Abstract

Many textbooks available in the market require educators to be selective when choosing and using them as sources of knowledge to support learning. A high-quality textbook should align with the developmental and growth stages of students to achieve national educational goals. This study aims to evaluate and develop Arabic language textbooks based on BSKAP qualifications. The research employs a qualitative-evaluative approach, specifically a library research study with content analysis. For data analysis, Krippendorf's model is used, and the validity of the data is ensured by cross-checking the findings. The study's results highlight four aspects of textbook feasibility established by BSKAP: content/material feasibility, presentation feasibility, language feasibility, and design/graphic feasibility. Some indicators within each aspect require revisions, additional materials, and innovations from the authors of the Arabic textbooks under KMA 183 and the Arabic language educators who are implementing the independent curriculum.

Abstract

Aim: Nativism has been a pessimistic topic when discussing its implementation in the context of children’s education. This happens because the flow of its universal ability, which has been carried since birth, is not influenced by external elements like an Arabic language environment gifted by a teacher’s values. In fact, the understanding of Nativism is not that shallow; there are several indicators that are missed when looking at implicit phenomena in the role of Arabic language acquisition without involving this understanding.Methodology: Using a phenomenological approach related to the "ISMU fil Arabia" activity, the researcher would explain the Nativism learning method in the Muhammadiyah Elementary environment.Findings: which has been proven to have produced students who are able to speak Arabic without external limitations from the school environment and teachers, which has become one of the sources of school promotion to gain its accreditation value that can be achieved for free.

Abstract

Research and development model research is essential to meet the quality of coursebooks. This study aimed to develop al kitabah al ilmiyyah textbooks based on problem-based learning and measure their effectiveness. The research adopted Borg and Gall’s model, which includes seven stages: needs analysis, planning, initial product development, product validation, product revision, product trials, and final product refinement after field testing. The study employed both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and analyzed using validation testing techniques. The findings indicate that the development of the al-Kitābah al-‘Ilmiyyah textbook was effective, as demonstrated by improvements in pre-test and post-test scores in both the control and experimental groups. The experimental group showed a higher average post-test score than the control group, suggesting the textbook's positive impact.

Abstract

The "Kurikulum Merdeka" is a curriculum that emphasizes flexibility, innovation, and student-centered learning. Implementing project-based learning (PjBL) in this curriculum is one way to improve students' Arabic language skills. This study aims to explore the implementation of PjBL in the "Kurikulum Merdeka" for Arabic language learning and the factors influencing it at MAN 2 Kutai Kartanegara. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning tools. The data obtained were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's theory, which consists of data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that PjBL is implemented through various projects, with the most commonly implemented being conversation videos and news reading videos. The implementation process consists of planning, monitoring, and evaluation stages. Supporting factors include student enthusiasm and the role of teachers as facilitators in providing freedom and guidance. At the same time, the obstacle is the difference in students' backgrounds, which affects their Arabic language skills. It can be concluded that implementing PjBL is a learning strategy to improve students' Arabic language skills, especially in terms of fluency, accuracy, and content in line with the "Kurikulum Merdeka" principles.
