Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of competence and work environment on employee performance at the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta je'neberang, Gowa Regency. The types of data used in this research are qualitative and quantitative data. Sources of data used in this study are secondary data and primary data. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression, and (T test, and F test, coefficient of determination) Y=4.376+0.639+0.1552. The results of the analysis of the correlation coefficient on the variable (X1) to (Y) of 0.951 which indicates the relationship which is strong while the variable X2 to Y is 0.980. The coefficient of determination is 97% then through the calculated f test of 640.186 > f table of 3.25 then through the t-test on the X1 variable to the Y variable at 3.775 > 1.687 while the X2 variable against the Y variable 9.449 > 1.687 so that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus the hypothesis which states that competence and work environment partially and simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance at the Regional Air Mining Company (PDAM) Tirta je'neberang, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) implementation on recruitment outcomes, focusing on the mediating role of candidate experience and the moderating effects of trust in AI and organizational culture. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from human resource (HR) professionals across various industries in Indonesia. The results reveal that AI implementation positively affects candidate experience and the quality of hires, with candidate experience as a significant mediator in these relationships. Trust in AI is found to play a dual role, both directly influencing candidate experience and quality of hires and moderating the relationship between AI implementation and candidate experience. Organizational culture, particularly an innovation-oriented culture, strengthens the impact of AI implementation on candidate experience. The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of candidate experience as a higher-order construct and highlights the importance of trust and cultural alignment in AI-driven recruitment. Practical implications emphasize the need for transparent AI systems, regular feedback, and fostering an innovation-oriented culture to enhance recruitment outcomes. Limitations include the cross-sectional design and the focus on a single country, suggesting opportunities for future research to explore longitudinal effects and cross-cultural comparisons.

Abstract

For This study aims to determine the effect of technology-assisted management learning on children's organisational skills. This type of research is quantitative research with a meta-analysis approach. The inclusion criteria in this study are a) publications come from Google Scholar; ERIC, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, Wiley and Taylor of Francis, b) publications must be indexed by SINTA, Scopus and Web of Science, c) research topics must be relevant, d) research published in 2022-2024, e) publications must have complete data to calculate the effect size value. Data analysis with the help of the JASP application. The results of this study concluded that 1) 21 studies analysed were heterogeneously distributed; 2) there was a significant effect of technology-based management learning on children's organisational skills (p < 0.05; rRE = 1.25; 3) in this meta-analysis there was no publication bias. These findings indicate the effect of technology-based management learning on children's organisational skills with a very high effect size category.

Abstract

This study investigates how employee skills and workplace diversity influence customer satisfaction, brand awareness, and employee retention in Indonesian restaurants in Taiwan. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the research explores the direct and indirect effects of these variables, with customer satisfaction acting as a crucial mediator. The findings highlight that employee skills significantly enhance customer satisfaction, which directly strengthens brand awareness and customer retention. Likewise, workplace diversity enriches customer experience, improving satisfaction and broadening brand reach. Notably, customer satisfaction mediates the relationships between employee skills, workplace diversity, and retention, underscoring its pivotal role in linking workforce dynamics to business outcomes. This paper contributes to Human Capital Theory and Social Exchange Theory, emphasizing the strategic value of developing employee skills and fostering workplace diversity. Practical implications suggest that restaurant owners should invest in training programs and inclusive workplace policies to enhance customer experience, build brand loyalty, and reduce employee turnover, ultimately driving business success.

Abstract

This study investigates how coastal fishing communities in Sulawesi negotiate everyday livelihoods amid the growth of tourism. While tourism has been promoted as a diversification strategy for small-scale fishing economies, little is known about how local households experience and interpret the interplay between traditional livelihoods and emerging tourism opportunities. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, this research draws on interviews, focus groups, and participant observation conducted in two coastal villages in South Sulawesi during 2024. The findings reveal a complex process of negotiation in which fishing families simultaneously embrace, resist, and adapt to tourism. On one hand, tourism creates new income streams through homestays, boat tours, and seafood sales, enabling some households to reduce dependence on uncertain fishing yields. On the other hand, it generates tensions related to resource competition, cultural commodification, and unequal access to benefits. Importantly, the study highlights the ways in which households navigate these changes through flexible livelihood strategies, gendered role adjustments, and community-based norms of sharing. The research contributes to tourism and development scholarship by foregrounding the lived experiences of fishing communities, offering insights into how tourism intersects with traditional economies in Indonesia’s coastal regions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap prestasi belajar siswa melalui kompetensi guru dan kinerja guru di Sekolah Dasar gugus V Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunaka metode survei yang bersifat kausal yang pelaksanaanya dilakukan pada 5 sekolah dasar yang terdapat di Kecamatan Rappocini. Populasi dari penelitian ini ialah guru pada 5 sekolah dasar yang terdapat di gugus V Kecamatan Rappocini sebanyak 103 guru, kemudian untuk sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 82 guru yang diperoleh berdasarkan rumus slovin. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala likeart yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Kemudian untuk tenik analisis data yang digunakan ialah analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kepemimipinan kepala sekolah melalui kinerja guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik, serta kepemimipinan kepala sekolah melalui kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik pada Sekolah Dasar gugus V di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan salah satu upaya dalam melakukan rekayasa sosial.  Pemberdayaan  perempuan  merupakan upaya  memperbaiki  status   dan   peran  perempuan dalam pembangunan  bangsa,  sama  halnya  dengan kualitas  peran  dan  kemandirian  organisasi perempuan.  Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh wanita nelayan khususnya mitra wanita nelayan Poklahsarkan Konnya Ujunge adalah  (1) Ketergantungan ekonomi wanita nelayan terhadap hasil tangkapan nelayan, (2) Ketidakmampuan perempuan nelayan untuk melakukan diversifikasi dan kegiatan pengolahan ikan karena kurangnya keterampilan dan pengetahuan menjadi salah satu penyebab rendahnya fleksibilitas keuangan rumah tangga nelayan; (3) Ketidakmampuan wanita nelayan melakukan manajemen ekonomi keluarga akibat ketidaktahuan dan terbatasnya pengetahuan, (4) Rendahnya kemampuan kelompok pengolahan dan pemasar ikan (Poklahsarkan) Konnya Ujunge dalam memproduksi abon ikan konya. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan meliputi Tahap Pengamatan dan Sosialisasi, Tahap Pemilihan dan Penyusunan Metode Kegiatan, Tahap Pelaksanaan dan Monitoring dan Evaluasi. Dari kegiatan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat secara garis besar diidentifikasi permasalahan utama dari mitra saat ini, yaitu: Kurangnya pengetahuan mitra mengenai diversifikasi produk, kapasitas produksi masih terbatas, Manajemen Pemasaran dan Manajemen Usaha. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada mitra ini masih harus terus berlanjut untuk mewujudkan mitra menuju UMKM naik kelas.

Abstract

BUMDes sebagai lembaga yang dikelola oleh aparatur desa BUMDes memanfaatkan kondisi wilayah di daerahnya untuk di kembangkan bersama mitra terkait. Salah satu daerah yang disinggung tersebut adalah Desa Timbuseng Kab Gowa yang menjadi fokus tempat tim pengabdian masyarakat.  Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal tim,ditemukan data bahwa Bumdes SMB  Timbuseng belum mampu melihat potensi desa untuk dijadikan sumber usaha, para pengurus Bumdes masih perlu di tingkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola Bumdes, serta kurangnya fasilitas peralatan pengolahan sampah di Bumdes. Berangkat daripada permasalahan tersebut, PKM ini berupaya untuk menguatkan kapasitas pelembagaan Bumdes  Desa Timbuseng melalui desain model penguatan kapasitas dengan program pelatihan dan pendampingan. Tahap pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan menganalisis permasalahan melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan  penyusunan Business Plan, manajemen keuangan, manajemen pemasaran, serta pemanfaatan teknologi kepada BUMDes. Peran mitra adalah menyiapkan peserta selama kegiatan. Luaran dari PKM ini adalah mitra mampu menyusun Business Plan, mitra mampu menyusun laporan keuangan sesuai standar akuntansi, mitra memanfaatkan teknologi tepat guna (mesin pencacah sampah plastik) untuk menunjang usaha persampahan, serta mampu memanfaatkan e-commerce dan media sosial untuk  memperkenalkan unit usaha Bumdes dan memasarkan produk-produk Bumdes.  Kontribusi yang diberikan kepada Bumdes adalah memberikan bantuan hibah peralatan Mesin Pencacah Sampah Plastik dari kemendiktisaintek.
