Abstract

This study examines the concepts of Interaction and Mapping Interaction Research in Second Language Learning in the Classroom: Content Analysis Based on Rod Ellis's "Language Teaching Research and Language Pedagogy." The study applies a qualitative approach with a literature review design, utilizing data collection techniques such as documentation and literature review, followed by content analysis. This study indicates that Rod Ellis discusses the abilities involved in interaction, employing a sociocultural theory perspective to examine the development of second language learning. This theory emphasizes microgenetic and quasi-experimental studies on language learning through social interaction and internal learner growth. Rod Ellis also studies how classroom input and interaction improve second language learning using interactionist-cognitive theory, which emphasizes the function of interaction in delivering input that learners inwardly analyze. This perspective draws upon research employing descriptive/exploratory approaches.

These include, in the fields of educational methods and systems, islamic boarding school structure and management, islamic boarding school curriculum as well as islamic boarding school mindset and freedom.

Abstract

The number of early age santri who are successful in pursuing religious education such as being able to read yellow books at the age of 7, 8, 9 and 10 years old is inseparable from the success of a teacher in educating students at the Islamic Boarding School so that more and more parents entrust their children to be boarded from an early age. while at the age of not graduating from elementary school is not a time for children to study seriously but a time for children to play and get affection from their parents. From this problem, a model of attachment emerged between early age santri and ustadz. This study aims to determine the attachment model, supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Case Study. The informants in this study were 10 informants, namely five ustadz and five early-age students. The location of this study was centered at the Nubdzatul Bayan Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School. The informant determination technique used the purposive method. The data collection method in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study was through data presentation, data reduction and conclusions. The results found in this study were that the attachment model of early-age students at the Nubdzatul Bayan Bata-Bata Islamic Boarding School occurred because of one attachment model, namely the secure attachment model. The existence of the secure attachment model made children feel at home in the boarding school. The supporting and inhibiting factors include supporting factors: First, there is direction from the ustadz to the students so that the students are more persistent in learning. Second, instilling a close relationship between the ustadz and the guardians of the students. Third Instilling togetherness, fourth Instilling exemplary behavior, fifth Maintaining the dignity of students, sixth Giving appreciation, seventh Having a good response to the ustadz with students, eighth Being patient in educating. Inhibiting factors: first Lack of support from family, second Lack of insight, third New students.

Abstract

This study examines the thoughts of Islamic education by one of the reformers in the 20th century, namely Fazlur Rahman. This study aims to examine Fazlur Rahman's thoughts on Islamic Education and General Education. The main objective is to understand the concepts proposed by Fazlur Rahman in overcoming the dichotomy between religious knowledge and general knowledge, and how these concepts can inform educational practices in the context of increasingly advanced technology. This study is a library research where the main ideas of Fazlur Rahman's education are studied in this study. The main data sources are written works, articles, and books produced by Fazlur Rahman, as well as literature relevant to the issue of integrating Islamic education and general education. Data are analyzed through text analysis to identify concepts, themes, and ideas that emerge in Fazlur Rahman's thoughts. The results of the study reveal that Fazlur Rahman said that there must be integration between Islamic Education and General Education as a step towards a more comprehensive understanding of reality. Integration of Islamic Education and General Education can help overcome the dichotomy and promote a holistic understanding of the world. This study provides insight into how Fazlur Rahman's thoughts can provide guidance in developing relevant and inclusive education in today's era.

Abstract

Aim: Nativism has been a pessimistic topic when discussing its implementation in the context of children’s education. This happens because the flow of its universal ability, which has been carried since birth, is not influenced by external elements like an Arabic language environment gifted by a teacher’s values. In fact, the understanding of Nativism is not that shallow; there are several indicators that are missed when looking at implicit phenomena in the role of Arabic language acquisition without involving this understanding.Methodology: Using a phenomenological approach related to the "ISMU fil Arabia" activity, the researcher would explain the Nativism learning method in the Muhammadiyah Elementary environment.Findings: which has been proven to have produced students who are able to speak Arabic without external limitations from the school environment and teachers, which has become one of the sources of school promotion to gain its accreditation value that can be achieved for free.

Abstract

This study examines how different achievement goal orientations influence learning styles and academic performance among students in the Arabic Language Education (PBA) program. Using a narrative inquiry approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving students and lecturers at STIT Darul Fattah. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s four-stage model: data collection, condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal two dominant goal orientations: Performance Approach and Mastery Approach. Students with a performance-oriented mindset often adopt a diverging learning style and achieve high academic performance across subjects. In contrast, students with a mastery orientation tend to align with an assimilating style, excelling in courses that match their personal learning goals and intellectual interests. Drawing on David Kolb’s experiential learning theory, the study highlights how achievement goals shape learning styles, which in turn affect academic outcomes. This research underscores a dynamic and reciprocal relationship between motivation, learning preferences, and success in Arabic language learning, offering actionable insights for educators to tailor instruction based on students' motivational profiles and enhance language learning effectiveness.
