Abstract

In this era of globalization technology is more advanced, it can’t be denied the presence of the internet more needed in everyday life, both in socialization, education, business, etc. We can’t be denied that social media have a big influence in our life. Someone who initially small can be great with social media, or otherwise. For the community particularly among teenagers, social media have to make opium user gone days without opening a social media. While in a fact, teenagers in school trying to find his identity with his feers hang out together with friends .This research aims to understand the influence of social media explained about what course the influence of social media for teenagers in century it has since then to know what course the influence on teen behavior caused by the current social media During the research, researchers used a method of the qualitative study because want to learn about a fact; symptoms and events the influence of social media against teen behavior in the field just as there are in the context of space and time as well as environmental situation teenagers naturally. Researchers wanting the results of research in the form of the data that is even more complex on the phenomena that is difficult expressed by a method of quantitative and do not need processing data is statistics. The result of the qualitative study required researchers is in the form of deep information about the influence of social media for teenagers itself.

Abstract

The way people access, manage, and disseminate information has been fundamentally transformed by the rapid advancement of digital technology. Multimedia—integrating text, images, audio, video, and animation into interactive digital formats—is one of the most significant developments. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on literature review, this study aims to investigate the influence of multimedia on information dissemination in the digital era. The findings indicate that platforms such as TikTok, Google, and WhatsApp have a substantial impact on content consumption and distribution patterns across various age groups. While multimedia can foster creativity and enhance communication, it also poses risks such as misinformation and emotional manipulation. Understanding these dynamics is essential to maximize the potential of multimedia and minimize its drawbacks. This study highlights the critical importance of digital literacy and ethical media use to ensure the flow of accurate and responsible information in society.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies in recent years has created an urgent need to improve digital literacy skills, especially among students and young adults who are active users of mobile devices and online platforms. This study aims to develop a mobile application designed to improve users’ digital literacy skills, with a particular focus on accessing, evaluating, and using digital information responsibly. The study followed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model to systematically guide the creation and testing of the application. The mobile application includes interactive learning materials, quizzes, and simulations covering core aspects of digital literacy such as information seeking strategies, critical evaluation of online sources, digital security practices, and ethical behavior in digital environments. Initial testing with a sample group of students showed significant improvements in digital literacy competencies, as evidenced by an increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test results. User feedback also highlighted the application’s ease of use, engaging interface, and relevance to real-world digital challenges. The study concludes that the mobile application can serve as an effective educational tool in promoting digital literacy, offering flexible and accessible learning opportunities that align with the digital habits of modern learners.

Abstract

The concepts of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design have evolved from mere aesthetic elements into critical factors that determine the success of web- and mobile-based applications. This study aims to analyze the influence of implementing UI/UX design concepts on usability, user engagement, and the success of both web and mobile applications. The research utilizes a qualitative method with a literature review approach, analyzing various books, scientific journals, and relevant design guidelines. The results of the study indicate that implementing a User-Centered Design approach oriented toward user needs can enhance ease of use (usability), reduce cognitive load, and increase user involvement (user engagement). Furthermore, the application of design guidelines such as Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines contributes to interface consistency, increased user satisfaction, and delivers a positive impact on business success through improved efficiency, conversion rates, and Return on Investment (ROI). A case study on Tokopedia demonstrates that the implementation of consistent design concepts is capable of creating a better user experience across various platforms. Consequently, integrating UI/UX concepts from the early stages of development is a crucial factor in producing web and mobile applications that are easy to use, user-oriented, and highly competitive.

Abstract

Access by KAI is the primary digital platform used by the Indonesian public for train ticket reservations. Although thenumber of application downloads continues to increase, the application still receives numerous negative reviews onGoogle Play Store, primarily related to system performance issues. The large volume of user reviews makes manualanalysis inefficient, highlighting the need for an automated approach to identify the main problems experienced byusers. This study aims to analyze the dominant complaint topics in Access by KAI user reviews using a Text Miningapproach with the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method. The dataset consists of 2,000 recent low-rated userreviews (1- to 3-star ratings) collected through web scraping techniques. The research stages include data collection, text preprocessing (cleaning, case folding, stopword removal, and stemming), corpus construction, and topic modelingusing LDA. The results identify four dominant complaint topics: (1) delayed payment verification, (2) applicationinstability (crashes/errors) on Android devices, (3) malfunction of application features after software updates, and (4)difficulties accessing ticket purchasing services during peak demand periods (ticket wars). The identified topics providevaluable insights for application developers to prioritize improvements in system stability and the reliability of paymenttransaction services.

Abstract

Dark UX is an interface design practice that manipulates users into taking actions that benefit the service provider, often at the expense of the consumer. This study explores how dark UX influences consumer decision-making in e-commerce applications, identifies user issues, and develops recommendations for developers. A qualitative approach with purposive sampling was used to select 15 informants aged 25-45 who actively shop through e-commerce applications. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews and document analysis, then analyzed using thematic coding using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. Findings indicate that misleading urgency (limited stock notifications), sneak-into-basket (automatic item additions), and roach motel patterns (cancellation barriers) induce significant psychological distress, particularly the fear of missing out, which drives impulse purchases. Hidden costs that emerge only at the checkout stage and manipulated product reviews also erode user trust. The study recommends the implementation of ethical design principles, including up-front price transparency, easy-to-understand terms and conditions, real-time behavioral interventions, and regular dark UX audits. Stronger regulations and digital literacy programs are needed to create a healthy and sustainable e-commerce ecosystem.
