Abstract

The ability to implement learning models in the classroom is a pedagogic competence for teachers. However, in preparing, implementing, and evaluating project-based learning, teacher creativity is needed. Creativity is the result of a creative thinking process. The purpose of this study was to explore teacher creativity in implementing project-based learning models. It involved 6 elementary school teachers. Teachers were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis was performed by data reduction, explanation, comparison, and conclusion. Data credibility was tested through data triangulation, peer discussions, and member checks. The results show that teacher creativity in terms of choosing learning methods and media, fostering student learning enthusiasm, applying problem-solving techniques, and compiling project assessments, is better when implementing project-based learning compared to conventional learning. This research is important to develop the creativity of future teachers in teaching

Abstract

The cognitive ability to think symbolically is essential for children's development. However, many teachers still need to provide more stimulation to young children's cognitive ability to think symbolically. This research aims to develop Wordwall-based educational game media and test its suitability as a learning medium to stimulate children's symbolic thinking abilities. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the development model from Borg and Gall. The research subjects were learning media experts, learning material experts, and kindergarten teachers. The test subjects, namely the trial, consisted of 9 children. The methods used to collect data are questionnaires and observations. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. The techniques used to analyze data are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results, namely the results of assessments from media experts, material experts, and teacher assessments, obtained a level of validity in the very appropriate category. The results of child observations also show that this word wall-based educational game media effectively stimulates cognitive development for children aged 5-6 years. It was concluded that Wordwall-based educational game media can boost children's symbolic thinking abilities. The implications of the research are to contribute to the field of early childhood education, especially in developing innovative and effective learning methods to stimulate symbolic thinking abilities.

Abstract

The current problem is that science learning is still centered on the teacher, so children's attention needs to be more focused because children are not taught to be directly involved in the science process. This study aims to develop a project-based science e-module to stimulate the scientific attitude of early childhood. The method used in this study is the research and development method with a 4D development model consisting of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The study subjects were learning media experts, learning material experts, and language experts. The subjects of the product trial were 4 IT kindergarten teachers. The data collection method was through a questionnaire. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire sheet. The techniques used to analyze the data were qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study were obtained through expert validation and teacher response questionnaires, with an average result from the material expert validator of 2.94 (Quite Appropriate), an average result from the media expert validator of 3.6 (Appropriate), and an average result from the language validator of 4 (Appropriate). For the results of teacher responses to project-based science e-modules to stimulate scientific attitudes, the average percentage of assessments was 46.528% with the category "Feasible" for use. Based on the feasibility test results, the project-based science e-module to stimulate scientific attitudes of early childhood was declared feasible to be applied as additional teaching materials.

Abstract

The global energy crisis drives the search for environmentally friendly renewable energy sources, one of which is bioethanol. This research aims to determine the effect of NPK and urea on bioethanol production. The method used research is experimental method, The production process includes the hydrolysis stage using 5% HCl, fermentation for 7 days with Saccharomyces cerevisiae, purificationthrough distillation, measure alcohol content using an alcohol meter. Variations of materials such as pineapple peels, pineapple leaves, and a combination of both, as well as the influence of nutrient addition during the fermentation process, by adding nutrients in the form of NPK, Urea, and a combination of both. The research results show that pineapple peels treated with urea produced the highest alcohol content at 17%. Pineapple leaves showed the highest yield at 5%. in the treatment, the combination of pineapple skin and leaves showed the highest content of 8% in the single NPK treatment. The use of pineapple peels is more effective than pineapple leaves. application of nutrients, especially NPK, has been proven to enhance fermentation efficiency, particularly on more complex substrates. This research shows that NPK and urea have an influence on the production of bioethanol from pineapple peels and leaves.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an ethnoscience-based guidebook by integrating lemea fermentation as a local context in biotechnology learning to improve junior high school students' science process skills. The development model used is ADDIE with a quasi-experimental design of non-equivalent control groups. The research subjects consisted of 48 ninth-grade students from SMPN 02 Lebong, divided into experimental and control groups. Research instruments included observation, expert validation, pretest, posttest, and questionnaires. Validation results indicated product feasibility of 92% (very feasible category). Effectiveness testing using an independent t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05), with an average N-Gain of 0.43 (moderate) in the experimental group and 0.17 (low) in the control group. The effect of media use on science process skills was moderate. Student and teacher responses to the media were very positive, particularly in terms of appearance, content, and usefulness. These results indicate that the integration of local culture into science is effective in developing students' scientific skills in a contextual manner.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ethanol content from banana stem and corn cob residues with variations in treatment and fermentation time using a starter culture to accelerate the fermentation process. The method used was an experimental design with treatment variations and fermentation times of 9, 12, and 15 days. Quantitative data were analyzed by measuring the average ethanol content and volume produced for each treatment and fermentation time, then presented in graphical form. The results showed that the highest ethanol content was obtained in treatment A (100% yeast) with 20% ethanol after 15 days of fermentation. In conclusion, the longer the fermentation time, the higher the ethanol content; however, the effect of fermentation time was not always consistent because ethanol content is influenced by the materials used, fermentation duration, and the condition of microorganisms during the fermentation process.
