Abstract

The election of regional heads in Indonesia is a direct mandate of the reform movement in 1998. The election of regional heads is part of local democracy, which to realize good democracy, the implementation that can be carried out is the election of regional heads. This aims to channel the aspirations of the community to exercise their voting rights. The election of Regional Heads that is carried out directly can increase the participation of the community. However, it is not uncommon for many people to not care about the election of regional heads. Most of them are apathetic and do not find out about the future leader they will choose. This can happen because the prospective leaders promise a lot of things that can attract the attention of the public but are not implemented correctly. So that the community is disappointed and does not want to know anymore about how the leader will lead them in the future. This analysis is to find out the participation of the community in carrying out local democracy through the election of regional heads. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative research is an approach used to understand the phenomena experienced by the research subject, for example motivation, perception, action, and so on.

Abstract

This study aims to provide the emotional importance of Civics teachers in developing the character of students who tend to be ignored by teachers who educate students with unstable emotions. The method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach through interviews and observations at SMP Negeri 3 Medan as a data collection tool. From the results of the research conducted, it was found that the teacher's emotionality at SMP Negeri 3 Medan was good as a moral influence and good coaching in developing character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran pajak daerah dalam pembangunan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pajak merupakan sumber utama pendapatan negara yang digunakan untuk membiayai pengeluaran umum dan pembangunan. Pajak daerah, khususnya, memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan infrastruktur, pelayanan publik, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Melalui optimalisasi Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD), pemerintah daerah dapat membiayai kegiatan operasional dan pembangunan, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Faktor-faktor seperti pemahaman wajib pajak, pertumbuhan ekonomi, inflasi, jumlah penduduk, dan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) mempengaruhi dampak pajak daerah. Kesadaran dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam membayar pajak sangat penting untuk mencapai kemandirian dan keberlanjutan pembangunan daerah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran Pemerintah Desa Bandar Klippa dalam membangun budaya politik generasi milenial pasca Pemilihan Umum 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemerintah Desa Bandar Klippa mengadopsi berbagai strategi untuk meningkatkan partisipasi politik generasi milenial, seperti penyelenggaraan forum diskusi, pelatihan sosialisasi, dan pemanfaatan media sosial. Forum diskusi rutin diadakan untuk membahas isu-isu politik lokal, sementara pelatihan sosialisasi difokuskan pada peningkatan pemahaman mengenai proses pemilihan dan peran serta hak politik. Media sosial digunakan sebagai alat utama untuk menjangkau dan mengedukasi generasi milenial tentang pentingnya partisipasi politik. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan hambatan signifikan, seperti rendahnya pemahaman politik lokal di kalangan generasi milenial dan kurangnya keterlibatan aktif mereka dalam kegiatan politik. Kurangnya edukasi politik sejak dini dan dominasi informasi politik nasional dibandingkan dengan isu-isu lokal turut berkontribusi pada hambatan ini. Kesimpulannya, meskipun upaya pemerintah desa sudah signifikan, dibutuhkan perhatian lebih lanjut dalam edukasi dan keterlibatan generasi milenial untuk menciptakan budaya politik yang lebih inklusif dan partisipatif di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

The development of digital technology brings a significant impact on people's social life, creating media integration in daily life. These advancements provide positive impacts such as increased access to information, ease of communication, economic growth, and improved quality of life. However, the negative impacts include problems in education and social aspects, including the risk of concentration disorders and pressure from social media. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to understand this phenomenon.The results show that digital technology makes positive contributions such as increasing access to information and strengthening social communication. However, the negative impacts include over-dependence that disrupts daily activities, a decrease in direct social interactions, the risk of depression and anxiety, and the spread of fake news that can lead to conflict.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of the zoning system on student morality at SMA Negeri 2 Medan, which is regulated by Permendikbud No 51/2018. Although it aims to equalize access to education, the implementation of the zoning system shows significant changes in students' behavior and morality. The qualitative research method was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Medan with a focus on direct observation during Civics learning. The results revealed decreased learning motivation, lack of discipline, and reduced responsiveness to teachers' teaching as negative impacts of the zoning system. While it provides equal access to education, it also challenges the management of student morality. Conflicts arise between the implementation of zoning and efforts to shape student character, with academic selection students tending to have better character. Teachers are faced with the additional task of guiding students in ethics and manners. This research provides an in-depth understanding of the social and behavioral impacts of students in the context of education policy. While the zoning system has positive goals, additional strategies are needed to maintain and improve student morality in schools that implement this system.
