Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dan mahasiswi Universitas Negeri Medan, prodi Pendidikan Matematika. Dalam penelitian ini, metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa kuesioner online yaitu Google Form sebagai instrumen penelitian yang disebarkan. Hasil analisis data dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ternyata mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia sangat penting bagi mahasiswa-mahasiswi prodi Pendidikan Matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan perangkat lunak GeoGebra sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel (SPLDV). GeoGebra memungkinkan siswa untuk memahami konsep-konsep matematis dengan lebih baik melalui visualisasi yang jelas dan interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan GeoGebra dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis N-gain dari berbagai penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan GeoGebra mengalami peningkatan pemahaman yang lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Namun, minat dan motivasi siswa terhadap penggunaan teknologi ini bervariasi. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi guru untuk menerapkan pendekatan yang beragam dan menyesuaikan model pembelajaran sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa. Dengan strategi pengajaran yang tepat, GeoGebra dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi SPLDV.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR) learning media based on Assemblr Edu for the topic of flat-faced geometric shapes and to determine its feasibility, practicality, and impact on students' interest and learning outcomes. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model, which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects of the study were eighth-grade students at SMP Swasta Cerdas Murni during the 2024/2025 academic year. Research instruments consisted of expert validation sheets, learning interest questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest). The results of expert validation on the material obtained an average score of 84%, and media expert validation scored 95%, both categorized as "Very Valid," while teachers' responses to the learning media scored 84%, categorized as "Very Practical”. Based on the data analysis results, there was an increase in the average student learning outcomes from 59.11 in the pretest to 83.75 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant improvement in learning outcomes. In addition, students' learning interest also increased from an average score of 43.75 to 62.71, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant increase as well. Therefore, the Assemblr Edu-based Augmented Reality learning media is deemed feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing students' interest and learning outcomes in the material of flat-sided geometric shapes and can serve as an innovative alternative media in mathematics learning at school.

Abstract

Statistics is often considered difficult by high school students because the learning approach tends to be theoretical and less interactive, resulting in students' low mathematical understanding of concepts such as mean, median, and mode. This study aims to develop educational website-based learning media with a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach to improve students' mathematical understanding. The research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) model with the adoption of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The research subjects were grade XI students of Imelda Private High School Medan who were divided into an experimental class (using PBL website media) and a control class (conventional method). Data were collected through validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and mathematical understanding tests (pre-test and post-test). The results of the website media were declared "Very Feasible" with a validation score of 95%. The effectiveness results showed a significant increase in the average post-test score (63.91) from the pre-test (26.26), with a Normalized Gain (N-Gain) score of 0.51 (category "Medium"). The student response questionnaire also showed a positive response, with an average of 82.57% ("Effective"). Implications This media, which has innovative features such as a statistical calculator and Excel upload data analysis, serves as an effective scaffold for PBL, encouraging students to conduct data analysis independently, and helping shift 73.9% of students from the "Very Low" ability category.
