Abstract

The use of local food as a strategy to prevent anemia is not optimal; one of the causes is a lack of public knowledge and awareness about the importance of nutrition in local food. Effective counseling by nutritionists can help change people's behavior in choosing and consuming food. A series of activities are the answer to the problem, namely increasing knowledge through direct counseling and PMT (supplemental feeding) cooking demonstrations using local food, namely the use of the Kelakai plant as a nugget mixture. The community is given an understanding of local food diversity, which can help increase nutritional intake, especially iron. Extension workers encourage people to take advantage of local food that is easy to obtain and affordable, namely the Kelakai plant, which is processed into nuggets. Extension workers also provide training to pregnant women on how to cook and serve local food to keep it nutritious. The activity began by conducting a pre-test through questions about knowledge of anemia in pregnant women. The aim was to see the descriptions of participants, namely pregnant women, regarding knowledge of anemia, symptoms, and consequences of anemia. The taste of Nugget received quite good ratings from respondents, especially for texture and color. The taste also received positive reviews, although some respondents felt the aroma could be improved. The comments provided can be used to improve product quality

Abstract

The interest in repeat visits is an illustration of a hospital's success in creating a quality hospital in terms of its services. Patients returning to the same health service means that the reality they receive is higher than what they expected, resulting in patient loyalty to the hospital. This research aims to find out what factors influence the interest in revisiting outpatients at RSI Sultan Agung Banjarbaru. This research uses a cross-sectional approach with causal quantitative methods. The population and sample in this study were outpatients at RSI Sultan Agung with a sample of 105 people, with the research instrument using a questionnaire. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis methods. The results showed that there was an influence of patient attitude variables (p=0.001, r=0.622), brand image (p=0.001, r=0.812), perceived value (p=0.001, r=0.700), perceived quality (p=0.001, r=0.565) on interest in revisiting. The conclusion of this research is that the variables of patient attitude, brand image, perceived value and perceived quality influence the interest in revisiting outpatients at RSI Sultan Agung Banjarbaru. Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya pengelolaan limbah bahan berbahaya dan beracun (B3), terutama dalam konteks fasilitas kesehatan seperti puskesmas pembantu di daerah terpencil, terluar, dan tertinggal (3T). Limbah B3 adalah zat, energi, atau komponen lain yang dapat mencemarkan lingkungan hidup, membahayakan kesehatan, dan organisme hidup. Penelitian ini menganalisis kerangka hukum yang mengatur pengelolaan limbah B3 di puskesmas pembantu 3T. Terdapat peraturan yang mengaturnya, seperti Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 18 Tahun 2020 dan Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Nomor 6 Tahun 2021. Namun, kendala dalam pengelolaan limbah B3 meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya, kurangnya pemahaman, dan infrastruktur yang kurang memadai. Rekomendasi untuk perbaikan melibatkan investasi dalam fasilitas transportasi, pengembangan pusat pengumpulan limbah, peningkatan kesadaran, peran otoritas lingkungan, dan peninjauan ulang kebijakan. Kesimpulannya, regulasi dan analisis dampak lingkungan hidup penting untuk melindungi lingkungan dan kesehatan, tetapi tantangan dalam implementasi dan upaya peningkatan perlu diatasi untuk pengelolaan limbah B3 yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

Financial performance is an important indicator in assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of hospital financial management, especially those with Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) status. This research aims to analyze the financial performance of Hospital The research method used is descriptive quantitative with data collection through financial report documentation for the 2019–2023 period and interviews. Analysis was carried out on liquidity ratios, activity, profitability, PNBP ratio to operational costs, as well as BLUD financial management compliance. The research results show that overall Hospital The conclusion of this research is that although Hospital X has demonstrated good financial performance according to regulatory standards, improvements in certain aspects are still needed to support financial management.

Abstract

AbstrakKurangnya pemanfaatan pangan lokal sebagai sumber gizi keluarga, terutama ikan patin dan daun kelor, menjadi salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap rendahnya status gizi anak di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Astambul, Kabupaten Banjar. Kondisi ini juga diperburuk dengan keterbatasan pengetahuan mitra, yaitu kader Posyandu dan ibu rumah tangga, dalam hal variasi menu berbasis pangan lokal serta keterampilan mengolah bahan makanan menjadi produk bergizi yang menarik untuk anak-anak. Akibatnya, meskipun ikan patin dan daun kelor mudah diperoleh di sekitar wilayah tersebut, pemanfaatannya dalam menu harian keluarga masih rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah bahan pangan lokal menjadi makanan yang bergizi dan menarik bagi anak-anak. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah kader Posyandu dan ibu rumah tangga dengan total peserta sebanyak 24 orang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan gizi dan demonstrasi pengolahan pangan lokal berupa pembuatan nugget ikan patin dan daun kelor, yang disampaikan melalui media video interaktif dan diskusi langsung. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap manfaat gizi ikan patin dan daun kelor sebesar 71%, dari 12% sebelum kegiatan menjadi 83% setelah kegiatan. Selain itu, peserta menyatakan bahwa pendekatan visual melalui video mempermudah mereka memahami dan tertarik mempraktikkan resep di rumah. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya menjawab permasalahan mitra berupa keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengolahan pangan lokal, tetapi juga memperkuat potensi pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal sebagai alternatif pemenuhan gizi keluarga. Lebih jauh, kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi berbasis visual dan praktik langsung efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pengolahan pangan lokal dan berpotensi mendukung program Gerakan Memasyarakatkan Makan Ikan (GEMARIKAN). Kata kunci: pangan lokal; nugget ikan patin; daun kelor; edukasi gizi; pengabdian masyarakat. AbstractThe lack of utilization of local food as a source of family nutrition, especially catfish and moringa leaves, is one of the factors contributing to the low nutritional status of children in the Astambul Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area, Banjar Regency. This condition is also exacerbated by the limited knowledge of partners, namely Posyandu cadres and housewives, regarding the variety of local food-based menus and the skills to process food ingredients into nutritious products that are attractive to children. As a result, although catfish and moringa leaves are easily obtained around the area, their utilization in the daily family menu is still low. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in processing local food ingredients into nutritious and attractive foods for children. The target of this activity is Posyandu cadres and housewives with a total of 24 participants. The implementation method includes nutrition counseling and demonstrations of local food processing in the form of making catfish and moringa leaf nuggets, which are delivered through interactive video media and live discussions. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the nutritional benefits of catfish and moringa leaves by 71%, from 12% before the activity to 83% after the activity. Furthermore, participants stated that the visual approach through videos made it easier for them to understand and encourage them to practice the recipes at home. This activity not only addressed partners' limited knowledge and skills in local food processing but also strengthened the potential of utilizing local resources as an alternative way to meet family nutritional needs. Furthermore, this activity demonstrated that visual-based education and hands-on practice are effective in improving local food processing skills and have the potential to support the Movement to Promote Fish Eating (GEMARIKAN) program. Keywords: local food; catfish nuggets; moringa leaves; nutrition education; community service.

Abstract

AbstrakUMKM memiliki peran strategis dalam pengembangan ekonomi lokal, termasuk sektor perikanan yang berpotensi memberikan nilai tambah melalui inovasi produk olahan. UMKM “Makmur Berjaya” di Desa Tampang Awang, Kecamatan Tatah Makmur, Kabupaten Banjar merupakan usaha budidaya ikan lele yang menghadapi tantangan rendahnya nilai jual produk segar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam hilirisasi budidaya ikan lele menjadi produk olahan abon berbasis teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu edukasi dan pelatihan demonstrasi. Peserta berjumlah 10 orang, terdiri dari pemilik dan tenaga kerja UMKM. Evaluasi pengetahuan dilakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis peningkatan pengetahuan menggunakan N-Gain Score dan uji beda berpasangan (paired t-test). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan peserta. Sebelum intervensi, mayoritas peserta (70%) berada pada kategori pengetahuan rendah, sedangkan setelah edukasi sebanyak 60% peserta mencapai kategori baik. Nilai N-Gain Score sebesar 71,50% menunjukkan efektivitas edukasi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta. Uji paired t-test menghasilkan selisih skor rata-rata sebesar 28,00 dengan p-value 0,000 (<0,05), yang membuktikan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, pelatihan pengolahan abon lele mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta pada setiap tahapan produksi, sehingga keterampilan teknis mereka semakin terasah. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi yang dikombinasikan dengan praktik langsung terbukti efektif meningkatkan kapasitas UMKM dalam inovasi produk berbasis perikanan, sekaligus membuka peluang peningkatan daya saing dan keberlanjutan usaha. Kata kunci: UMKM; hilirisasi; abon lele; edukasi; pelatihan. AbstractMicro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in strengthening the local economy, including the fisheries sector, which has great potential to generate added value through product innovation. “Makmur Berjaya” MSME in Tampang Awang Village, Tatah Makmur District, Banjar Regency, is a catfish farming business facing challenges of low profit margins from selling fresh products. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of MSME members in the downstream process of catfish farming into shredded catfish products using appropriate technology. The program was carried out in two stages: education and hands-on training through demonstration. A total of 10 participants, consisting of the owner and workers, were involved. Knowledge evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain Score and paired t-test to measure improvement. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge. Prior to the intervention, 70% of participants were in the low knowledge category, whereas after the education session, 60% achieved the good category. The N-Gain Score of 71.50% reflected the effectiveness of the education in enhancing understanding. The paired t-test showed a mean score difference of 28.00 with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), confirming a statistically significant improvement. Moreover, the training activity encouraged participants’ active involvement in every production stage, thereby strengthening their technical skills. In conclusion, combining interactive education with practical training proved effective in enhancing MSMEs’ capacity for fisheries-based product innovation, while opening opportunities to improve competitiveness and business sustainability. Keywords: MSMEs; downstreaming; shredded catfish; education; training.

Abstract

There is a need to increase the effectiveness and efficiency with which the operational fund budget is managed at RSUD Brigjend H. Hasan Basry Kandangan. Declining revenue projections and limited resources mean that hospitals must determine budget priorities in an objective and measurable way. This research aims to analyse the application of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine operational fund budget priorities, providing recommendations to support more effective decision-making in a hospital environment. A qualitative approach was used, involving data collection through interviews and documentation, and analysis using the AHP method with the assistance of Expert Choice 11 software to compare criteria and service alternatives. The results showed that the main criteria for determining budget priorities are potential income, market demand, operational costs and limited resources. The analysis prioritised home care services due to their high revenue potential and market demand. The application of AHP has also been proven to increase the efficiency, transparency and accountability of budget decision-making processes. This study concludes that the AHP method can be an effective tool for BLUD Hospital's operational budget prioritisation process. It is recommended that the method be integrated into all work units and supported by training for optimal application.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a growth failure condition in toddlers caused by chronic malnutrition, impacting physical and cognitive development as well as national productivity. In Banjarbaru City, stunting prevalence significantly decreased from 22,1% to 10,3% in 2023, likely due to factors such as high exclusive breastfeeding coverage, good maternal nutritional status, and adequate access to health services and sanitation.Objective: To analyze factors influencing the reduction of stunting in Banjarbaru City to support effective stunting prevention policies.Methods: The study was conducted in six public health center working areas with the lowest performance in Banjarbaru City in April 2024. This retrospective population-based case-control study involved children aged 12 to 59 months with stunting as cases and normal children as controls. Sample size was calculated using OpenEpi with a total of 78 samples in a 1:2 ratio. Cluster random sampling was used, and data were analyzed using chi-square tests or Fisher’s exact test when chi-square assumptions were not met.Results: The study found that only maternal anemia during pregnancy showed a significant association with stunting after controlling for other variables, with more than six times increased risk (aOR=6,54; 95% CI: 1,79–23,92; p=0,004). This indicates that maternal anemia is the dominant risk factor influencing stunting incidence in Banjarbaru.Conclusion: Maternal anemia affects stunting occurrence in Banjarbaru City, with pregnant women without anemia having a 7,5 times greater chance of having children who are not stunted.s.
