Abstract

This research is a classroom action research. The purposes of this study are (1) describing the activities of Lecturers and Students in Human-Animal Physiology courses on circulation material with the 5E learning cycle strategy; (2) describing students' science process skills in Human-Animal Physiology courses on circulation material with learning cycle strategy. The research method used is descriptive, to describe the activities of Lecturers and Students as well as science process skills. The data analysis technique used is quantitative-qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that (1) the implementation of the syntax of the 5E learning in the first cycle is 86.5% and the second cycle is 93.3%; (2) the value of science process skills in the first cycle is 73.3% and the second cycle is 82%. There are differences in the average implementation of the learning cycle 5E syntax and the science process skills between cycle I and cycle II.

Abstract

We have reported here a specific human short stature population in Kedurang District, South Bengkulu. AH those are men, described as a mild dwarf (130-150 cm), detected after 5 to 10 years old, caused by the failure on lumbar backbone growth and development, and only found among the men. In this investigation, we examine the inheritance pattern of the dwarfism by using pedigree analysis, study the morphological comparison between the disorder and normal person, and finally we ascertain the variation among the disorder. We accomplished a survey on pedigree family to at least 3-4 generations related to the disorder. The data are then tested with Chi-square test, and transformed to tree families and pedigree analysis. To investigate morphological performance and their variation, we collected morphometric measurements to both disorder and normal group of sample; they are the height, the vertebral bones length, head measurement, the leg and arm length (upper and fore side), and their indexes. The data were analyzed descriptively. To find out the variation, the quantitative expression and penetrance, we evaluated the data according to normal distribution with Z test. The result showed all the dwarfisms in Kedurang are men, who inherited his gene from his carrier mother. As a result, the gene has tightly linked to X chromosome and supposedly belongs to Spondylo Epiphypeseal Dysplasia Tarda (SEDT). These were concluded from 32 related family of dwarfism. We found 19 dwarf persons, grouped into young, adult, and older persons. The their height were shorter than normal (136,5 cm), and the length of vertebrae was under normal value (51,5 cm). Their frontal extremity were shorter than the normal one, but they are in proportion with any part comprised them. Their feet were shorter, but the proportion of leg is longer than calf. The rest is as normally. Among the dwarf person, there are variations of the length. The phenotypic expressivity is varied in the vertebrae, leg, and calf; but the rest is relatively invariable. Their penetrance is strong, mostly in the height, length of vertebrae, and legs. Based on morphological data we concluded that the disorder in the Kedurang, South Bengkulu belongs to SEDT (Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tardd).

Abstract

ABSTRACT[Effect of Kijing Extract (Pilsbryoconcha exilis) on the Recovery of Sperm Quality in Mice (Mus musculus)]. This study aims to determine the effect of Pilsbryoconcha exilis extract on the quality of M. muscullus sperm. The approach used for the study was experiment with a complete randomized design model. In this study, 4 treatments and 5 replications were conducted, including treatment 1 which only administered aquades as control (P0), treatment 2 which only given paracetamol dose 250 mg / kg (P1), and treatment 3 given paracetamol dose 250 mg / kg and P. exilis extract dose 0,46 mg / g (P2) and treatment 4 given paracetamol 250 mg / kg and extract P. exilis 0,69 mg / g (P3). Technique of data analysis using qualitative descriptive and statistical test of One Way Annova parametry, and if obtained significant difference then continued statistic test of Smallest Real Difference. From the results of the study, it was found that P. exilis and paracetamol extract had no effect on sperm quality. Keywords: Sperm; M. muscullus; extract P. exilis; paracetamol.(Received August 14 , 2018; Accepted January 20, 2019; Published February 26, 2019) ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak Pilsbryoconcha exilis terhadap kualitas sperma M. muscullus yang diberi parasetamol. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan model rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Pada penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan meliputi perlakuan 1 yang hanya diberikan aquades merupakan kontrol (P0), perlakuan 2 yang hanya diberikan parasetamol dosis 250 mg/kg bb (P1), dan perlakuan 3 yang diberikan parasetamol dosis 250 mg/kg bb dan ekstrak P. exilis dosisi 0,46 mg/g bb (P2) dan perlakuan 4 yang diberikan parasetamol 250 mg/kg bb dan ekstrak P. exilis 0,69 mg/g bb (P3). Teknik analisa data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan uji statistik parametri One Way Annova, dan jika didapatkan perbedaan yang bermakna maka dilanjutkan uji statistic Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Dari hasil penelitian diketahui pemberian ekstrak P. exilis dan parasetamol berepengaruh tapi tidak signifikan terhadap kualitas sperma. Kata Kunci: Sperma; M. muscullus; ekstrak P. exilis; parasetamol.

Abstract

ABSTRACT[Capacity of student critical thinking through learning base on ecosystem study of water river]. South Bengkulu one of regencies in Bengkulu Province, located west in of the Bukit Barisan Mountains range which has a height of 600-1200 meters above sea level. South Bengkulu has a lot natural wealth that can be utilized as a medium of learning. This research aims to measure the ability of critical thinking and process skill student of class VII MTN 2 south Bengkulu by utilizing environment-based teaching materials. This research uses observation data collection techniques and test (pre test and post test ) Assessment of process skill conducted on two learning activities that is indoor and out door learning activities. Performance of process skill from student of class VII MTsN 2 South Bengkulu including into the category excellent and good while student critical thinking skills classically including into the critical categoryKeywords: student critical thinking skills; environment-based teaching materials’ pre test and post test.(Received November 19, 2018; Accepted April 15, 2019; Published June 18, 2019) ABSTRAKBengkulu Selatan adalah salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Bengkulu terletak di sebelah barat pegunungan Bukit Barisan di mana ketinggian pegunungan tersebut rata-rata 600-1200 m diatas permukaan laut (dpl) yang mempunyai banyak kekayaan alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Mengukur kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa dan ketrampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Bengkulu Selatan dengan memanfaatkan bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan tes (pre test dan Post test). Penilaian keterampilan proses ini dilakukan pada dua kegiatan pembelajaran indoor dan kegiatan pembelajaran outdoor. Kemampuan kinerja keterampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 bengkulu Selatan termasuk kedalam kategori sangat baik dan Baik dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara klasikal termasuk kedalam kategori Kritis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan, Pre test dan post test.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur dan komposisi jenis penyusun tumbuhan dan faktor abiotik (intensitas cahaya, pH tanah, temperatur tanah dan kelembaban udara) yang terdapat di area  konservasi kura-kura Universitas Bengkulu, mengukur keterampilan proses dalam keterampilan mengobservasi, keterampilan mengukur, keterampilan mengolah data, keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan keterampilan menginferensi, serta mengetahui paradigma siswa kelas XIPA1 SMA/MA terhadap pelestarian lingkungan melalui kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan yang dianalisa secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengembangan bahan ajar merujuk pada model pengembangan Dick dan Carey. Pada tahap pengamatan dan pengukuran vegetasi dibuat plot dengan menggunakan metode survey dan penentuan plot dengan cara purposive sampling, untuk plot ukuran 10x10m untuk tingkat pohon, 4x4m untuk tingkat perdu, 1x1m untuk tingkat herba. untuk tingkat pohon ditemukan 11 jenis, tingkat perdu 12 jenis, tingkat herba11 jenis. Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) yang tertinggi pada tingkat pohon adalah Artocarpus elasticus, tingkat perdu Stachytarpheta jamaicensis, tingkat herba Cyrtococcum patens. Indeks keanekaragaman vegetasi secara umum tergolong sedang. Prosedur penelitian di kelas dilakukan dengan langkah pembelajaran IEI dengan tahapan secara indoor, outdoor. Hasil keterampilan kinerja yang meliputi keterampilan mengobservasi, mengukur, mengolah data, mengkomunikasikan, menginferensi data secara klasikal berkategori baik, dan penilaian paradigma peserta didik yang meliputi tiga dimensi yaitu Penilaian tinggi terhadap alam, perhatian terhadap alam, Perencanaan dan bertindak hati-hati untuk menghindari resiko terhadap alam. Secara klasikal penilaian paradigma peserta didik adalah 88% berkategori baik dan 13% berkategori cukup.Kata kunci : Manouria emys; vegetasi; keterampilan proses; paradigma; area konservasi kura-kura Universitas Bengkulu

Abstract

 Abstrak           Indonesia kaya akan keanekaragaman hayati, salah satunya adalah Coura amboinensis yang terletak di Aceh, Bengkulu dan Enggano. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang media pembelajaran audio visual yang dikembangkan dari hubungan kekerabatan Coura amboinensis dari Aceh, Bengkulu, Enggano menggunakan DNA mitokondria untuk digunakan sebagai referensi ketika mengisi Lembar Diskusi Siswa untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa kelas 10 Madrasah Aliyah Ja -alhaq Bengkulu untuk materi keragaman genetik. Tipe Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dianalisis pengembangannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan desain media dengan merakit kegiatan eksperimen DNA Cuora amboinensis menjadi video pembelajaran melalui tahapan analisis kurikulum, validasi ahli membentuk media audio visual yang mampu menarik perhatian siswa saat pembelajaran karena video terdiri dari video pengantar berasal dari youtube, isi dari seri dan penutup proses eksperimental. Hasil penelitian media ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pengajaran audio visual berhasil membuat siswa mudah memahami materi keragaman genetik. Kata kunci: Pemahaman siswa; keanekaragaman genetik; eksperimen DNA; Cuora amboinensis.

Abstract

ABSTRACT[Capacity statisfaction student class X Madrasah Aliyah Suka Negeri Bengkulu Selatan though learning based on environtment]. The research  aims to measure student performance and  know the ability to solve problems through environtment – based learning activities on student of class X Madrasah AliyahSukaNegeri South Bengkulu, this study used pre test and post test. Pre test used to determine students’ early ability. Post test is done to determine the ability to solve the problem of leaners by using  LKPD problems based learning . Results of student performance in groups obtained from  the learning  process using LKPD. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. Scores obtained from all aspects assessed are converted to determine the group assessment criteria. Ability to solve the problem of class X student Madrasah AliyahSukaNegeri from the aspect of classical performance included into the category of good and evaluation there is an increase in value between pre test and post test.Keywords: Environment based learning; Student performance capability; problem solving skills.(Received November 19, 2018; Accepted April 15, 2019; Published June 18, 2019)ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk  mengukur kinerja siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Suka Negeri Bengkulu Selatan pada materi keanekaragaman hayatidan  mengetahui kemampuan siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Suka Negeri Bengkulu Selatan dalam memecahkan masalah melalui kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan. Prosedur penelitian menggunakan tes pre test dan post test. Tes pre test digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan awalsiswa. Post test dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan memecahkan masalah peserta didik setelah belajar dengan menggunakan Lembar Diskusi Peserta Didik ( LKPD ) problem based learning. Data kinerja siswa secara kelompok yang di dapat dari menjawab Lembar Diskusi Peserta Didik ( LKPD ) dianalisis dengan cara deskriptif  kualitatif. Skor yang diperoleh dari seluruh aspek yang dinilai kemudian dikonversikan untuk menentukan kriteria penilaian secara kelompok. Kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Suka Negeri Bengkulu Selatan dari aspek kinerja secara klasikal termasuk kedalam kategori Baik dan hasil evaluasi terdapat kenaikan nilai antara pre test dan post test.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan; Kemampuan kinerja siswa; Kemampuan Memecahkan masalah.

Abstract

 Abstrak Artikel ini terdiri dari dua studi. Studi pertama bertujuan untuk mengetahui Indeks Keanekaragaman Arthropoda pada area Konservasi Kura-kura Manouria emys Universitas Bengkulu .Hasil Studi pertama dikembangkan sebagai bahan ajar Biologi Berbasis Lingkungan di SMA Negeri 1 Ujan Mas Kabupaten Kepahiang Bengkulu. Dalam penelitian pertama dilakukan observasi terhadap hewan Arthropoda dengan mengidentifikasi dan inventarisasi jenis sampai tingkat Ordo.Parameter yang diamati adalah indeks keanekaragaman (H dengan nilai 1,17), kemerataan (E) dengan nilai 0,67, indeks dominansi Arthropoda (C) dengan nilai 1 dan Kepadatan Populasi (KP) 5,761. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Jenis Arthrpoda tanah yang ditemukan di Area Konservasi Kura-kura Monuora emys Universitas Bengkulu berjumlah 11 ordo, 2) Keanekaragaman jenis arthropoda tanah yang diperoleh dari Area Konservasi Kura-kura Baning tergolong dalam kategori sedang,3) Spesies yang mendominasi yang tergolong dalam ordo Hymenoptera, dan 4) faktor abiotik pada Area Konservasi Kura-kura Baning termasuk ke dalam kategori normal dengan ekosistem yang seimbang.Perangkat Pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dapat menumbuhkan Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang tinggi.Kata kunci: Keanekaragaman, Arthropoda, Area Konservasi, Kura-kura, Manouria emys, Universitas Bengkulu, Keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials model of Environmental Education Base on Problem (EEBP) for sixth grade students elementary school. Development of teaching materials EEBP method refers to the model of instructional design. Teaching materials developed is evaluated by education practitioners, and then effectiveness test the group of six graders, with using the experimental method. Evaluation data analyzed by descriptive, while the effectiveness of the test data were statistically analyzed using t-test. Evaluation results can be concluded, the purpose and scope of the material in the teaching materials model EEBP have compatibility with the competencies to be achieved. Design of teaching materials draw a learning activities with problem solving approach. Statistical analysis showed that, the group of students who are taught using teaching materials EEBP have a better understanding than the group of students who are learning without the use of teaching materials EEBP. Conclusion of the study, teaching materials EEBP effective enough to improve the understanding of sixth grade students about concepts of ecosystems.

Abstract

All schools, both middle and high school levels, are preparing to implement the Merdeka Curriculum in the following year. Learning innovations in the Merdeka Curriculum must be accompanied by the ability to assess learning outcomes and processes appropriately. Assessments are no longer based on paper and pencil tests but must authentically assess student skills. Through authentic assessment as an alternative assessment, students are accustomed to carrying out work according to job demands, where tasks are designed to follow real-world replication. Authentic assessment has the potential to improve learning for students ready to work in the real world. The ability to design authentic assessments is provided in this activity through the I-CARE design at SMPN 03 Lebong and MAN Rejang Lebong. This activity was attended by 30 teachers from both schools. The results show that the majority of teachers can distinguish between diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment functions, besides being able to understand the types of authentic assessment and being able to design authentic assessments to support student-centered learning by the character of the Merdeka Curriculum.
