Abstract

Technological development could enable pre-service teachers to adopt web design with strong pedagogy, however adaptation requires still unclear an explicit exploration of the factors. This study aimed to identify the effect of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) on motivation, self-regulation, and learning achievement. It surveyed 406 pre-service teachers from 12 higher education institutions in Indonesia. Data validity and reliability were checked using an exploratory factor, confirmatory, and part analyses. The partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) results showed that TPACK has the most significant role in learning motivation. The result shows that technology integration knowledge also significantly affects self-regulated learning (SRL). In addition, pre-service teachers’ TPACK supports their learning motivation to use the web, as well as their academic achievement. Moreover, most students’ achievements were constructed by TPACK, learning motivation, and self-regulation. This study implies that the instructor should clarify the project mission and the inquiry system activities in the educational technology course.

Abstract

Gedogan is one of the arts that can be found in several places in Banyuwangi. Gedogan is part of the culture of pounding rice from the Osing Banyuwangi community. This is a musical art that is played by women using a mortar and pestle that are smacked against each other. This study aims to analyze the sounds that appear in the Gedogan. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using software (software) Visual Analyzer (VA) which can detect sounds along with the intensity and frequency of incoming sounds. This research illustrates that the sound in Gedogan depends on the material of the mortar, its size, position, and the point of impact. This can be seen from different measured sound frequencies. The Gedogan Rumah Wisata Osing group distinguishes sounds with the techniques of othek 1, othek 2, and othek 3. The frequency produced in the games of the Gedogan Rumah Wisata Osing group ranges from 320-1120 Hz This study is expected that this research will be a way to preserve culture by introducing and integrating related learning.

Abstract

To achieve effective learning, the role of teachers in designing, implementing, and evaluating instruction is crucial. Selecting a suitable instructional model based on students' characteristics and the learning situation can create an enjoyable, challenging, and motivating learning environment for students. The objective of this experimental research is to examine the significant difference between the effects of Problem-Based Learning with audiovisual media and direct instruction models on fifth-grade students at SDN Kalisat 1. This experimental study employed a quasi-experimental design known as the Post Test Only Control Group Design. The population of this study consisted of 60 fifth-grade students from SDN Kalisat 1. The selection of the experimental and control groups was done randomly, with Class VA comprising 30 students selected as the control group, while Class VB comprising 30 students selected as the experimental group. Based on the research conducted in Class V at SDN Kalisat 1, there were significant differences in the learning outcomes between the application of Problem-Based Learning with audiovisual media and direct instruction models in the subject of Natural Sciences (IPA). This can be seen from the average learning outcomes of students using Problem-Based Learning with audiovisual media, which were 77.33 with a standard deviation of 8.27, while the average learning outcomes of students using direct instruction were 72.66 with a standard deviation of 7.738. Furthermore, the t-test with a significance level of α= 0.05 and a t-table value of 2.00172 indicated that the calculated t-value (2.256) was greater than the t-table value (2.00172) and the significance value was 0.557.

Abstract

This research employed an experimental method using the Project Based Learning (PJBL) instructional model to enhance students' creative thinking abilities in the subject of Natural Sciences (IPA) in the eighth grade of SMP Salafiah Syafi'iyah. The study involved two classes, one as the experimental group implementing PJBL learning model, and the other as the control group implementing conventional instructional model. Data were collected through pretests and post-tests measuring students' creative thinking abilities before and after the instruction. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics, including an independent t-test to compare the differences between the two groups. The descriptive analysis results indicated that the average post-test score in the experimental group (77.00) was slightly higher than that of the control group (72.00). However, this difference was not statistically significant. Furthermore, the normality analysis showed that both groups had a normal distribution of data. An independent t-test was conducted to examine the significant difference between the two groups. The test results revealed a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in students' creative thinking abilities (p = 0.020). The mean difference between the two groups was 5.00, with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 0.81 to 9.19. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) instructional model has a positive influence on enhancing students' creative thinking abilities in the subject of Natural Sciences (IPA) in the eighth grade of SMP Salafiah Syafi'iyah.

Abstract

Abstract: Critical thinking is one of the 4C competencies that is important for students to master to support their success in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the project based learning (PjBL) model on students' critical thinking skills. The method used is purposive sampling. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design (pre-test and post-test). The average results of the two samples are known through the independent sample t-test. The difference in critical thinking skills scores between the control class and the experimental class will be known through a parametric independent sample t-test with a sig value. > 0.05 which means homogeneous. If tcount > table resulting from the right-sided t-test then it can be said that HO is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning the learning model used in the experimental class has a significant influence. In the research that has been carried out, it is known that the project based learning (PjBL) model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills, which is known through the difference in the average scores of the control class and the experimental class. Keywords: critical thinking skills, learning model, PjBL model. Abstrak: Berpikir kritis menjadi salah satu kompetensi 4C yang penting untuk dikuasai peserta didik agar menunjang keberhasilannya dalam proses pembelajaran.
