Abstract

Digitalization of MSMEs is one strategy to accelerate the development of MSMEs in an inclusive and massive manner. The Financial Technology (Fintech) phenomenon in recent years has encouraged the emergence of various new services in the financial sector, including Crowdfunding. Crowdfunding is the practice of raising funds or investment by utilizing a site or website. Currently, it is indicated that there is still very little use of crowdfunding among MSMEs players. For this reason, a comprehensive study is needed regarding the importance of MSMEs utilizing Crowdfunfing as an alternative to overcome capital problems. Research design used is mix method (descriptive non experimental and judgement sampling). Sample are selecting by non-random sampling (judgment sampling). Based on the results of a survey involving 71 business doers, most of them are managers and owners, included the category of small and medium business doers with 50 to 100 employees, it was found that most of these business doers were familiar with crowdfunding as an easily accessible funding alternative. The results of the analysis using SEM-PLS, interesting findings were obtained that perceptions and aspects of technology and entrepreneurship from business actors had a positive effect on interest in using crowdfunding. Recommendations for future research are the need to research the role of capital markets and regulations, which in this research were assessed as having not been optimally socialized by MSMEs players. The point is that in the future MSMEs players must be given space to gain access to funding through crowdfunding in an inclusive manner.

Abstract

Circular Economy (CE) is an alternative concept to switch from a linear economy (take-make-dispose) to make-use-recycle. The CE concept is elaborated as a future policy in Indonesia's Vision 2045 to immediately carry out economic transformation. Practically, there are big challenges and focus on the current actual conditions. So far, the CE practice approach has been more directed at technology and manufacturing changes. Therefore, seeing the role of industry players is important to accelerate CE practices. In terms of the possibility of their resources, large business doers can accommodate the use of ES methods. However, SME players believe that CE implementation practices are still not optimal. For SME players, implementing the CE business model will have a faster impact compared to large businesses because of two things: closer to the end customer and a decentralized production system. Thus, investigations into CE practices in SMEs are important to provide an understanding of the extent to which SMEs can implement practices within a practical and efficient scope. This paper describes the findings in the field from 75 respondents (SMEs) in Malang (East Java) regarding CE practices from a behavioral aspect. The result of this study is expected to be preliminary research in the development of the behavior model of CE practices in SMEs.

Abstract

Circular Economy (CE) offers an alternative to the linear economy (take-make-dispose) by adopting a make-use-recycle approach. While CE practices have primarily focused on technological and manufacturing changes, large businesses can more easily implement these practices due to their resources. However, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often struggle with CE implementation due to limited resources, particularly funding. FinTech Crowdfunding, especially donation-based (social crowdfunding), presents a viable funding alternative for SMEs. This research aims to develop a theoretical model using the Willingness to Participate Theory and the AIDA model for understanding and promoting CE practices among SMEs through the use of social crowdfunding. A survey was conducted with 69 SME actors. The research findings have led to the development of a model incorporating three key determinants: funding resources, community engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit. These factors are identified as antecedents that significantly influence SME awareness and willingness to adopt CE practices. The proposed model highlights how these elements can enhance SME participation in Indonesia. This model can serve as a foundation for future research in this area.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Building community engagement involving consumers, business actors, and others stakeholders as part of a marketing strategy for creating value co-creation has become a new phenomenon. This research provides a conceptual model of community-based action to assess its impact on value co-creation and how far it affects behavioral components in order to resolve the problem (intention and actual use). The suggested model can be used to conduct research to increase product purchase intent with high community involvement. Interviews and observations have been conducted at the Sentra Industri Tempe Sanan-Malang (East Java) to accurately execute the model, whose success is supported by the community's strength in the form of the association (Paguyuban). The research was conducted in July–August 2021 with the participation of 30 locals. The findings of the initial identification strongly support employing the suggested model in subsequent studies. Keywords: Actual Purchase, Behaviour, Community Engagement, Intention to repurchase, Value Co-creation. Â
