modal Bangsa Lhokseumawe. This study uses the theory of CMC (Computer Mediated Communication), with the limitation of research being limited to the online learning process which is only carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative research using statistical analysis. The variables in this study include the application of educational communication in online learning and the application of educational communication in online learning. The total population in this study was 341 students, the determination of the sample used total sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires indirectly (Online). The data analysis technique used is multiple coefficient analysis using the Product Moment correlation coefficient formula, and hypothesis testing using SPSS 25. The results show that the application of educational communication in online learning during the pandemic using CMC theory has an effect and significance on student achievement at SMA Modal Bangsa. This is evidenced by t arithmetic > t table (7.710 > 1.97).

Abstract

This study explores the multifaceted challenges faced by community radio stations in Indonesia as they navigate the digital era. Employing a qualitative-descriptive methodology, the research combines literature review, field observations, informal interviews, and online content analysis to provide a comprehensive understanding of the socio-technical and institutional dynamics affecting community radios. Findings reveal persistent inequalities in digital infrastructure and access, particularly between urban and rural areas, which hinder digital adoption and audience expansion. Institutional fragility, ambiguous regulatory frameworks, and governance constraints further limit sustainability and adaptability. Moreover, community radios confront tensions between their participatory communication ideals and the pressures imposed by digital platforms driven by algorithms and commercial metrics. Despite these obstacles, innovative hybrid broadcasting models integrating analog and digital technologies emerge as promising pathways for survival and relevance. However, the success of such models depends on capacity building, supportive policies, and collaborative networks. The study concludes that sustaining community radio’s democratic and cultural mission in the digital age requires harmonizing technological adaptation with reaffirmed participatory values and inclusive policy frameworks. Recommendations highlight the need for equitable infrastructure development, targeted digital literacy training, policy reform, and fostering innovation through multi-stakeholder partnerships.
