Abstract

Abstrak Prevalensi stunting di Indonesia sedang terjadi peningkatan yang mengkhawatirkan karena stunting dapat memberikan dampak buruk jangka pendek dan jangka panjang pada balita sebagai generasi penerus. Kegiatan ini bertujuan melaksanakan pendampingan kepada masyarakat melalui penyuluhan dan pengolahan pangan lokal labu kuning sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting. Kegiatan dihadiri sebanyak 24 orang peserta yang diantaranya ibu yang memiliki balita dan masyarakat sekitar bertempat di Posyandu Mawar Putih 1 Desa Sungai Batang Kabupaten Banjar. Hasil dari terlaksananya kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa para peserta mendapatkan informasi tambahan perihal stunting dan cara mencegahnya yaitu salah satunya dengan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan pangan lokal labu kuning. Kata Kunci: Stunting, Pangan Lokal, Labu Kuning Abstract Stunting is becoming increasingly prevalent in Indonesia, which is a major cause for concern as it can have both short-term and long-term negative impacts on young children who are the future of the country. To help prevent stunting, an educational event was organized where local pumpkins were processed into food for the community. The event took place at Posyandu Mawar Putih 1, Sungai Batang Village, Banjar Regency, and was attended by 24 participants, including mothers with young children and members of the local community. The event served to increase awareness about stunting and how to prevent it, and also provided participants with the skills needed to prepare nutritious food using local pumpkin. Abstract

ABSTRAK Anemia pada ibu hamil merupakan salah satu faktor risiko utama penyebab stunting pada anak. Berdasarkan data Profil Kesehatan Kota Banjarbaru tahun 2023, Puskesmas Rawat Inap Cempaka memiliki prevalensi tertinggi anemia pada ibu hamil sebesar 25,77%. Minimnya pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang gizi seimbang dan pencegahan anemia menjadi tantangan dalam upaya pengendalian stunting. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai gizi seimbang dan pencegahan anemia melalui intervensi penyuluhan di kelas ibu hamil. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Cempaka, Kota Banjarbaru. Sebanyak 29 ibu hamil mengikuti penyuluhan. Pengukuran pengetahuan dilakukan menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test berupa 10 butir pernyataan benar atau salah. Materi penyuluhan disampaikan menggunakan media poster dan leaflet, serta disertai diskusi interaktif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa sebelum intervensi, 75,9% peserta memiliki tingkat pengetahuan dalam kategori kurang (nilai <70). Setelah penyuluhan, 51,7% peserta mencapai kategori pengetahuan baik (nilai 80–90). Persentase peningkatan pengetahuan berdasarkan N-Gain Score adalah 77,58% yang termasuk dalam kategori efektivitas tinggi. Intervensi penyuluhan gizi seimbang dan pencegahan anemia terbukti efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil. Penyuluhan yang kontekstual, interaktif, dan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ibu hamil akan pentingnya asupan gizi selama kehamilan. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah melaksanakan kegiatan serupa secara berkala di kelas ibu hamil dan melibatkan anggota keluarga agar tercapai dampak yang lebih luas dalam pencegahan anemia dan stunting. Kata Kunci: Gizi Seimbang, Pencegahan Anemia, Ibu Hamil, Stunting  ABSTRACT Anemia in pregnant women is one of the main risk factors contributing to stunting in children. According to the 2023 Banjarbaru City Health Profile, Puskesmas Rawat Inap Cempaka had the highest prevalence of anemia among pregnant women, at 25.77%. Limited knowledge among pregnant women about balanced nutrition and anemia prevention remains a challenge in stunting control efforts. This activity aimed to improve pregnant women's knowledge of balanced nutrition and anemia prevention through educational interventions in antenatal classes. The community service activity was carried out at Puskesmas Rawat Inap Cempaka, Banjarbaru City, and was attended by 29 pregnant women. Knowledge was measured using pre-test and post-test instruments consisting of 10 true or false statements. The educational materials were delivered using posters and leaflets, accompanied by interactive discussions. Evaluation results showed that before the intervention, 75.9% of participants had knowledge levels categorized as poor (score <70). After the intervention, 51.7% of participants reached the good knowledge category (scores between 80–90). The percentage increase in knowledge based on the N-Gain Score was 77.58%, which falls into the high effectiveness category. The intervention on balanced nutrition and anemia prevention proved effective in increasing pregnant women's knowledge. Contextual, interactive education using a participatory approach played a significant role in raising awareness of the importance of adequate nutrition during pregnancy. The suggestion that can be given is to carry out similar activities periodically in pregnant women's classes and involve family members to achieve a wider impact in preventing anemia and stunting. Keywords: Balanced Nutrition, Anemia Prevention, Pregnant Women, Stunting

Abstract

AbstrakUMKM memiliki peran strategis dalam pengembangan ekonomi lokal, termasuk sektor perikanan yang berpotensi memberikan nilai tambah melalui inovasi produk olahan. UMKM “Makmur Berjaya” di Desa Tampang Awang, Kecamatan Tatah Makmur, Kabupaten Banjar merupakan usaha budidaya ikan lele yang menghadapi tantangan rendahnya nilai jual produk segar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam hilirisasi budidaya ikan lele menjadi produk olahan abon berbasis teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu edukasi dan pelatihan demonstrasi. Peserta berjumlah 10 orang, terdiri dari pemilik dan tenaga kerja UMKM. Evaluasi pengetahuan dilakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis peningkatan pengetahuan menggunakan N-Gain Score dan uji beda berpasangan (paired t-test). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan peserta. Sebelum intervensi, mayoritas peserta (70%) berada pada kategori pengetahuan rendah, sedangkan setelah edukasi sebanyak 60% peserta mencapai kategori baik. Nilai N-Gain Score sebesar 71,50% menunjukkan efektivitas edukasi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta. Uji paired t-test menghasilkan selisih skor rata-rata sebesar 28,00 dengan p-value 0,000 (<0,05), yang membuktikan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, pelatihan pengolahan abon lele mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta pada setiap tahapan produksi, sehingga keterampilan teknis mereka semakin terasah. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi yang dikombinasikan dengan praktik langsung terbukti efektif meningkatkan kapasitas UMKM dalam inovasi produk berbasis perikanan, sekaligus membuka peluang peningkatan daya saing dan keberlanjutan usaha. Kata kunci: UMKM; hilirisasi; abon lele; edukasi; pelatihan. AbstractMicro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in strengthening the local economy, including the fisheries sector, which has great potential to generate added value through product innovation. “Makmur Berjaya” MSME in Tampang Awang Village, Tatah Makmur District, Banjar Regency, is a catfish farming business facing challenges of low profit margins from selling fresh products. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of MSME members in the downstream process of catfish farming into shredded catfish products using appropriate technology. The program was carried out in two stages: education and hands-on training through demonstration. A total of 10 participants, consisting of the owner and workers, were involved. Knowledge evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain Score and paired t-test to measure improvement. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge. Prior to the intervention, 70% of participants were in the low knowledge category, whereas after the education session, 60% achieved the good category. The N-Gain Score of 71.50% reflected the effectiveness of the education in enhancing understanding. The paired t-test showed a mean score difference of 28.00 with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), confirming a statistically significant improvement. Moreover, the training activity encouraged participants’ active involvement in every production stage, thereby strengthening their technical skills. In conclusion, combining interactive education with practical training proved effective in enhancing MSMEs’ capacity for fisheries-based product innovation, while opening opportunities to improve competitiveness and business sustainability. Keywords: MSMEs; downstreaming; shredded catfish; education; training.

Abstract

Abstrak Pada bulan Juni 2023 Indonesia telah resmi lepas dari masa pandemi Covid-19 dan menjadi masa endemi. Masa peralihan dari pandemi ke endemi tentunya akan ada dampak baik maupun buruk terutama pada aspek kesehatan yaitu stunting. Terjadi perburukan stunting ketika masa pandemi Covid-19 dan dampak dari stunting sudah tentu buruk bagi masa depan anak secara fisik maupun motorik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan 2 Kecamatan dan 6 Desa lokasi fokus stunting Kabupaten Balangan pada bulan Oktober 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain case control. Sampel dengan perbandingan 1:2 maka total sampel untuk kelompok kasus sebanyak 22 balita usia 24-59 bulan yang stunting dan kelompok kontrol sebanyak 44 balita usia 24-59 bulan yang normal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh status gizi kehamilan, ASI eksklusif, dan imunisasi dasar dengan stunting pasca pandemi Covid-19 di Kabupaten Balangan. Hasil analisis statistik chi square menunjukkan bahwa status gizi kehamilan, ASI eksklusif, dan imunisasi dasar berpengaruh dengan stunting pasca pandemi Covid-19 di Kabupaten Balangan. Para calon ibu dan para ibu agar lebih memperhatikan kesehatan yaitu aspek keseimbangan status gizi, pemberian ASI secara eksklusif, dan pemberian imunisasi dasar yang lengkap sesuai dengan umur anak. Kata kunci: ASI Eksklusif, Imunisasi Dasar, Pasca Pandemi, Status Gizi Kehamilan, Stunting Abstract In June 2023, Indonesia officially emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic and has become an endemic period. The transition period from pandemic to endemic will of course have both good and bad impacts, especially on the health aspect, namely stunting. Stunting worsened during the Covid-19 pandemic and the impact of stunting is certainly bad for children's future physically and motorically. This research was carried out in 2 sub-districts and 6 villages where the stunting focus was located in Balangan Regency in October 2023. This research used a case-control design. With a sample ratio of 1:2, the total sample for the case group was 22 toddlers aged 24-59 months who were stunted and the control group was 44 toddlers aged 24-59 months who were normal. This research aims to analyze the effect of pregnancy nutritional status, exclusive breastfeeding, and basic immunization on stunting after the COVID-19 pandemic in Balangan Regency. The results of the chi-square statistical analysis show that the nutritional status of pregnancy, exclusive breastfeeding, and basic immunization influence stunting after the COVID-19 pandemic in Balangan Regency. Expectant mothers and mothers should pay more attention to health, namely aspects of balancing nutritional status, exclusive breastfeeding, and providing complete basic immunization according to the child's age. Abstract

ABSTRACT Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious global health issue caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In South Kalimantan, the province ranks seventh in the number of cases, with Puskesmas Martapura 1 recording 1,364 cases of pulmonary TB in 2022. Evaluating the TB program at this health center is essential for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of program implementation. The study was conducted at Puskesmas Martapura 1 in Banjar District in 2023. A qualitative research method was employed to assess the evaluation of the pulmonary TB program at Puskesmas Martapura 1. The input components of the pulmonary TB program at Puskesmas Martapura 1 were found to be suboptimal. There were limitations in the examination facilities, as TCM testing could not be performed at this health center. The process components of the pulmonary TB program were also not optimal, with record-keeping and reporting, as well as cross-checking, often not conducted timely. In terms of output, while the case detection rate met the target, the conversion and cure rates did not meet the targets set by the Banjar District Health Office. The error rate at Puskesmas Martapura 1 was 1.8%. To improve the success of the pulmonary TB program at Puskesmas Martapura 1 in Banjar District, several improvements are necessary. A weekly checklist cross-checking schedule should be established to prevent the accumulation of documents that can occur when checks are conducted quarterly. Daily record-keeping and reporting should also be implemented after patients complete their treatment to avoid report backlogs. Additionally, planning for patients who miss their treatments is essential to ensure they do not default on their medication and complete their treatment courses. Keywords: Tuberculosis, Evaluation of TB Program, TCM, Community Health Center  ABSTRAK Tuberkulosis (TB) adalah masalah kesehatan global serius yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Di Kalimantan Selatan, provinsi ini menempati posisi ketujuh dalam jumlah kasus. Puskesmas Martapura 1 mencatat 1.364 kasus TB Paru pada 2022. Evaluasi program TB di Puskesmas ini penting untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan pelaksanaan program. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Martapura 1 Kabupaten Banjar tahun 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif karena untuk mengetahui Evaluasi Program TB Paru di Puskesmas Martapura 1 Kabupaten Banjar tahun 2023.  Penelitian dari komponen input dalam program TB Paru di Puskesmas Martapura 1 belum optimal. Terdapat keterbatasan fasilitas pemeriksaan TCM tidak dapat dilakukan di Puskesmas Martapura 1. Hasil dari komponen proses dalam program TB Paru di Puskesmas Martapura 1 belum optimal. Pencatatan dan pelaporan serta Cross check sering kali tidak tepat waktu sesuai jadwal. Sedangkan output dalam program TB di Puskesmas Martapura 1 dalam angka penemuan kasus sudah mencapai target sedangkan angka konversi dan angka kesembuhan belum mencapai target yang disediakan oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Banjar. Error rate di Puskesmas Martapura 1 Kabupaten Banjar sebesar 1,8 persen. Dalam upaya meningkatkan keberhasilan program TB Paru di Puskesmas Martapura 1 Kabupaten Banjar maka diperlukan perbaikan yaitu dengan dibuat jadwal checklist cross check setiap minggunya agar tidak terjadi penumpukan berkas jika dilakukan pertiga bulan sekali. Juga diperlukan perbaikan dengan melakukan pencatatan dan pelaporan setiap harinya setelah pasien selesai pengobatan agar tidak terjadi penumpukan laporan. Dan diperlukan pula perencanaan terhadap pasien yang mangkir dalam pengobatan agar pasien tersebut tidak mangkir dari pengobatan dan menyelesaikan pengobatannya. Kata Kunci: Tuberkulosis, Evaluasi Program TB, TCM, Puskesmas

Abstract

Obesity is a major nutritional issue that can trigger insulin resistance, hyperlipidemia, and contribute to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). Ramania leaves, rich in antioxidants such as flavonoids, have potential as antidiabetic and anti-obesity agents. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of ethanol extract of Ramania leaves on insulin levels and fasting blood glucose (FBG) in obese rats with T2DM. The research employed a true experimental laboratory method with a Randomized Pre-Posttest Control Group design to examine the effects of Ramania leaf ethanol extract on insulin levels and FBG in male Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) with obesity-induced T2DM. The study was conducted over six weeks at the PSPG Laboratory of Gadjah Mada University. Subjects were divided into six groups: KNo (normal control, non-obese model group), KN (negative control, obese T2DM rats), KP (positive control, obese T2DM rats treated with metformin), and P1, P2, and P3 (obese T2DM rats treated with Ramania leaf extract at doses of 150,300, and 600 mg/kg BW for 14 days). Obesity and T2DM induction were conducted using a high-fat diet for 14 days, followed by streptozotocin administration at 45 mg/kg BW/day for three days. ANOVA testing revealed significant differences between groups (P<0.000), demonstrating the effectiveness of Ramania leaf ethanol extract (EEDR). Treatment with EEDR significantly increased insulin levels across all treatment groups (KP,P1,P2,P3) compared to the negative control (KN), highlighting the potential of EEDR in insulin regulation for obese T2DM rats. Ramania leaf extract showed significant potential in enhancing insulin levels and reducing FBG levels.

Abstract

AbstrakPengabdian Masyarakat Kewirausahaan merupakan bentuk wirausaha yakni produk yang memiliki nilai bisnis yang sangat menarik apabila dikembangkan untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang melibatkan ibu rumah tangga, ibu-ibu posyandu, mahasiswa dan dosen yang berfokus pada tema kewirausahaan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat di Kecamatan Batang Ilir, Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan. Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dapat membantu dalam berinovasi wirausahaan dengan penggunaan bahasa iklan untuk branding produk yang memanfaatkan bahan pangan labu kuning. Sumber pertanian wilayah Martapura Barat sebagian besar ialah labu kuning. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan juga bertujuan untuk  menekan angka stunting dengan kewirausahaan. Berdasarkan data hasil Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) Kabupaten Banjar menempati urutan pertama dengan angka stunting tertinggi di Kalimantan Selatan, mencapai 40,2 Persen pada tahun 2021. Pemanfaatan sumber daya alam ini sebagai wadah inkubasi bisnis melalui branding labu kuning. Kegiatan yang dihadiri sebanyak 40 masyarakat dan Kader Posyandu, tim dosen dan tim mahasiswa dapat menarik minat peserta dalam melakukan Industri kecil rumahan yang dipasarkan secara langsung atau online terbukti sebagai bentuk luaran yang diharapkan bahawa adanya kegiatan berkelanjutan yaitu akan dilakukannya pendampingan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan dengan pemberian informasi dan cara pembuatan produk pangan labu kuning menjadi puding dan donat lalu diberikan kemasan desain yang menarik. Community service activities involving housewives, posyandu mothers, students and lecturers who focus on the theme of entrepreneurship. Community Service Activities in Batang Ilir District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The aim of carrying out community service activities is to help in entrepreneurial innovation by using advertising language for branding products that use pumpkin as a food ingredient. The agricultural source for the West Martapura region is mostly yellow pumpkin. The community service carried out also aims to reduce stunting rates with entrepreneurship, this is a structural change in the economic sector, innovation carried out to create changes to create a business (Based on data from the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) Banjar Regency ranks first in terms of numbers The highest stunting is in South Kalimantan, reaching 40.2 percent in 2021. The use of natural resources is assisted as a forum for business incubation through yellow pumpkin branding. The activity, which was attended by as many as 40 people and Posyandu Cadres, lecturers and student teams, was able to attract participants in carrying out small home industries that were marketed directly or online, which was proven as an expected form of output that sustainable activities would be carried out, namely mentoring. The implementation of this activity uses counseling and training methods by providing information and how to make yellow pumpkin food products into puddings and donuts and then given attractive design packaging. Abstract

Background: Stunting is a growth failure condition in toddlers caused by chronic malnutrition, impacting physical and cognitive development as well as national productivity. In Banjarbaru City, stunting prevalence significantly decreased from 22,1% to 10,3% in 2023, likely due to factors such as high exclusive breastfeeding coverage, good maternal nutritional status, and adequate access to health services and sanitation.Objective: To analyze factors influencing the reduction of stunting in Banjarbaru City to support effective stunting prevention policies.Methods: The study was conducted in six public health center working areas with the lowest performance in Banjarbaru City in April 2024. This retrospective population-based case-control study involved children aged 12 to 59 months with stunting as cases and normal children as controls. Sample size was calculated using OpenEpi with a total of 78 samples in a 1:2 ratio. Cluster random sampling was used, and data were analyzed using chi-square tests or Fisher’s exact test when chi-square assumptions were not met.Results: The study found that only maternal anemia during pregnancy showed a significant association with stunting after controlling for other variables, with more than six times increased risk (aOR=6,54; 95% CI: 1,79–23,92; p=0,004). This indicates that maternal anemia is the dominant risk factor influencing stunting incidence in Banjarbaru.Conclusion: Maternal anemia affects stunting occurrence in Banjarbaru City, with pregnant women without anemia having a 7,5 times greater chance of having children who are not stunted.s.
