Abstract

The paper objectives are to describe and to anlyze the Zainatunah Subhan view on the exegesis of gender verses in Al Quran. According to her, indeed there is gender bias if the verses are textually interpreted. Otherwise, Al Quran supports the equality of both verses, if the verses are interpreted contextually along with scientific explanation.

Abstract

This study intends to identify the requirements of students and teachers for enhancing speaking skills and validate the use of interactive video in the classroom. This study used the ADDIE model's research and development (R&D) methodology: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Thus, it validated the teacher's material requirements and analyzed the students' needs. This study includes three English instructors and 18 secondary school students from MTS Miftahul Ulum Lumajang. Observation of classes, interviews, and questionnaires were utilized to collect data for this study. However, an interview revealed that the teacher frequently encountered difficulties devising English material for the junior high school class, particularly for the eighth grade, due to students' asking and expressing opinions. This study revealed, through a questionnaire, that the majority of teachers (66.7%) had difficulty enhancing students' speaking abilities by asking and giving opinions. This study revealed that the majority of students (72.2%) struggle to develop their speaking skills through asking and responding. Therefore, interactive video must be utilized. This study has provided the majority of teachers with a positive perspective on the effectiveness of interactive videos in enhancing speaking proficiency.

Abstract

Tafsir Mafātīḥ al-Ghaib is a tafsir that criticizes Muktazilah from linguistic analysis. The period of al-Rāzi is known as the period of mixing tafsir with political interests, a particular school of thought or ideology. However, Abdul Mustaqim's writing does not mention the tendency of Sufism. Then, al-Alūsi's famous Sufi tafsir, in 'Ali Iyāzi's statement, is a form of replication of al-Rāzi's tafsir. Therefore, how can a tafsir that is considered Sufi in style be said to be a replica of the 'itiqādī style. Thus, this paper aims to find out how al-Rāzi responded when confronted with Sufism verses and reveal how Sufistic narratives, whether they will also depart from linguistic analysis or not, and how the depth of the narratives written by al-Rāzi. The research method used is a qualitative method using literature review. With descriptive-deductive analysis and referring to primary sources of al-Rāzi's works, it was concluded that not all Sufistic narratives were written in depth by al-Rāzi. He starts with the linguistic side and then draws the theological side. However, in al-Ra'd [13]: 28, he goes quite deep when dividing the meaning behind the word al-iṭmi'nān. This discovery can give a new perception that al-Rāzi's analysis is thick with linguistic analysis that is quite in-depth, although in the end it is drawn in a theological or Sufistic narrative.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, the discourse on religious fundamentalism and radicalism has become increasingly important and urgent. This research aims to understand the phenomena of religious fundamentalism and radicalism from both religious and social theory perspectives, as well as to identify their root causes and social impacts. The method used in this research is a literature study that examines various relevant sources and theories. The research findings indicate that religious fundamentalism is a movement that seeks to return to the fundamental teachings of religion and rejects changes toward modernism and secularism. From a religious perspective, fundamentalism is seen as an effort to preserve the purity of religious teachings, while from a social theory perspective, it is viewed as a reaction to social and political changes perceived as threatening to religious identity. Religious radicalism is defined as an extreme view or action in advocating for social and political change based on a radical interpretation of religious teachings. Social theory perspectives see radicalism as a response to social injustice, modernization, or globalization, which is often associated with violence and intolerance. This research concludes that while religious fundamentalism and radicalism share some similarities in their core religious principles, they have fundamental differences in their approaches and methods. The contribution of this research to the advancement of knowledge lies in providing a holistic analytical framework to understand the dynamics of fundamentalism and radicalism from religious and social perspectives. This study also offers deeper insights into the root causes and social impacts of these phenomena, which can serve as a foundation for developing more effective educational strategies and public policies in addressing religious extremism in the era of globalization.AbstrakDalam era globalisasi, diskursus mengenai fundamentalisme dan radikalisme beragama menjadi semakin penting dan mendesak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami fenomena fundamentalisme dan radikalisme beragama dari perspektif agama dan teori sosial, serta mengidentifikasi akar penyebab dan dampak sosialnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur yang mengkaji berbagai sumber dan teori yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fundamentalisme agama adalah gerakan yang berusaha kembali ke ajaran dasar agama dan menolak perubahan menuju modernisme dan sekularisme. Perspektif agama memandang fundamentalisme sebagai upaya menjaga kemurnian ajaran agama, sementara perspektif teori sosial melihatnya sebagai reaksi terhadap perubahan sosial dan politik yang dianggap mengancam identitas agama. Radikalisme agama didefinisikan sebagai pandangan atau tindakan ekstrem dalam memperjuangkan perubahan sosial dan politik berdasarkan interpretasi radikal terhadap ajaran agama. Perspektif teori sosial memandang radikalisme sebagai respons terhadap ketidakadilan sosial, modernisasi, atau globalisasi, yang sering dikaitkan dengan kekerasan dan intoleransi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun fundamentalisme dan radikalisme beragama memiliki beberapa kesamaan dalam prinsip dasar keagamaan, keduanya memiliki perbedaan mendasar dalam pendekatan dan metode yang digunakan. Kontribusi penelitian ini terhadap pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan terletak pada penyediaan kerangka analisis yang holistik untuk memahami dinamika fundamentalisme dan radikalisme dari perspektif agama dan sosial. Penelitian ini juga menawarkan wawasan yang lebih mendalam mengenai akar penyebab dan dampak sosial dari fenomena tersebut, yang dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan strategi pendidikan dan kebijakan publik yang lebih efektif dalam menanggulangi ekstremisme beragama di era globalisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to explain: How is local wisdom in the book Tarjuman al-Mustafid by Abdul Rauf al-Singkili. This study used a descriptive method of analysis. The results showed that: Abdul Rauf Singkel the first tafsir scholar in the archipelago in the 17th century, evidenced by his tafsir work Tarjuman al-Mustafid. This Tafsir is written in full 30 Juz al-Qur'an with Malay Arabic script. In Abdul Rauf's interpretation in the book Tarjuman al-Mustafid found several elements of locality in it, such as the words syak, sail, kersa, rice, telekung, etc. So it can be said that there is a lot of local wisdom in the interpretation of this Tarjuman al-Mustafid book

Abstract

Surah al-Fatihah merupakan surah pembuka dan pertama di dalam ayat suci al-Quran. Banyak ayat-ayat pendukung makna dan penjelasan tentang keutamaan surat al-Fatihah ini. Surat al-Fatihah ini juga di dalamnya dapat dikaitkan dan dihubungkan atau pun dimunasabahkan dengan ayat-ayat al-Quran yang terkandung di dalam bagian-bagian pembahasan surat-surat yang menyangkut ayat-ayatnya secara tematik. Salah satu bahasan yang kali ini akan dipahami yaitu tentang ayat-ayat kosmologi dan sains modern yang dicoba akan uraikan kandungannya yang tersirat di dalam ayat ayat surah al-Fatihah. Dengan memahami tafsir ayat-ayat kosmologi dan Sains Modern dalam penciptaan alam dan manusia dalam surah al-Fatihah ini diharapkan juga dapat memahami tujuan atau visi dan misi penciptaan tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the needs of students and teachers for improving speaking abilities and to validate the usage of interactive video in the classroom. The ADDIE model's research and development (R&D) methodology was employed in this study: analysis, design, development, implementation, and assessment. As a result, it validated the teacher's material requirements while also analyzing the students' demands. Three English teachers and 18 secondary school students from MTS Miftahul Ulum Lumajang participated in this study. Data for this study were gathered through class observation, interviews, and questionnaires. An interview, however, revealed that the teacher frequently experienced difficulties developing English material for the junior high school class, notably for the eighth grade, due to students' questions and opinions. A questionnaire survey found that the majority of teachers (66.7%) had trouble improving pupils' speaking abilities by asking and providing opinions. According to this survey's findings, most students (72.2%) struggle to improve their speaking skills through questioning and replying. As a result, interactive video must be used. This study has given the majority of teachers a favorable impression of the efficiency of interactive movies in improving speaking proficiency.

Abstract

Akhir-akhir ini fenomena orang dianggap berpengetahuan dan dianggap sebagai pemimpin, ataupun yang kita anggap soleh, sering kali tidak mencerminkan sebagai orang yang dapat dijadikan panutan dalam perilakunya. Kasus-kasus kebohongan publik figur, korupsi, dan kejahatan-kejahatan intelektual sering kita dapatkan. Permasalahan ini dicoba dianalisis dengan kajian dari konsep Ulil Albab sebagaimana di dalam al-Quran, utamanya di dalam surat Ali Imron ayat ke-190 dan 191 yang boleh jadi dapat dimaknai sebagai keseimbangan zikir dan fikir. Analisis penafsiran ini secara metodologi tafsir dapat dikategorikan sebagai metode Tafsir Maudhu’iy karena membahas tematik ayat yang dikaitkan dengan tema-tema ayat yang sebanding. Pemahaman akan konsep Ulil Albab ini diharapkan akan dapat menjadikan keseimbangan zikir dan fikir sehingga akan menjadikan perilaku yang betul-betul sadar akan dirinya sebagai hamba yang berakhlaq mulia menjadi khalifah fil ardh sebagaimana tuntunan al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Sekolah Dasar yang menerapkan program inklusif menantang kepala sekolah dan guru di lembaga pendidikan. Pendidikan inklusi bertujuan untuk mengatasi diskriminasi di bidang pendidikan, terutama bagi anak-anak yang memiliki cacat atau kebutuhan spesial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pembelajaran inklusif diterapkan di sekolah dasar. Kajian literatur adalah metode yang digunakan dalam penyelidikan ini. Studi ini melibatkan pengkajian sastra yang mencakup pengumpulan data dari sumber-sumber tertulis, membaca dan mencatat informasi, serta melakukan penelitian manajemen data secara obyektif, sistematis, analitis, dan kritis mengenai pola pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan inklusi di sekolah melibatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam kelas dan lingkungan. However, behind the implementation, there are factors that support and hinder it. Bertemu dengan hambatan selama prosesnya tetapi sudah ada upaya yang dilakukan oleh sekolah dan pemerintah daerah.
