Abstract

Introduction: Communities, particularly vulnerable groups such as adolescents and community volunteers, often face limitations in knowledge and skills when dealing with health emergencies and disasters. Low preparedness can increase the risk of complications in emergency cases, including wound care, adolescent reproductive health, and the need for basic first aid. Therefore, empowerment-based community interventions are necessary to enhance the capacity of individuals and communities. Objective: The purpose of this service was to improve the knowledge and skills of teenagers and RW 04 cadre in Cibeet Village, Ibun, Bandung Regency, in dealing with health emergencies and disasters. Method: This public service was conducted using educational methods, demonstrations, and simulations covering wound care, disaster identification, prevention of reproductive health emergencies in adolescents, and Basic Life Support (BLS). Before and after the activity, pre-tests and post-tests were conducted to measure the participants' knowledge level. Result: The evaluation results showed a significant increase in knowledge among adolescents and cadres after the activities, reflecting the effectiveness of participatory learning methods in community empowerment. These activities contributed to strengthening community resilience, particularly among vulnerable groups, through enhanced capacity in prevention, early management, and health emergency response. Conclusion: There was a significant increase in knowledge among adolescents and cadres after the activity, reflecting the effectiveness of participatory learning methods in community empowerment.
