Abstract

This research emphasizes the importance of teachers' professional skills to improve students' critical thinking skills, especially in the 21st century, where these skills are crucial. This study used a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The purpose of this study is to see how the application of PAI teachers' professional competence in helping students improve their critical thinking. The results of this study show that teachers' professional competence has a significant impact on improving students' critical thinking skills. However, it was found that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers still do not fully master the material. They also lack creativity in developing learning materials and rarely connect PAI materials with other sciences. Some teachers do not even use learning media at all because they do not have equipment such as projectors, so they use blackboards. Students can become bored and not understand the lesson if there is no learning media

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the 21st century has greatly affected education. In education, technology has become very important to support the teaching and learning process. Teachers play an important role in this, and they must have strong skills to make students want to learn. However, many teachers at SDN 03 Pakan Kurai still have difficulty using learning technology, which ultimately hinders the learning process. The focus of this descriptive qualitative research is how technology is used in learning in grade 5 of SDN 03 Pakan Kurai and how the digital school programme is assessed. This research uses the CIPP evaluation method with a descriptive qualitative approach oriented towards case studies. The results show that technology has been used well in learning overall. However, there are some major barriers. These include unstable internet networks, teachers' inability to use technology, and lack of variety in the use of learning applications. As a result, some students lack motivation to learn, which impacts on their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education is a process carried out by teachers and students when learning is carried out in the classroom. At this time the school began implementing an independent curriculum. The implementation of independent curriculum management in improving the quality of education at the Bukittinggi City MIN involves the education unit committee and various stakeholders including parents, organizations, various centers, under the coordination and supervision of the Bukittinggi City Education Office. The purpose of the study was to analyze the management of: (1) learning organization; (2) learning planning; (3) evaluation, mentoring and professional development. The research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research location is MIN Bukittinggi City. The research subjects are the implementers of the independent curriculum management, namely the principal, vice principal, teachers and learning committee. The results showed that the management of the implementation of the independent curriculum was effective and meaningful so as to improve the quality of education at MIN Kota Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Guru PAI sekarang dituntut harus bisa menguasai digital dan mengkombinasikan metode dan media pembelajaran konvensional dengan modern untuk meningkatkan motivasi, pemahaman, dan keterlibatan siswa, serta menciptakan suasana belajar di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak dan banyak siswa mulai malas belajar dan suka menggunakan handphone dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang implementasi kepemimpinan guru pai meningkatkan  motivasi belajar siswa melalui pemanfaatan teknologi di era digital di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pendekatan studi kasus adalah alat yang kuat untuk menjelajahi situasi atau peristiwa tertentu dengan cermat, mendalam, dan rinci. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kompleksitas dan dinamika suatu fenomena atau masalah dalam konteks nyata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi, pendekatan inovatif dalam pembelajaran, manajemen penggunaan teknologi, dan perhatian terhadap kesejahteraan emosional siswa adalah faktor penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif dan efektif. Langkah-langkah ini membantu meningkatkan motivasi, pemahaman, dan keterlibatan siswa, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang mendukung bagi pencapaian potensi belajar di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak. Guru PAI di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa dengan menerapkan strategi efektif dan berkomunikasi secara baik. Dengan pendekatan yang fleksibel, baik otoriter maupun demokratis, mereka menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang memotivasi siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the BOS fund policy in improving students' academic and non-academic achievements at SMPN 4 Bukittinggi. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the School Operational Assistance (BOS) fund policy provided by the government to SMPN 4 Bukittinggi has been running properly, SMPN 4 Bukittinggi can be said to be good with an average graduate rate of 100% this is due to the existence of a BOS fund program that is quite successful in supporting teaching and learning activities. In addition, extracurricular activities are always carried out by SMPN 4 Bukittinggi such as Scouts, KSM Olympics and other activities where one of them is BOS funds. Factors that greatly influence the use of BOS funds are the existence of qualified Human Resources (HR) who can manage BOS funds properly, the Madrasah Budget Activity Plan (RKAM), the madrasah committee and most importantly the students at SMPN 4 Bukittinggi. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebijakan dana BOS dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik maupun non akademik siswa di SMPN 4 Bukittinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) yang di berikan pemerintah kepada SMPN 4 Bukittinggi sudah berjalan dengan mestinya, SMPN 4 Bukittinggi bisa dikatakan baik dengan nilai rata-rata tingkat lulusan yang mencapai 100% hal ini di akibatkan dengan adanya program dana BOS yang cukup berhasil dalam menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar. Selain itu juga kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang selalu di laksanakan oleh SMPN 4 Bukittinggi seperti Pramuka, Olimpiade KSM dan kegiatan lainnya di mana yang menopang itu adalah salah satunya dana BOS. Faktor yang sangat berpengaruh pada penggunaan dana BOS adalah adanya Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang berkualitas yang dapat mengelola dana BOS dengan baik, Rencana Kegiatan Anggaran Madrasah (RKAM), komite madrasah dan yang paling utama adalah para siswa di SMPN 4 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in an Islamic school in Bukittinggi to answer the challenges of modern education, such as the need for efficient quality management, learning innovation, and stakeholder involvement. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research involved the principal, teachers, students and parents as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The results showed that the implementation of TQM improved customer satisfaction through teacher training, strengthening communication with parents, using innovative learning media, and transparency in school management. However, the main challenges faced include resistance to change in organizational culture, limited human resources, and an unoptimal communication system. To overcome these challenges, the proposed solutions include continuous training, active involvement of stakeholders and implementation of an integrated feedback system. The findings show that TQM not only improves the quality of education in Islamic schools but also creates a culture of continuous improvement that supports holistic student development. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of quality management strategies in Islamic education institutions in Indonesia.
