Abstract

The development of digital media has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. In the context of Islamic Religious Education, digital media can serve as an effective learning resource that supports instructional activities while enhancing students' understanding of religious values. However, when used without proper guidance, digital media may also negatively affect students' religious attitudes. Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of digital media on the religious attitudes of students at SMP Al-Akhyar Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational approach. The research population consisted of 86 eighth-grade students of SMP Al-Akhyar Jakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year, all of whom were selected as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, while data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The findings indicate that digital media has a positive and statistically significant influence on students' religious attitudes. This is evidenced by a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.464, indicating a moderate level of correlation, and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 21.6% indicates that digital media accounts for 21.6% of the variance in students' religious attitudes, while the remaining 78.4% is attributable to other factors beyond the scope of this study, including family environment, school environment, peer influence, and individual characteristics. These findings suggest that the appropriate use of digital media, supported by guidance from teachers and parents, can contribute to strengthening students' religious attitudes. Therefore, collaboration between schools and parents is essential to promote digital literacy and encourage the constructive use of digital media in supporting learning activities and reinforcing religious values.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the still-conventional learning methods commonly used in schools, which can affect student learning outcomes, so that active and innovative learning media such as Quizizz are needed. Quizizz is an interactive learning medium that creates an enjoyable learning atmosphere through game-based quizzes and is expected to significantly improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the influence of digital-based learning media (Quizizz) on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta. A quantitative method with a survey approach was used, involving a population of 251 eleventh-grade students, with 38 students selected as the sample through cluster sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment technique. The results show a Product Moment correlation coefficient of 0.522 between Digital-Based Learning Media (X) and Student Learning Outcomes (Y), which is higher than the r-table value at the 5% significance level (0.316) and the 1% significance level (0.408). Because ro > rt at both levels, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The coefficient of determination shows that digital-based learning media contributes 27.2% to student learning outcomes. It is concluded that digital-based learning media has a positive and moderately strong influence on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the importance of teacher competence in the educational process, particularly in shaping and developing students' character. Teachers do not merely convey knowledge but also play an essential role in modeling, guiding, directing, and forming students' attitudes and behavior. This study aimed to measure the extent of the influence of teacher competence on students' character at SMK Jakarta Pusat 1. A quantitative approach with a descriptive analytic correlational method was used. The sample consisted of 76 students selected through simple random sampling from a population of 756 students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interviews, and were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between teacher competence and students' character, with a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.423 and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.179, indicating that teacher competence contributed 17.9% to variations in students' character, while the remaining 82.1% was influenced by other factors outside this study. Hypothesis testing showed that ro (0.423) exceeded rt at both the 5% (0.227) and 1% (0.296) significance levels, so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Therefore, strengthening teacher competence in the pedagogical, personal, social, and professional domains can support the optimal development of students' character.
